Fair enough but feels like the new CFO has done that Alex at with the write down advised in the half year results. Seems like a sensible and conservative approach taken.

What they won't tell you in new CEO could well write down value of company for a clean slate to start with.... I did say COULD though its a gamble
I contacted Investor relations who advised full year results are scheduled for 22 November. They also reminded that ‘…..performance for the year on an excluding armor basis is predicted to be at least in line with market expectations…’
correction CEO...not COO
I wonder if there is any significance in the appointment of COO from Ultra.....is he joining to oversee a potential suitor for Avon making an approach?
All guesswork not based on any facts and certainly not a recommendation of any kind....
I notice there was a 30 Sep year-end trading update issued on 13th Oct last year. Does anyone know if we’re due the same tomorrow? Thanks!
Definitely the share that keeps giving.
Giving in or giving back to investors?
I am profit taking. Dirty word.
This is a stock that keeps giving imop.
Masteroogway. Wish I had bought at 7.50.
The markets are deadly at the moment.
Regards
Looks like this could be a good stock to trade.
Buy
I used the dividend paid 2nd September to buy more at 755, overall i'm still in the red but only just.
Well done anyone that bought @ 8.50.
Surely this must be on some PE radars even moreso now with a lower £?
That USA Army helmet contract signed in February was worth about 50% of the current MCAP.
Possibly - the current economic debacle will hold it back to an extent. It's a well positioned company with a bright outlook. The new ceo, when announced, will confirm a decisive business strategy going forward.
Will the SP go ballistic again? (Pun intended)
Broadly speaking, I think its been a target for sometime and when the SP fell to 7.30 ish I thought that's it. Avons business and their products are well positioned for a 'financially bright' future (IMO) and (in the meantime) the new ceo, when announced, will steady the strategy and future plans
Possibly - but perhaps just looking for a holding for one or more of their funds. If the exchange rate to the dollar keeps falling, it must be tempting for firms there to run the slide ruler over UK firms.
From todays RNS it seems that Alantra EQMC Asset Management SGIIC, S.A. have pretty much doubled their holding in Avon.
Is this a vote of confidence in the company or do they see a takeover coming?
Any thoughts?
Lots of little buys and lots sells
Is this battle of the bots ?
Does this behaviour keep the sp price suppressed ?
I think the new CEO is due to be in position by the end of the month. This will be another boost for an undervalued stock
B0ll0x, got all excited there for a bit
You weren't far off, £9.82. But 32% in a day..
This is a recovery play now. Wonder when the new Ceo will be announced.
If Its any consolation I was close to selling myself with the lack of news but this is hopefully a game changer and things start improving from here on in!! Sorry about your loss its not a easy game this investing!!
