Frame.io I understand was bought for 60x revenue. Blackbird has a higher valuation as a multiple of revenue, so not sure too many aquirers out there at this price multiple without some form offantastic product synergy as frame.io and Adobe have.

Most IM’s holdings are in a family trust.
Blackbird (AIM: BIRD; OTCQX: BBRDF), the developer and seller of the market-leading cloud video editing platform, Blackbird, was informed that, on 13 September 2021, the McDonough Family Trust, of which Ian McDonough, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, is a beneficiary, purchased 230,000 ordinary shares of 0.8 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 34.282 pence per Ordinary Share. The Company was informed that, on 14 September 2021, the McDonough Family Trust purchased a further 349,139 Ordinary Shares at a price of 34.70 pence per Ordinary Share.
Following the above purchase, the McDonough Family now together hold a total beneficial interest in 26,179,016 Ordinary Shares, equivalent to approximately 7.74 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
MikeyB55,
This site shows his own shareholding as a Director( I think his wife's dealings are within his own ) ....best follow this page , where all 3%+ holdings are regularly updated
https://www.blackbird.video/aim-rule-26-information/
The Family Trust... are..one assumes...to be "persons closely associated with " and as such their share dealing has to be disclosed ..which may include other shares bought by Ian and his wife..but within the wrapper of the Trust)
A Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities (PDMR) of an issuer and those that are closely associated with them are required to: Notify the FCA of every transaction that has been conducted on their own account relating to the shares
Are the director selling? IM sharehding according to this board has dropped from 20m shares to 9m shares. Are these shares transferred to the family trust and then sold off so they are not disclosed? Any answers on this as many of the directors post on this board
Cheers Pokerchips, that OTT thing is interesting. IBC and NAB rather dominate world audio-visual tech shows - NAB has been cancelled twice now but should be back in April 22. Very expensive to attend/exhibit but all major customers of kit attend one or the other or both. Press releases roll out every day of the show, so companies will often time announcements to coincide with their presence at the event.

hI.....
I am not sure if the news of a possible future strike of backstage workers in the US and its possible effect on production of content has had a negative effect today ...although BIRD is more aligned to news and sport and much less with Apple,Amazon,Netflix, Disney streaming content production
.....workers looking for better pay and conditions. ( like everyone else ) ..but production companies may be effected if talks with Unions fail ..these things are usually short term disruptions....

I suspect that the marketing in the US will be done in later part of October /November ...once the media headlines regarding the US Debt limit and media coverage of possible US default and Budget passes.....they certainly like to create bi-partisan drama out of it all....I am not sure they will want to promote to investors during a couple of weeks or so of US drama and uncertainty (if it comes to that )
The IBC in Amsterdam will be a hybrid event by the looks of it ..although everyone seems very keen to have a live in-person show event...online viewing interaction will be great too
"This hybrid digital platform will create a compelling hybrid event that combines the best of the show floor with state of the art online interaction, and delivers new opportunities for exhibitors, speakers and show attendees to share information and experiences."
The boost in early May has eventually faded back, leaving a residual 4p lift in the underlying sp, which continues to rise at a steady and slightly accelerated pace with periodic spikes of around 8-10p: https://invst.ly/w7wv0
These seem to be mainly triggered by news of deals struck by the company, with perhaps the next obvious news opportunity being at IBC, which takes place in early December this year, having been postponed from its usual slot in September.
I think that a sale by directors is a long way off. In a recent interview IM referred to BIRD being like Acorn Computers that transformed itself to ARM and that transition is beginning to happen now.
