You too SJ.
Fair points Eric/chute. Have a good weekend :)
“There is nothing being released because we have been told study work is underway on Vaasa and kallak”
Vaasa is a factory to produce product for anodes etc and yes requires study etc
but who here knows how it will have any base materials to work on, I delved through the Finnish mining and besides a licence for exploration on attilampi there is nothing to suggest an application to mine ( can’t say for sure as it’s in Finnish so limited to Google translate :)). The last RNS of any worth was this time last year when a scoping study was supposed to be just about finished on attilampi but was delayed to include Vaasa since than nothing. I guess the frustration for us all is we know about the proposed anode factory etc but we have no idea what is happening with the mine. Is there more drilling to do? are we applying for a mining concession? and more importantly when will any of these things happen
Chute
Hasty, I believe that’s a fair point. It would have been good to have had operational updates on the drilling in Kosovo, for example. Kurt’s lacklustre communication methods are not generating much interest, considering we have a mining concession and things to shout about.
Only my view, and, as we know, the room is divided.
Have a decent weekend.
A specific update on Finland has not occurred since January, by that I mean detailed, solely about that supposedly bright project, not just general information about it lumped in with another RNS.
I know you agree with Suzy, I do, to a degree SJ, the point is, we shouldn’t be left wanting, wondering and hoping for long periods as to what might be happening.
Some of us are more accepting of the news situation than others. I think it’s that simple.
If you look at the 4th July Fundraising RNS you will find we had an update on kallak, Kosovo and Finland. Kallak scoping study underway, Kosovo drilling finished and awaiting assays and Finland study work underway for the anode materials plant in Vaasa and other little bits like an agreement between gtk and grafintec.
There is nothing being released because we have been told study work is underway on Vaasa and kallak. Nothing more to say until it's ready?? And Kosovo we should hear any day now.
I think the trouble is we are going through all the critical 'boring' stuff where there isn't news worthy of being released to the market but I agree with Suzy that when it comes it should be decent.
The way I see it Hasty and you know I don't like being contentious is that communication has got nothing to do with the sp at this moment... short on promises might be big on results...we hope. But if the results are bad, it wont help the sp, will it. Waiting is all we can do, for a reasonable time I mean and the scoping study will be finished by the end of the year. A blow by blow account of it would be useless.
I think the point is Suzy we, as shareholders, deserve better than we are getting In terms of communication, and it is partly why the sp is lower than it was 14/15 years ago. Kurt seems a decent chap but he is treating us like chumps by his complete inability to improve communication, follow up in a timely manner and realise the value by doing this effectively.
No news from Finland since January Suzy.
Hastyretreat...We haven't been waiting since January...it's been work in progress since January in Kosovo and the drilling results were due at the end of July so only 12 days ago...they may be back from the Lab they may not...and if we were to get an RNS to that effect, you'd be the first to say waste of money.
Eric - if Kurt has delusions of a diversified company then if there is news about Kosovo while he is away in Finland then Sven or someone else is paid enough to release the info surely. Mid August and more info about the company from scraping around the internet again than from the actual company. To be fair Eric, Suzy, JTG to Pocko et al., nothing since Jan from Finland is shambolic. Next month is Kurt's 8th year anniversary and the share price is lower than it was 14/15 years ago. Something has to change and if Kurt is incapable of upping his Comms then it is time for someone else to take over that responsibility and for him to just do mining stuff.
We’ve not had a proper update on Finland since January, and I just don’t think that’s good at all. Some shareholders don’t see no news as good news, only no news, and considering Kurt mentioned he would do better in terms of communicating what is going on to shareholders, he still hasn’t done so.
So we are without details, guessing, and of course hoping positively.
Hasty, to be fair, it’s unlikely Kurt will be putting out news while he is visiting Finland, although we soon should receive the drill results from Kosovo.
I too agree with what John said, but only to an extent Sooz. I’d rather be in the picture more as to what is going on with our projects, but that’s just my own preference.
The thing about something that is being developed is that it generally has something confidential about it, not to be disclosed until it's completed...which is why I agree with what John said the other day. When the development is at a ready stage, we'll hear about it.
Nothing from Finland or Kosovo. Shambolic.
It could all be good here Sooz, but we are starved of information.
Just been reading about this potential market, anode materials, it's very high tech and competitive but it doesn't seem that likely graphite will be replaced by silicon in the very near future. And there's intellectual property issues. So graphite is still going to be a strong product. But what do I know.
Thanks Chute. Sounds good, but up to Budgie to tell us more really.
An interesting read - thanks

Looking at up and running in 2025
I think this time last year Grafintec announced grant for £100k received and to be used on feasibility study etc, you would imagine that must be nearly ready by now ?
Also if want to be running by 2025 a mining concession would probably be needed soon to construct and start ops on that timescale.
