pokerchip i agree with your assumption that bids is certainly worth more than 6 mill although non profit making companies at early stage are hard to value 2 to3 times revenue plus how much would it cost you to set up bids from scratch to where it is now would be fair, we can see that broker advice is now 4mill down from 9mill how much is that down to covid ,what has changed etc, ,going forward we some answers to these questions ,there will always be doubts over a ceo who over promises and under delivers .
20x30p seems more likely than that.
The CEO needs to come out with a statement to calm the market.
helx
your posts are very emotional...I am not so interested in the emotional side of it all...
I wish you good fortune
Come on Mr invest!.....who on earth would be crazy enough to buy these currently...or ever now actually.
Share price is not changed from yesterday's close (2.9-3.0).
It's just there was UT trade at 3.27 yesterday making it look like a drop today.
In fact it's almost all buys being printed so far today. All the 2.94 trades are buys.
The slide into oblivion opened down 11.31%
2p by the end of the week
Jimmy,
What makes you thinks Frameplay and Adverty are ahead technically? Not what I've heard.
Poker Chips, having followed this one closely, I am talking in the here and now.
Whave exactly have they created?
They had ads in FM 3 years ago. Ads in Codemasters 2 years ago. No evidence of any ads in Open World. No evidence of any tech in secondary viewer platforms.
Frameplay are streets ahead technically. So are Adverty.
It has nothing to do with the past and everything to do with what value bids holds in the here and now.
No evidence they hold in. And if there is evidence, tell me where I can see it. I’m all ears
That's incredibly kind of you to think of me...but I'm going to hang around and see these to the end.
Helx,
Maybe it is time to move on and look for new adventures to put your mimd to...if you feel as such about BIDS ?
I wouldn't advise anyone to buy into these.....even at a penny a share. I'm afraid Draper has done such a hatchet job in the past 18months, he's made himself uninvestable imho.
Helx,
There will always be "new" investors who believe the next stage will be different....whether it is here or any other AIM..whilst you can be pessimistic...others will be optimistic......human nature.....suprising what people will buy when the price is reduced....we all know that
There wasn't much of a forward strategy last time Draper passed around the begging bowl was there ....so why will it be any different this time round? Who's going to believe he'll deliver anything at all.
Wavecrest,
1. There is not a chance in hell anyone could create what BIDS has with just £6m..not a chance ....
2. The advertising within the games sector is still in its early stages (2nd generation )...there is a long way to go and plenty of growth can be achieved...imo
3. Losses at this stage are expected ....at this stage it is more about building relationships and developing what clients want and being aware of how the market is moving....each of those relationships will grow and more will come ongoing.....but it isnt something that happens overnight...and a pandemic doesnt exactly speed things along..it is a sector still very much in development
4. The market is expecting a placing ..and...I would expect...that if one comes....then along with that...will come a forward strategy....they recently took on a senior advisor..and her views will no doubt assist with that.....you cant raise funds without giving full detail of what you expect to then spend it on .....I suspect a full strategy review has been going on behind the scenes..heads down with a lot of work having to be done...
5. Overheads have been too high...agreed...any review strategy and placing will see a definite focus on that....and current spend I suspect is as minimal as possible ...
6. If and when a placing comes....then things will change ...instead of being a spec ulative growth company...they are likely to be told .." OK, now show us what you can do " and they will have to deliver ...IMO
Thank you poker for your balanced thoughts at last some sense without the other stuff and i await the placing before deciding whether it is worth a small investment ,what was concerning going forward looking at the accounts was the small margins the large overheads and the revenue needed to be generated to get anywhere near a profitable company any thoughts going forward?
" £6m is simply too high with the current financials "
OK ..you could talk of the likelihood of administration ...but...I personally dont see a situation where there will not be further placings ....and...if the company were sold I would be suprised if it went for as little as £6m , even if further investment is needed from any buyer
Jimmy_Stocks,
I am not actually worried about "sentiment" right now....I would be looking at "sentiment" in 6 months time and more likely to judge on that...
" Zero technical progress in 2 years " ....there has been progress but how much and whether it can be described as sufficient is for each person to have their view....as a non previous investor I can opinion without having to measure against a previous share price or cash burn level....so I am likely to think it better than holders or sellers with losses who would naturally be more critical
" with a bloated headcount " ....yes....the pandemic hit at a bad moment for games producers and the likes of BIDS ....and created a set back ...for sure....but...that I believe will create the opposite going forwards....as the backlog of games will catch up and the sector will bounce back ....in my view......
I am not so concerned about the past...i look purely at the future...but fully appreciate the views current holders and sellers might have at present
£6m is simply too high with the current financials ...it really is that simple...unfortunately.
Poker Chips what you’re saying is no doubt correct Re AIM.
There is a much bigger problem here however. Zero technical progress in 2 years, with a bloated headcount and sentiment at zero because the CEO has misled at every time.
1.5p if they’re lucky. Is there £6-7M value in what bids have built so far? Read through the RNS’s. Not for me.
The sell off today, a similar thing happend last year when the roadshow didn’t go well either
helx
I am sorry if you have suffered losses as a result of previous projected expectations..I wish you well....
I am aware that the financials are "dire" ....I guess that is why there is talk of a further placing... but..with a £13m MCAP ..it would take anyone an awful lot more money that that to start from scratch, in this game,... and get even this far
I am with you totally in terms of the "razzamatazz" that often gets put in company RNS and I will try and read between the lines and get a fuller picture of the state of play...
but..as I have hinted ..CEO'S in AIM tiddlers cannot afford to cut off the hands that feeds them.....and as such.....tend to have a tendency to keep the City guys in their pockets ...in case of their further need.......until a point comes when they can stand alone and survive without their greedy profiting assistance .... a bit like a singer that has to sell their soul to a record company in the early days !!
I fully understand and appreciate that Mr Chips...but the financials are dire and are we expected to believe Draper's H2 predictions? Because, forgive me for saying, but I for one don't believe much of what he says...and that's going purely on expensive experience. I don't think I'm the minority either.
helx
for me personally...as someone looking at the future the only thing I am interested in looking at is the balance sheet and the future sector expectations.....what has happened in the past doesn't concern me so much....it looks very much like the usual with regards to AIM tiddlers
The ADMIN costs are too high ..but the sector should bounce back in H2 and be stronger by Christmas and into 2022 ... problem with AIM is the fact that you have to have a certain sized BOD and you have to provide all the updates and reports and NEDS etc which is costly ..which ever AIM company you are....being on AIM is not cheap..which is why many tiddlers stay on the AQUIS market until they have stronger revenues to support the costs of AIM admission
I would think just looking how this has sunk as well as the financial results....that should tell you things aren't going well. Draper is probably still on one of Virgin's intergalactic tours....looking for investors to prop it all up again.
