CHoS I am totally against ill thought out knee jerk reactions.
The business has done well to weather the covid storm and is gearing up for more production, cost reduction and diversity of operations and products. Those are considerable achievements.
Certainly not grounds for removing a CEO!
Pdub, I agree. I have never heard a more insane suggestion.
Oh bore off
I agree Pdub. Fortune is the best person for the job! I was not and would not advocate for that.
Hi. "Those pesky £10.01k trades have showed up again pushing us down. Had a few this morning and a few this afternoon."
Interesting. I hadn't noticed these. (Assuming you mean trades with value around £10,010 ... and presumably they are PI sales of exactly £10k after commission and levy)
Here is a list of BMN trades with value between £10,005 and £10,015 going back to the beginning of April

There have indeed been far more than the normal amount of these trades today ... but it's still only 6 trades ... gotta say that it's a bit hard to believe that these are to any significant extent responsible for "pushing us down" as you suggest!
CHoS I am totally against what you are suggesting, as I was back in 2016 or whenever, last time a few tried to stir up support to get rid of Fortune.
History shows us what a silly idea it was then and I am confident the same will happen this time around. Just to remind you that shortly after that nonsense the sp began its rise from 2p ish upto 48p!
I will also say now that in the stupidly unlikely circumstance that Fortune was unseated, that would be the day that every penny of mine would leave BMN.
Analogue company in a digital world.......
Agree with everything you say and I think you will get lots of support as many people think we are a rudderless ship when it comes to ROI for shareholders......
Year after year we are drifting whilst everyone around us with seemingly less to offer are performing better !!!!
Wake up BOD
CHos
Be interested in who you may think could do a better job ?
Well said.
Thats why Q1 is so critical. They have said "keep the faith", "we hear you", "there is something we can do about the SP" etc etc etc.
It's time to stand tall and deliver. I have made my views abundantly clear in that respect. I have the upmost respect for Fortune, but this isnt a charity and we aren't here to lose money.
The business is on the cusp of what is probably the most important period in its history. Q1 matters because it sets us off on the right foot and will help us to start building towards a H2 that will include the highest ever production capacity and our VRFB story with Eskom finally launching. The stakes couldnt be higher really. Look at IES news - VRFB needs production growth and we are simply the best placed company to deliver it. The game is truly afoot and the days of talking about VRFB coming are coming to an end.
The onus is on Bushveld to turn the last two years performance around. They know it, we know it. Lindon's gonna Lindon - it doesnt affect anything in the grand scheme of things. There are things to improve, everyone knows what they are and most people agree they need improving. Q1 report is the time for the company to start showing they are on it and showing the Vametco upgrade has gone well, that Q2 is going to be better, and that the over-delivering starts now and even moreso in Q2.
The market wont really care about last years results now, in case people haven't noticed, we have been paying the price for them for about 12 months now, so there is literally no argument possible that they are not already priced in.
The story is about rising vanadium prices, increasing production, returning to proper profitability, heading towards a win with Eskom, showing Abengoa was no issue for the mini-grid, site progress on BelCo and showing the company is right back on track.
The markets want to see that Bushveld can actually run this business and in a way that beats expectations, not falls short of them. Fortune literally said that in the last analyst call. They know they have to deliver. Anything less is not good enough and I am sure that is the entire BoD's attitude at the moment and Steve is right about timing to make sure they do. They know patience is wearing thin and they know investors have been frustrated at the lack of performance and news.
Hopefully this is finally the point we turn the corner and we now see iterative, relentless progress. It is obvious that investors are positioning for this to be the case.
UKSteve, I too am much more interested in the way forward as opposed to the history which we know (and I doubt there is anything lurking). Indeed the 35 day maintenance shut down was known to be coming and is all part of the gearing up for the enhanced production levels. I don't think the loss from this will be nearly as bad as some might think as they will have been able to sell from existing stockpiles. Quarter 2 should be a major advance.
I think we already know that last year wasn’t great, but the impact of Covid will apply to most companies (a minority did rather well!). We know Q1 has taken a hit from the 35 day closure for maintenance, but the mitigation here should be that the output was up to the targets for the days the mine was open and producing. I am more interested in the other news rolled into Q1 relating to the Electrolyte plant, Lemur, market listings, etc. I have expectations here.
.
Whatever the case, the past yr and past qtr reports are not going to make for pretty reading.
*********
Throughout the past year there have been countless examples of terrible results followed by a sharp rise in the share price. The market isn't looking at today...

Stirrer.
I am surprised the owners of this board and general BMN police have not shot you down for your opinion.
Whatever the case, the past yr and past qtr reports are not going to make for pretty reading.
Hopefully the guidance for the coming yr will go a long way to mitigating what are bound to be some rather abysmal looking numbers.
Final Results
2020 - 23 June
2019 - 23 May
2018 - 29 June
Again I wouldn’t want to put money on any specific date. They have to be published by 30 June.
Sorry investing.com
Full yr audited results are required to be published by 30th June latest. It’s possible they are about ready to go with the full monty and the quarterly report is just waiting on that to be signed off and intend getting both out at the same time.
Always possible UK although that is pure speculation. This has been discussed many times and it has been established that there is no pattern to specific Q release dates.
Previous Q1 dates:
2020 04 May
2019 15 May
2018 27 April
Today is 12 May. Good luck to anyone playing the release date prediction game if you can work out a past pattern. However not unreasonable to assume sometime in next couple of weeks. Would I put money on that? No.
Personally I don’t like releasing news through long and complicated Q results but given that is what they do then I can understand why the dates may vary each quarter with so much info to process etc.
As I said … they will be released when they are ready.
The earnings date is listed on Investopedia as 21 June.
I have a theory that they held them back so they can mitigate the strike action in April and be in a position to say they’ve made up for lost time in terms of production.
When they are ready. I’m not being sarcastic iphone. BMN do not publish quarterlies to a specific date. Therefore when they are ready. We just have to be patient. Could be today or it could be a couple of weeks or more.
