Biggest risks for me are running out of money and needing to raise finance with such a low SP. Its a bit like a famine victim being invited to an all you can eat banquet but starving to death before they arrive.
If we can generate revenue to offset the spend the next hurdle is the competition, the current competition doesn’t phase me, it’s the other players with masses of cash. Google, Amazon etc if we can dodge that bullet, get their buy in or sign an agreement with them I don’t think there is much else that can stop this going nuclear.
Indeed Fursake. So what do you think are the main risks in your opinion?
I think personally the measurability piece that Derek Wise alluded to in his podcast interview is a biggie. Big brands will not spend the big bucks without that it seems. They need to be able to measure it and report back on effectiveness, at scale. With no template to go off, this is imo what alot of the work being done this year will have been going into.
Maybe they have reached a point where the likes of Dentsu are happy, but it just hasn't been announced yet. Based on what DW said though, I don't think they were there yet. It will be the type of thing that if bids achieve it and it gets RNS'd, the market will completely undervalue the significance of it imo, but it will be the big official step forward in creating this net new ad category.
That’s ok Jimmy disagreements are healthy, unlike some I welcome different viewpoints that encourage debate.
That’s one thing that the world in general lacks is tolerance of others different opinions and views.
Interesting theory Yogi. Isn't Pubguard part of bidstack group plc now though?
Fursake, can't disagree with any of that. Although you have excelled yourself in stating the blinking obvious.
Title of your thread was 'Brace yourself'. You say the risk here is 'colossal'. I was just hoping to hear your thoughts on what you view as main risks/timeframes with this share.
You said any company on AIM could go bust tomorrow. On a bidstack message board, I am assumed you are including bids in this. I'm also assumed from your message that you were lumping every AIM company in the same risk category, based on your message, which I disagree with.
AIM companies in general are a higher risk than traditional stocks, that is irrefutable, which is inherent in the purpose of an alternative investment market.
At no point have I ever stated bidstack are going bust... Unless you can quote that for me?
I have significant holdings in bidstack (significant to me anyway) do you really think I would hold that if I thought they were going to go bust?
What I am saying is, let’s not pretend that it is an impossibility... there is clearly an elevated risk in dealing with AIM stocks and with that comes increased rewards.
If you worry about an investment and it causes you emotional distress or anguish it is the wrong investment choice, again that is common sense.
Encouraging people to keep piling into an investment which is already causing them distress is at best irresponsible and at worst reckless endangerment.
My other wild theory is that JD and FP sold shares to buy Pubguard as a separate business. Not required by takeover company.
My only take on this atm is an imminent takeover. Business model proven to work now. No news because NDA wrapped around all company dealings until completion. JD not worried about sp as sale price has been agreed. He's personally lost £5m in share value in the last 2 months but sleeps well at night. Just my opinion.
Fursake sorry but seeing your last few posts, totally disagree.
‘If you wouldn’t add more shares then you should sell’ - disagree
Your blanket statement below about greater chance of going bust just because you’re on aim - disagree
What scenario and timeframe do you see bidstack going bust? Or was it just a baseless blanket statement?
Look at Monster Inc and the progress that company made a good few years ago now. Bidstack have a good number of things in their favour compared to that company. Making out all companies are equal risk that are listed on aim is just total drivel.
ha ha party is going on everywhere else
Anyone who believes that your money is safe in any AIM stock is delusional.
You should be aware that there are reasons these companies are on AIM. Any one of them could go bust tomorrow it really is that savage.
If you are not prepared to lose everything you should sell up and put your money in bonds or REITs or even a Dividend Growth Portfolio... hell even a gold index fund would be better suited.
But let’s not pretend the risk here is not colossal, but let’s also not shy away from the truth that the reward is also colossal. It’s not for the faint hearted and it’s certainly not for everyone. Respect one another and help them make decisions that is right for them and not just to serve your own agenda.
Let’s instil some humanity back into this board and stop the bickering.
