No problem Wilson. But I’m sure he’ll want to outsmart WPP. He beat to the purchase of MediaMonks and I’m sure he’ll do it again.
Let's hope we are independent for at least another 12 months, we may attract bigger fish, Sorrell is certainly racing to fill out his all round offering I can see why intrepid thinks so highly of him.
Riosurfer see my reply to Girdz I got my sorrells all mixed up and have therefore placed myself in the doghouse
Wilson meant Wpp. Got the sorrel connection wrong.
S4 will be looking though as MS will want to our do WPP and as S4 are pure digital play bids fits the bill.
Wilson63: When you say "one foot in the ring" with S4, what exactly do you mean? I understood that WPP had invested along with a division of Axel Springer . I was not aware that S4 was on board with Anzu as well. But perhaps I missed something and happy to stand corrected.
Haha I've had a rotten day brain fart thanks Girdz :)
Doubt that Wilson.
WPP in anzu.
Can’t see S4 being in with Anzu too give sorrels relationship with WPP
I'm only catching up so apologies if already stated( I'm at 11a.m) sfor have one foot in the ring with anzu.
Count. don't be a kill-joy. I'm having some fun.
Who knows; you might actually be correct this time.
we will soon all know.
intrepid.
Hi Count.
why is it that only you are allowed to be here? oh yes. because you are a paid employee of BIDS.
I forget.
tell me, Mr Marketing Exec of BIDS, what happened to that 'proven' c. £2.6m of revenues you had generated in Oct-DEC 2018?
intrepid
Hi Jimmystocks.
not talking it down, merely pointing out that smell.
intrepid
How many times do you repeat the same thing!
I have a feeling they are going to get institutional investors in the next raise. Sticky sticky.
That’s 2 months away, potentially more as they are not paying any business rates and office rents. Possibly furloughed a few non essential employees. So originally it was June but I can see the need for cash being July/ August. Lots of good news before that though.
Number of posts increasing, as the share price increases. Intrepid desperately trying to talk the price down, and yet apparently he holds. Hahaha very funny TOM.
* thing, not think
Hi Piller2post.
there are no 'shorts' left in BIDS now. They all made their money ages ago. When a share reaches 3p from 40p, you can be certain that no-one (and I mean no-one) is still shorting at 3p.
This think will rise on purchases alone now, not people closing shorts they somehow decided were still viable at 3p.
What 'this' won't kill off, is the need for cash within the next 8 weeks. Unless, of course, BIDS fails in that time - that'll kill off the need - but that's akin to killing the patient to cure them of the disease. I don't even think JD is that stupid.
Intrepid.
Hi Girds.
you should re-read my posts re bids.
I was all loved up to start off with it; in at 5.8p and loaded up all the way to 19p, with an average of 12p.
but I turned when I could not see any advertising in the SEP19 release of GRID (or was it DIRT2).
the selling of as many shares as they could was the biggest red flag and then the profits warning that exposed the lies of the 2018 revenues (and the lies in the APR19 prospectus for raising the further £5m) was the final nail.
I don't and won't trust JD again. I won't be alone in that view and that will affect how easy they will be able to raise cash (i.e., 'not very easily').
Smart money sees this sort of deceit for what it is and stays away - or gets a fantastic price at the cost of all the existing shareholders (dilution).
Count and Co don't want to talk about the elephant in the room, but we can all see and smell it. that's why its the perfect metaphor for this situation. We all know there is fund-raising coming. Why some refuse to talk about or acknowledge that fact, does not remove it. Instead, their unwillingness to discuss it should highlight their bias (and hidden agendas, or stupidity - take your pick).
My advice is also don't trust anyone who refuses to talk about the Loxodonta Elephantus that is standing in the butter in the fridge while it's mates are waiting in the mini parked outside.
Intrepid
That was my thought too martbmth, they sound very familiar after reading some of his carp.I've seen it across some of the chat.
Just keep repeating the same old drivel.
On the bright side... this will be killing off all the shorts.
hope you a right rolo
That’s why SFOR is my biggest holding.
Knew of him from early WPP days (worked for the broker of WPP when it was ‘Wire Plastic Products’ and made supermarket hand baskets. Been a fan most of the way.
Sir Martin is very astute and has strong vision. And he has very good lieutenants who are following BIDS. But he also knows how to do a deal, so expect no favours there if you ever negotiate with him. Personally I think the digital "eco-system" he is building makes more sense for the likes of BIDS. His purchase of Mighty Hive made the direction he is taking SFOR very clear:
"MediaMonks' award-winning digital creative production and MightyHive's market-leading programmatic offering will give S4 Capital's clients end-to-end, fully integrated and seamless capabilities in purely digital marketing".
S4 mentioned on here previously as they are a pure digital play and martine sorrels new mob.
Let’s not give intrepid a credit for that.
He has barely had a good word to say about bids since he first posted
Helx - Well TW wasn't spot on with his "tip of the year" 2020 - Big Sofa Technologies. So he is fallible -like us all. BST was another digital marketing play. But at least he had the grace to admit he got it badly wrong . As far as BIDS is concerned, I've always felt the emerging "digital" agency groups would be better placed to develop the sort of content that will thrive through programmatic in-game advertising. They have more progressive, innovative capabilities and mindset. They also move faster in the market. The big groups are falling behind fast. So whoever mentioned SFOR as a possible partner may have written a prescient post. Time will tell.
Very logical and well reasoned postings Intrepid
I agree with all of that intrepid. I too have a bee in my beanie hat about Draper's lies...and actions. Turns out Tom Winnifrith was spot on correct with his fortune telling, no wonder Draper didn't want to address the matter, it speaks volumes about our CEO and i hope he is replaced over his behaviour. Funding is a massive concern here.
Hi Intrepid, that is fair enough. Just curious as to why you were advocating that people don’t invest when you have gone long on Bidstack and continue to hold when now sitting on about a 50% profit.
We have different opinions about the content of the last RNS. Personally, I read it as their COVID statement with a few bits of price sensitive information. Has your email not been recently flooded with similar updates from almost every company you have ever dealt with? However, I can also see your point. There is no concrete information about who and how much.
But one thing we have been given is a very specific date. With this my first instinct would have been exactly the same as yours. The release is timed with the new ISA allowance and may in fact get investors involved. Although the timing could be fortunate for Bidstack and their share price I believe that it is actually fairly coincidental. This is a fairly new thing that is being introduced to the gamers and when the beta goes live on the 7th the information will likely leak and gameplay footage will likely appear revealing details of the ads and indeed the global entertainment brand. So Bidstack may simply have to announce on the 6th.
Yes, it could all be smoke and mirrors, but I think you will be pleasantly surprised by this one. Good luck to you as well Intrepid, I know you have been in and out of Bidstack various times and it would be nice for you to have timed it well on this occasion.
