Thanks Ashton. A long way to go yet which is good.
I detect some sarcasm from you GrrenGrass....I just do not want others saying 'whats the point in staying' if i left - this forum should be for all and i want others to continue in their own right - dont worry about me.
Ye need to realise the bank have agreed to buy back €520m worth of shares and that’s exactly what they will do . No need to micro manage it
I think the figure of 392M is the amount of funds still available, was €500M, spent just over €100M. That's how I think it is, please feel free to correct my interpretation.
Have you one zero too many on your buys back still available, John?
Hey John, how many shares did bank buy today ? Or will you tell us on Monday!
I don't think you need to worry on that score
What % through the buys backs are they? Hopefully the momentum north continues and the FT average 12 month forecast of 11.70 (today) comes in early.... GLA
Good recovery in sp this am.
buy back now totals 14,189,435 shares with voting rights now totalling 1,044,324,000 and a balance of 392,263,100 available for buy backs which should leave voting rights of little over 1 billion on buy back completion.
Thank you. Had a lot of messages to re consider and don't want a mass exodus just because I'm leaving.
Back above €10 in the morning…

GG,
Seeing AIB have hit 5.08 seriously considering unloading at least 50% of holding at that level as with the 26.5c div gives overall 5.35 which is above lot of analysts TP. As posted before they should go ex div more often seeing the SP has only taken off since going ex div.
Not inclined to sell BIRG just yet as I believe another 50c in them considering the large differential in the respective mkt caps of AIB and BIRG which I believe should narrow in BIRG's favour , appreciating that a drop in AIB SP relative to BIRG will also reduce differential.
As for JH the only thing he’s sold is an ice cream out the window of a chipper
If that’s the case you’ll never sell because you don’t have the balls
Fomo has me in it's grip
Can you not work it out for yourself it’s fairly easy!
I AM OUTTA HERE were you only joking?
This is the highest they have reached since 2023 results were announced. Think they reached 10.50 then, JH can confirm as he off loaded some at the top around then. I m sorely tempted to do likewise now but the greed factor is holding me back. Decisions, decisions.
Happy days!!!
The real last price (16:27:47) in London was 9.82, nearly all the volume was either "uncrossing or late reported. The real price in Dublin (the main listing) was 9.844. I would ignore the 10.
A yway hopefully onwards and upwards tomorrow! GLTA
Why the difference between London and Dublin quoted SP
Blackrock have bought and sold BIRG all the way up from the €1.40 levels. Their buying/selling patterns are hard to understand - they seem to see BIRG as a trading stock and change positions frequently.
In addition to the entity in the RNS, BlackRock Institutional Trust Company, N.A. also has 2.28% of BIRG. I don't think there is "Double Counting"
I wonder will they seek a chair at the top table?
They are indeed which is a good sign considering they were selling this time last year from what I recall, countering any price increase from buy backs.
Are Blackrock buying again now?
I'm still here
