good tick up today , good luck lth.
The trading update says BEZ is still on target for a loss ratio in the mid 90s despite the catastrophe claims in Q3. GWP will be well over £4bn for the year, so FY21 profits should be over £250m. This is still underpriced.
IDA hit but this was expected after LRE results. Strong growth and premiums, good enough to add today.

Agreed. If so, I'm hoping for 475-500 by Christmas. Ambitious, I know, but very possible.
BEZ should have the premium increases sticking and little re IDA compared to LRE so I expect the results will be stellar as bad news re IDA would have been heavily flagged already.
Worth noting that Hiscox have their interims on the 3rd Nov and Lancashire Holdings on the 4th.
I suspect that HSX will have done well. We know from their recent RNS that LHE's results will be affected by large cat losses and losses in South Africa.
...5th November. Statement. Suspect the figures will look rather good. Very hopeful that dividend reinstated. Nice run back up to 430, maybe beyond, is realistic.
I also think the results will be pretty good. They should show that BEZ are on target for an annual profit of around £250m to £280m, which by my reckoning makes the current p/e just 9.
I wouldn't worry about the hurricanes, rates are going up on virtually all classes. AFB are now worth about the same as five years ago so must be a buy in my book. Seems to be drifting down though so I am set to go in at £3.50, or if not triggered the week before their next results as these will be good and we should see another bounce.
Price does look tempting again but I’d like some info on liabilities for the hurricanes before i re-buy? Anyone know anything?
Reloading at these levels, entry 1 2 3 4=10
Looks like LRE is also down around similar level. HSX is down for the last 5 days. It looks like it is a specialty sector wide sell off.
Looks like someone thinks so.
Bez lost 43% of profits in 2017/18 due to hurricanes in Usa. Will this weeks hurricane destruction in NE usa have an impact?
I’d take that With a pinch of salt nick, there are several other brokers covering who are bullish. They all have their own agendas imo.
That said ive sold out at £4.10 as i was in at £3.95 and sat on a quid a share profit and could see it was starting to stall and was due a small pull back.. I may re-enter if it dips further.
Any thoughts on this?

Motoring ahead now and upgrades galore. all good news in the sector and possible capital returns via specials. Strong premium increases are here to stay for the forseeable.

Third crack at holding 400p today after a week of consolidation. Onto 430 then its 550p.
Through 400p relatively easy - hopefully hold and push on now.
Through the 400p mark... let's see if we can stay above it at the end of the week. Its only a few weeks ago we were saying that about 340p!
