Some people pack a lot into their days - I do myself. There's an old saying that goes "if you want something done ask a busy man"...
Haha. What's a TV?! I've not had one for years! It is probably why I am such an uninformed person. ROFL ;)
Still rather be uninformed than misinformed. ;P
@MikeBWell,
Some of it is part of the campaign. There are a lot of people who own shares here that don't participate on anything online.
Just yesterday, somebody joined the campaign having first read this forum. Trolls need to be shown as trolls, in order to prevent some shareholders being misled.
As for time, if you get rid of the TV in the house, you'll be amazed at home much additional time life throws at you!
@MikeBWell
There are a significant proportion of us against this takeover, and doing what they can to stop it.
And dare I say it, but it looks as though we're able to stop then getting to 75%.
That's pretty much it!
*Bob not Bod!
Maybe Bob is PS! This tread just seems like a sh*t throwing tantrum due to the deal not going to the BoDs game plan. I don't believe Bod is invested here so unless they are a company troll, their accusations of unfair practice or dare I say fraud, seem frivolous.
I know some of their funds come from non-voting memberships. Maybe those include financial statements? I'm more interested in how much comes from corporate donors.

"Clutching at straws" means your baseless accusation (after the last one doubting I am a real person) that I have a PR background. I'm not the one trying to find clients for my day job, by waving a flag to the media.
Now if we only knew where ShareSoc gets its funds.
We raised £2,730 via Go Fund Me.
£2,631.76 was the total after Go Fund Me's Fees.
Another £50 came via cheque. Another £50 was bank transferred to me.
That takes us to £2,731.76.
From that total, we issued an RNS, and wrote to almost 10,000 shareholders.
If you want receipts, you're welcome to show your actual identity BorderBob, and I'll send them to you.
Out of that cost came:
Cost of RNS: £235 + VAT
Cost of printing, data sorting, and postage: £3,000+
I don't have time right now to grab all the individual invoices, but they're there.
We also had to pay an addition £150 odd to sort all the data, because it was sent to us in pdf formats without address lines spaced.
I'm sure you know from your PR background, each address line needs to be in a separate excel cell.
Information from one broker for instance, was sent with addresses on one page, and respective post codes on the corresponding page.
Go and get quote from any company for even 5,000 mailouts, and then tell me what figures you come back with.
You're clutching at straws now BorderBob, and even those who just browse this forum can probably see you're running out of tricks.
Next.
@ Matthew125 Well, if you can't answer my question about nonprofit and private fundraising transparency, you might as well filter me. You seem like an uninformed person for my purposes.
Bob, I'm going to have to filter you again. You seem like a nasty person (are you PS?). There is nothing wrong with shareholders holding out for a better deal.
Bob, you are twisting words yet again - if you re-read my post, it says 500+ (the clue is in the symbol to the right of the number)
@ trikidiki3 It’s a day to be spent with family. Something many of the malcontents here might be lacking, as an explanation of their behaviour.
@ thefrogster So the membership is only 500, in the Sonora Mining Angry Losers League? Seldom does so much recruiting result in so few followers.
Can't for the life of me think why it being a national holiday would stop someone thinking of a rebuttal or even entering such on a forum, unless of course it is normally a paid activity and they were indeed taking said holiday.
I can't personally attack you BorderBob...
Because there's no way to verify you're even a person?
Bob, I don't see the relevance of your line of questioning to this board. If 500+ investors are happy to pool funds to assist with a campaign to try and get shareholders a better deal then so be it. This board is for the purposes of discussing BCN and not the validity or integrity of the funding of a group that doesn't concern you. Move on.
@ skysthelimit “You do seem to have some hate for the idea that a group of shareholders are trying to get some value. Why is that?”
A month ago Dee was accusing me of working for BCN’s PR agency. Now he has backed off, as much of an apology as I can expect, and just suggests I apply for a job there.
His work is supported by ShareSoc, so its endorsement of his personal insults has aroused my curiosity. I really am interested in how much transparency exists for nonprofits around the world. How does anyone know that corporate money does not determine the direction they take their campaigns? The transparency seems to equal the level provided to royal wills.
@ Dee12345 “You had all of yesterday to come up with your rebuttal.”
Since you live in a very narrow world, I understand your ignorance of yesterday being a national holiday. We have a saying here, though, about people who "shoot from the hip." You took less than an hour to evade my questions.
I prefer the efficiency inherent in the way Dee has done it, yes it relies on some trust, but it's without all that red tape and extra snouts in the trough that you are on about.
You do seem to have some hate for the idea that a group of shareholders are trying to get some value. Why is that? Do you think that the 'market is always right' and no underhand dealings ever happen when regulation is in place?
Oooh, low blow.
Nothing to say, so you insinuate Think BIG are attempting some sort of fraud.
You had all of yesterday to come up with your rebuttal.
This is the best you can do? You should get a job with BCN/their PR agency - They seem to enjoy mediocrity!
Try harder.
Suppose I want to start a nonprofit called Bad Investment Grievances. If I do it here in the States, I have to publish my annual financial statement for public inspection, much like publicly-traded corporations must account for income and expenses. If I do it in the UK, which will give tax benefits to my donors, is there any requirement that I show where the money is spent? (In the US, it's all available online.) If someone wonders how much I am paying myself to publicize my thoughts, is it any of their business? What if I collect money and tell people it's being used for mailing a letter to other shareholders in some enterprise with dubious expectations and Asiatic alliances -- should I keep receipts? Will I have to show them to anyone?
