In other words, I rather agree with your most recent post, jupiter31, which crossed with mine.
I am thinking of taking a position with this share, but my past experience in investing in recent IPOs has not been kind. Sometimes companies need time to 'bed down' post-IPO and generate some historical data as a public company. The other worry for me, in contrast to xtw2's view, is I am actually spooked by the shorters. I'm not sure my own 'intensive research' would match up to the analytical power of these hedge funds... besides, even if one did back one's own research & views over theirs, the old adage that the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent comes to mind... esp with so many shorters around exerting an element of control over the share price.
xtw2....totally understand your frustrations around baseless negative posts however I don't believe such posts on a BB could influence the direction of a SP, in the same way that I don't believe unsubstantiated positive posting could either.
I am still interested in AWE and its potential, however I won't be going near it until:
a) there's is a significant reduction in the short positions against the stock (Tiger Global has now joined the list of shorters on 25th Oct) total shorts now stand at 3.88%....shoot me if you like but its my opinion while shorters are increasing positions the SP will only go one way regardless of what anyone might post on a BB somewhere.
b) more transparency on the bookings and confirmation of growth trajectory particularly from non CPP sources.
Just explaining my point of view....nothing else intended.
Barcap, what is the point of your post, as follows?
Price action tells all. 170p the old low is now on the horizon. Just my view, so don't shoot me down. Balance of views on this BB is useful, especially for newbies. The Tea Lady is looking smug and her tea is first rate.
Is it an 'I told you so' post? Does it provide anything useful? Newbies deffo do NOT need your kind! You're a charlatan and a despicable toerag! B*gger off!
jupiter31, yours of Tue 17:46, they don't know anything more than we do! They're Shorters aka scum-of-the-earth simply taking advantage of genuine long-term Shareholders for a fast buck by exploiting a bad news yet spurious News Article, which has spooked and cast doubt in the minds of Shareholders like yourself.
Sure you should be 100% continuously reviewing and validating your investments (and your original rationale for them). Of course. But that's very different to a) listening to/heeding Negative and ridiculous comments so obviously posted by idiotic Trolls & Derampers like Barcap and b) getting spooked by Shorters where, following your own intensive Research, there is obviously nothing adverse or sufficiently worrying about the company to warrant such significant falls in the SP.
A very good case in point is NETW (Network International) when Shorters systematically drove the SP down from 460p to as low as 178.10p on the 21st September 2020, when the company issued an RNS stating it knew no valid reason why the SP had fallen, after which it shot up and eventually regained its prior heights.
Koolhead, yours of Tue 17:25, you've absolutely hit the nail on the head - totally agree!
I'll say it again - I'm in AWE of AWE, especially at these silly Prices!
jupiter31, that's not what I'm saying at all. I think both Positive & Negative views are welcome but not equally so. I often have a Negative view about a Stock, but I rarely post about it unless I'm in the Stock, I just steer clear of it or Sell up. You have to ask the Question: why is someone constantly, continuously and deliberately posting Negative views about a Stock that they're 99.9% certain not in themselves??? Because they're a stupid Troll and a Deramper like Barcap. Thus meaning that they're either trying to drive the SP down so they can buy it on the cheap themselves or more likely they're a (despicable) Shorter similarly trying to drive the Price down.
In addition, ask yourself this: why hasn't Barcap provided any proper factual evidence that AWE is a toxic Stock? Why hasn't he provided any weblinks? Surely his post of Tue 14:58 says it all!?
So, in summary, I read Positive views or Informational posts with interest. I read Negative views with suspicion unless they're accompanied by hard facts and corresponding evidence in the form of proper bona fide weblinks e.g. a Broker View or a Newspaper Article.
Surely everybody can see that Barcap is a complete idiot as well as a Troll & Deramper!
Look at his idiotic post below where he states:
On 7th Oct I posted my source.
".....The Tea Lady told me the Grim Reaper is approaching..."
The Tea Lady is always right and mixes in informed circles.
I did try and warn people.
Good Luck
Barcap
Need I say more? Block him. Filter him out. He's provided no evidence or links whatsoever to back up his wild, outlandish and frankly ridiculous claims!
Barcap, of course you're free to state your opinions on here as long as your not deliberately spouting garbage like you are and are not deliberately doing so to drive down the SP. You're so obviously a Deramper & a Troll. You quote stuff without backing anything up with facts and weblinks. In which case, b*gger off!
Price action tells all.

Koolhead, yes that may well be the case longer term....my point was really that differing opinions/information is often invaluable as it allows you to take a step back and pause for thought and consider other factors that may (or may not) influence the original investment decision.
Whether the shorters are exploiting the opaqueness/validity o revenues and contracts is not in question but the fact they are there (and increasing) gave me pause for thought as no doubt they will be looking to close out at a significantly lower price.....so what do they know?
The short sellers have exploited the rather opaque nature of the companies dealings in China to create a climate of fear around this stock, at least in the short term. But if you look through that I see no reason to believe the company is making up fictitious revenue streams, etc. Ultimately what I look at are: the field a company is operating in, its growth record, and it's future prospects. On all these counts AWE ranks as No.1 of the 40 or so companies I'm invested in. Sure, the SP might fall further but whether it's at 1.80, 2.20, or 2.60 this is an amazing buying opportunity provided you can hold you're nerve.
Jupiter31
Spot on mate.
Why would you only want to see opinions that only give you a polarised point of view? That's what social media is for so you can fall down the self reinforcing rabbit hole of opinion. Surely differing views and information good or bad are important in order to form your our own opinions and make informed decisions, so no one should be vilified for their point of view.
IMO I would be more worried about the increasing short positions at the moment (now at an all time high over 3%) as these hedge funds have a nasty habit of successfully driving down a stock price and booking a profit. I got out a few weeks ago because after a small amount of short positions were closed this did not follow through, and actually some have now increased their positions all of which would make me very nervous as an investor.

I'm free to state my opinions on this BB just like you are.
I'm not a deramper but just expressing my considered judgement.
Good luck anyway.
Any Trolls & Derampers on here or on any Stock who are not prepared to clearly state facts and provide links to same should be ignored and/or filtered out!
Barcap is clearly one. Any others posting here will also be named & shamed.
