xeno 79 thank you for a first class post ,good luck
Thanks for the insight Xeno. Sounds very upbeat both for Sweden and for us.
Everything you have written is completly wrong.
The socialst party goverment is now over. the vote is clear. 181 voted to shut down the goverment and 109 voted against it.
Now the prime minister stefan löven has 1 week to decide if he wants to resign himself and let an offical to declare a new primeminister or try to stay in power by invoking a new election that will be held 3 months from now.
Being a power hungry politican he will most surely try to win in the election this september.
This is a great day for all that care about sweden haveing a bright future because there is a big chance now that the blue party will become the dominant one and a lot more buisness friendly.
Aka our permits will be granted asap without delay.
i thought first it was only a political charade but the threath fro the communist became real and FINALLY we can kick out the clows and put in people with proper education and know how to rebuild our country. Hopefully the new prime minister will be ulf kristersson from the party moderaterna. He will be a fantastic leader.
If a PM who has lost a no confidence vote is allowed to form a caretaker government for 15 months, what does that say about the self serving, corrupt and dysfunctional swedish constitution? These pillocks have inbuilt protection against incompetence.
The no confudence vote means nothing.
I thought he'd survived a vote of no confidence before and headed up a caretaker government before the last election? How is it I think that...can anyone remember?
After losing the vote of no confidence Lofven has 1 week to whether to call a snap election or resign. As politicians seem to do anything to hold onto power for as long as possible he may well call for an election. At least he has achieve one thing-the first Swedish PM to lo lose a no confidence vote. I have been in property all my working life and the inevitable consequence of politicians trying to control the demand side (or overtaxing the supply side) is a halt on the supply side. It then becomes impossible to control the demand pressures. Maybe everyone can be encouraged to move from Stockholm to Jokkmokk!!
yes, he can officially do what he has been unofficially doing..............nothing......hahaha
If Lofven gets to lead the caretaker government he'll be in his dream job....no decisions necessary.
I think I read in the news that if there is a snap election, there will still be election September.
If he calls an election...I think there will still be another election is September 22.
There are too many Parties...they should have raised the bar a bit...otherwise you just get weak governments beholden to everybody.
Roller....This could very well delay the decision because a Caretaker Government will not make decisions that are not emergencies...though Jokkmokk might regard it as an emergency. But "everything will have to be resubmitted" isn't true, it's already submitted and it remains submitted, it's a matter for the law not politics.
That's definitely the good news...the MP are polling only 3.5% so they'd be out... that would be a big hurrah!
Andy, the Swedes are saying this will or could delay our decision by possibly years as EVERYTHING will need resubmitting and looking at.. what's your thoughts please..
Yes I sort of figured that caretaker govt would probably mean no decision....
Morning Wots...Right definitely and I regret having to admit that cos I incline just a little to the Left myself. However, it's not so good if we have a caretaker government, we've already had one of those and it could be that no decision will be made until after the next election and we've already been there as well.
Every solution without the Green Party is a winner for us.
I guess that good or bad depends on who comes in. What do you think Suzy, which side is most to our favour, left or right.

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Sweden's parliament voted to oust Prime Minister Stefan Lofven in a no-confidence motion on Monday, giving the Social Democrat leader a week to either resign and hand the speaker the job of finding a new government, or call a snap election.
The nationalist Sweden Democrats had seized the chance to call the vote last week after the formerly communist Left Party withdrew its support for centre-left government over a plan to ease rent controls for new-build apartments.
Lofven's shaky minority coalition with the Green Party has relied on support in parliament from two small centre-right parties and the Left Party since a tight election in 2018.
With parliament deadlocked, it is not clear to whom the speaker could turn to form a new administration, while opinion polls suggest the centre-left and centre-right blocs are evenly balanced, meaning an snap election might not bring clarity.
A new government - or a caretaker regime - would only sit until a general election scheduled for September next year. It is the first time a Swedish prime minister has ever been ousted by a no-confidence motion put forward by the opposition.
PM ousted - ha ha ha ha ha
Baylan has already lost his own no confidence vote when the KU report was published 7 months ago and it had no impact.
This no confidence vote has no direct connection to Kallak so will also have no impact.
I think its a lot of noise that will distract from the mining decision. But lets see.
I'm not sure what affect this will have with Beowulf's concession..
