That would be awesome SJ. I had a quick look earlier today and saw all the stock exchanges were up in green. Hope it all continues, to nudge us up further.
Ok Tops. You could be right with that matey.
.......seeks written assurances....
TFE, yes I see. Thanks for clariying why you said it. If it a 50/50 call though, then law still surely won't have been taken into account. Of course, in view of our treatment to date by the authorities, we are left wondering what may happen with the decision, even though on merit we know what should really happen. Not good that, but I'm trusting Kurt is poised, whatever the Government announcement. I doubt he'll be able to prevent a leak of the result though, unless he perhaps written assurances from K-P T. Only my thoughts. I must admit that I am very concerned about how BEM finds out about the decision, as it has been seen prior that we've found out later than others, without time then to put out an RNS. Anyway, I trust Kurt will press for fairness from K-P. Easy really if K-P tells nobody at all. Lol.
S.
Times running out but good luck whenever you decide.
I'm not going to have a guess at where the share price might go to, although it's fun to see the various estimates on the BB. What's worth keeping in mind is that BEM has largely been a PI punt share up until now. As things progress (whenever that might be) different types of investor will be attracted. PI's with deep pockets looking for a dividend yield, Institutional Investors with VC style approaches and so on. That increased interest in BEM will push up the price. As the value gets higher and the market cap increases, so more II's will get interested. If the market cap ever gets to £1bn all kinds of funds will be attracted (whose rules don't allow investment in small caps). And so on. Part of BEMs mission is not just to open a mine in Kallak, it's also to show that it's a company with a long term plan, solid assets (eg Finland) and a multi year revenue stream. Kallak can provide the launchpad for that.
Eric I'm expecting news late Feb
I think it's already decided tbh.
FarEnd...I might have a go tomorrow, just to see if I can do it...instead of doing one of those bed and breakfast things, I could just sell them and buy them back myself in my ISA. I
Of course the SP will rise if the concession is granted. However, I’m sure that a lot of people will be trying to sell. At the new full price a buyer will need a new reason beyond just the concession (which would by then baked in). Nothing Kurt can do immediately afterwards apart from give some positive words. I would be surprised if doesn’t tap shareholders for some money within a few months / weeks, as they are going to need it.
So unless big investors take a position quickly after the concession, I’m not sure how much dramatic the jump will be from the pre-decision price and how well it would be sustained. They don’t get the concession and single digits within the day.
So news of a big investor is the real hope in my opinion. Talk of developing the mine further (the much required seismic model from drilling etc) is nice but won’t necessarily be enough to push the SP further.
Good point profit, you'd like to think there is something waiting in the shadows ready for if/when we get the concession. There is years of pent up bullishness in this share waiting for the concession and what happens after that it's very difficult to put a sp on us.
I think the sustainability of the spike on news day and the following days will be dependent on the statement given by Kurt Budge. It’s been so long coming he should have plenty of bases covered. I fully expect a 100% rise even if we are at 20p
On the bullish side, I think we are in a bullish wind aswell as a big announcement on the way. The industrial metals sector for which BEM is a part of is at its highest since 2011. We are in a bull market, the majors (miners) have been rising for years, yet the small caps are usually late to the party. As things stand we are in a bull market there aren't many better conditions in the market at present for us to have a good news announcement. If this bull market remains whose to say we won't stay in a longterm upward trend and end up at a daft price. Of course we could go back to the pennies but I'm bullish. All imo of course.
Eric, Suzy told this BB not long ago that her average was around 6p, hence my comment.
I used to have many more shares than I do now, but over the years have now got a reduced holding that doesn't owe me.
However I have still been unloading a few on the way up and still trying to trade this upturn, a bit of sport really.
I say trying, because right now, you can't always get the trade you want.
Had no trouble selling but some difficulty buying.
As for the decision not being a positive one, despite all the positive rhetoric it's still a 50/50 bet in my eyes.
Like everyone in here, I remain confident.
Yeah it's definitely been priced in, we don't go from 5p to 17p without the concession being priced to some extent. I still think there will be a spike though as its not fully certain and it doesn't feel it to me and there are investors who won't buy in until this political uncertainty is over. Anyone's guess where this goes and ends up though, as has been mentioned the market is that tight we could end up anywhere.
and that's what concerns me sj.
Back in December I thought 20-25p was fair for the concession and was happy to exit at that point.
I believe that the concession is now so nailed - on (or apparently so), that a large percentage of those who would usually buy in on a yes have already bought in.. it's factored in to some degree for sure.
I think I will defo to slice at the minimum if we hit 20 mark soon.
And there's me thinking prior to this rise we will spike to 20ish on the concession. We are already nearly there lol.
