Nice rise today - nearly at my average lol!
This is a good company - when the oil price starts to improve so should its returns
3 to 1 and the price falls
Plus someones just chucked in £385,000 quid
Was 2% down now 1.4% up Bit of a shake - now where's Siemens??
FT says At least the gloomy set of first half results issued by the engineering software specialist came as no surprise. In September Aveva warned of delayed contracts and softening demand in South Korea and Brazil, saying its interim revenue would be in the range of £84m to £90m. On Monday it confirmed that sales fell 21 per cent to £85.9m for the six months to September 30. Pre-tax profit fell 48 per cent to £14.2m. The company, originally spun out of Cambridge University in the 1960s and a global supplier of software to the mining, oil and gas and paper and pulp industries, said it will slow the pace of hiring and reduce bonuses in a bid to save £10m over the next six months.

GS Siemens = clue to comments
No idea GS aren't the most credible broker - they had a £3.40 target on Blinkx all the time it was plummeting to below 50p
Why is the market taking GS comments so seriously when every other broker out there has a decent rating on the stock and says the worst is baked into the price?
Goldman expects their primary oil & gas market (50 % of group sales) - to experience a prolonged slowdown, and therefore downgraded. 4% drop today
I think this rise may be on the back of take over rumours....should have bought on Monday!
Probably Monday was the day to buy.
Credit suisse raised to outperform today
I think I said £15 was a bargain, but this was only based on a gut feeling, historic price and a little knowledge. Not holding now as got out from my previous venture here with only a small loss. Will watch for now, but at some stage I will want in again, at least to get some profit back out.
On 25 th Sept Blackrock sold a few shares and opened a CFD - was this a short - if it was it might explain the drip/drop. Can anyone confirm whether I read this right?
How Long - totally agree as the rediculous continuous price drop can't be obviously explained - need some good positive news from the company but nothing forthcoming. Still it is surely becoming a serious bargain?
how long do we have to wait before this sp turning round? and what are we waiting for?
I think there is a catch up now and falling FT is now not helping. £15 is looking a bargain, but there are other "bargains" around.
http://www.oilandgastechnology.net/downstream-news/tupras-using-aveva-data-software-boost-refinery-output Explains the rise in a falling market but why don't we get rns with info?
Ps - I was looking at those 2 x 70k sells when they came in I don't think they were sells... £2.156 million quid
No bad news for AVV - just market falling!
Big drop today....thought the bad news was over
Ameriprise Financial Inc with a holding of just under 3.5m share (5.44%).....very interesting development.
impressive insider buying these past few days...would be nice to see the AVV directors buying tab updated to reflect the Rns's.
