covid, let's be honest, was an absolute gift of an opportunity for investors.
Yes lots saw the value of their portfolio plummet and lost money as they all jumped out on the way down (which was what made all the stocks crash).
I'm sure many if not most recouped those losses grabbing a bargain or three on the way back up.
As always hindsight is such a great thing and although there were mega deals everywhere you looked it was so hard to judge the bottom...
Looking back I had (well, we all did) the chance to make a small fortune if i had the balls to execute my conviction. One biggie was the oil when it went negative. I actually bought a load on a leveraged cfd at around 750, but only sold at a small profit, fearing the bounce would not hold and the incoming lower low would over - expose me and my family financially at a time when it seemed the world was collapsing around us and i felt it more prudent to play it safe. Well obviously the lower low never happened and we all know where oil is now. I would have cleared my fairly substantial mortgage and had money spare, all in the space of 18 months or so!
oh well. Sure we all have stories similar to that.
Good post that Tops. Thanks for confirming your time spent with BEM. It's been no picnic for investors, for sure. I take your point about derampers, but really we've had such a rough time with the Swedish Government, until perhaps now, that I can fully understand why some of us have become cynical over time, negative. Unlike the widespread feelings of optimism that existed within us more frequently when this share was motoring in late 2010/early 2011. So Tops, I'm quietly confident we will do very well here with the Greens now gone from the Government and with the law supporting our case if it comes to that, but I'm curbing my enthusiasm until we get this concession. Then surely it'll be game on! Cheers Tops.
theroot of the problem is weasles with burner accounts coming on trying to disrupt!
Cherio rooty tooty
Omg, stay well clear folks! This guy is clearly an idiot!?
Oh really which guy????
PS he has subsequently moved to a MUCH bigger house all thanks to COVID ............ some got very lucky indeed
Geovanni SNG has been on and off my radar like many of the covid stocks.
Early in 2020 a client of mine was discussing with his investment pal NCYT the next week out the blue my brother called to say buy NCYT anyways a long story I DIDNT :( strangely i was mega busy in central London at the time right as London was starting to wake up to Covid being real!
Geez it was quite surreal normally M25 to Mayfair takes an age by car (i had to drive for reasons I wont elaborate) but during the first stay at home advice London was a ghost town you could drive from south M25 to Mayfair in 30 mins!
Anyway when I finally caught up with things I met the said client again and he had a brand new Aston Martin Superlegera and Porsche 911 turbo convertible. Plus a new 15k battery bike blah blah blah (all BS stuff imo)
But he is a likeable fun guy younger than me so he was buying all the toys.
He told me he had tip offs from investing buddies regards numerous Covid companies one of which was NCYT. He promptly asked if i followed his advice and bought some embarrassingly i said no. To cut a long story short he popped £100k in at 20p very early in Jan 2020!
Needless to say i made a small fortune!
Biggest mistake of my life was not stopping what I was doing and jumping on board!
Omg, stay well clear folks! This guy is clearly an idiot!
Topsharepicks. Put your £25k in Synairgen. Phase 3 clinical trial results of their inhaled inteferon beta 1a covid treatment will be announced any day. The results will be very good. Why else has the company advertised just yesterday multiple senior positions in USA when currently they have no staff there and only around 30 employees in total. Soon the whole world will know about this company. I have a big shareholding in Beowulf but my shareholding in Synairgen is 4 times larger. Enjoy the ride
ive been invested Eric on and off boy has it been a bumpy tedious ride fortunately loaded up recently. So making up lost ground.
TBH wished id put a lot more in a few weeks back. This is my point there are some on here reading their posts could be just as easilly read and deramping negativity.
I mean i stated very clearly 12p then 15p+ read my posts. There were a couple who rubbished those calls!!!
I could just as easilly argue they LOST investors money by being too negative and distracting.
ANYWAY recently has been extremely good for me in multiple stocks. To the point the first time in a long while AIM has done me well. So well im tempted to pop another £25k in here...........
Thanks for your comments Geo, but it seems you may have missed the point of my post to Tops. It's nice that know each other and think you have both got this investment sussed. Hats off to you.
Hi Tops. Have you been invested since 2008/09 then, or have you just been following BEM since then and invested later? It's good that you've engaged with Kurt and he is familiar with you. I've been invested since 2010 and Kurt knows me as well. That isn't relevant insofar as how you have been posting on here. Although we can, on paper, try and work out a potential value for Kal, we have not had a normal ride, too many other factors have also affeced the sp to date. Hence my post to you last night. It is too difficult, in my view anyway, to say what the sp "will" be. Cheers Tops.
'There may be inexperienced potential investors looking in and reading your posts, which could mislead them.'
Isn't that his intention? Isn't that how rampers operate?
well maybe not. Maybe he's authentic but merely naive...
We will never know, as a rampers' no 1 rule is never admit to being a ramper.
Good morning Suzy, hope you're well.
Well tis kinda my point plenty of if/buts and maybes to navigate, it could be the sami are placated by some nice rewards or they could start blocking roads etc. I'm optomistic but wary given Swedish inability to follow due process and the law. I'd be as happy as anyone else for this to hit some of the numbers being suggested and it defintatly could if all things went well but what those timescales are is anyones guess.
Thank you AIMS for those kind words.
Morning Geraint. I think leave to appeal has to be granted I don't think it's a given. And if the decision goes in our favour the Company could proceed with their plans if they wanted to despite the appeal. I read that, rather than made it up...it was in a Redeye analysis long ago.
I think you are correct re: the greeb light. Definition of greeb/grebe is apparently "any diving bird of the family Podicipedidae, related to the loons".
I certainly feel as if I'm related to the loons after being in this share for so long.
I think the greeb light is what we have had for the past 10 years
No ones disputing that but just throwing arbitary numbers out becuase i have a feeling in my water, isn't demonstrating that .
I sold out when there was yet another delay, however I bought back in after reading several sami statements which convinced me that they were at least convinced the mine will be given the go ahead. Nothing is guaranteed however, I'm not making predictions on the sp as I simply dont know, fair value is one thing, politics, demonstrations, media bias, plu the inevitable appeal etc are another. This could run into the 20's in the next week and then stall, who knows, its anyones guess and thats what it is, we've not even been given the greeb light.
.
"your old favorite is back"
Who's that Mr Angry?
Eating his words we hope.
Nice and friendly board this your old favorite is back .
Eric
if you spoke to Kurt and mentioned my name trust me he would confirm to you ive been following BEM since the sub 1p days way back in 2008/2009
You seem to mean well Eric, but I think you need to do some homework. You can find plenty of info on the internet about how to value mining companies. Tops has done his home work and so have I.
Eris is in the word fairest too. :-)
Night night Sooz. x
Aye Chops, we don't know how it'll go with the sp. Concession first, get down to business then, but surely we'll need additional good news immediately after, if upwards momentum is to be maintained. I'd be happy with a steady upwards trajectory overall, but only because I don't mind seeing what Kurt has in store for us, waiting in here for that. Night Chops.
