"Yes I agree with what you are saying, ie both ODX and AVCT are or can play a significant part in the Testing, Track, and Trace Strategy without a doubt."
.....and both will do significantly well!... actually Avact already did and there will be definitely more to come!
"Watch this, 'Boris Johnson | Commons Liaison Committee' from about 43:00,...... "when he talks about Pregnancy style tests"
Hahaaa, Bojo a 'Big Mouth' style......
...So appears to me that he gave a big clue here???
Question is?
Who he was talking about?
;o)
Albi,
Yes I agree with what you are saying, ie both ODX and AVCT are or can play a significant part in the Testing, Track, and Trace Strategy without a doubt.
But for now there is a great need, most particulary for those vulnerable members of society ie, care homes (AVCT instant testing) and for employers/immunity passports (Antibody/ODX) that will provide both companys a great opportunity since this threat will not be completely removed even though numbers for new infections in the UK for now are significantly reduced.
We all face a very real threat of a second wave.
Make a mint.... Make a killing more like! This is perhaps the best share to purchase right now! The dips we are seeing this week are an opportunity to buy! Im all in at 20000 shares... Role on 20 quid plus april 2021
Thanks Jiffy, either way you'll make a mint if you stick with Avacta, of the two I actually wish I'd put more in Avacta simply based on potential growth. This is a definite hold no matter how many times it gets 'shaken' on the way up. ODX - also a lot of potential re. RTC antibody test, also lateral flow, and I may be completely wrong, but I think this was the one he was referring to - i.e. ODX is part of the RTC - Government backed testing consortium ...
Albi,
Watch this, 'Boris Johnson | Commons Liaison Committee' from about 43:00, this all about testing for positive cases and Care Homes etc and the issues surrounding results time, hence when he talks about Pregnancy style tests it is this , ie LFD test , ie same as the Avacta test etc that I was trying to highlight and it is this I believe he was on about.

Perfectly correct Albi.
See you all at 7am... hopefully we’ll have an antigen LFT to discuss instead of all this rollocks
Jiffy, what's your point? We all understand antibody v antigen. Roche/Abbot lab test not designed to be done at home, ODX test is and awaiting imminent design freeze RNS - this is the one that is 'like a pregnancy test'. I tried ... and will leave it there.
In4pin4/muir/Albi
Yes an ANTIBODY test (Have you had CV19?) is not an ANTIGEN TEST, Do you have CV19? ie the Avacta Lateral Flow Saliva Test
Yes your Yahoo link covers Antibody but is NOT the same as a quick Antigen/Pregnancy type test.
'Governments are hoping that antibody tests could pave the way for a gradual reopening of their economies, since they can confirm that an already infected person has recovered from the virus.
Roche's ANTIBODY test requires being sent to Lab, different test, different kettle of fish.
Listen to Boris and look up the initial Liasion meeting , a Pregnancy Type test is carried out in minutes, this I reckon was what he was on about in answer to Jeremy Hunts question as to why test results were taking so long because of having to sent to Labs etc.
Watch Boris or better still find the actual meeting maybe on Parliament site

Just in case you struggle with google.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/26/coronavirus-uk-government-assessing-antibody-test-kits
Can we stop this now?
Seriously? Again? The Roche test is not an LFD test, it is processed in a lab. Boris referred to a pregnancy style test i.e. a LFD test. He couldn’t possibly have meant Avacta as that’s market sensitive information. What he can mention is the government’s Rapid Test Consortium test. That’s the ODX one. It’s not here yet and it’s an antibody test. Google it.
All of which is completely irrelevant to Avacta
Boris wasn't specific about the matrix or if it was a test that told you if you have or had COVID-19.
He mentioned pregnancy type testing, which this test is and we know the UK government have been in talks with them
Jiffybag
You're on the wrong track with your posts ... watch the Sky interview video I sent you in my post below - click on the link and scroll down to Bel's tweet and listen ...

What makes you so sure Boris wasn't referring to the Roche lateral flow (pregnancy type) test in the link I provided.
Genuinely interested as I have a significant holding in AVCT and want to be confident In my investment.
Jiffbag.. You are a bit random for me.. please stop mentioning my name ..
Muir/In4Pin4,
Provide me a link that shows Roche are developing a Lateral Flow/Pregnancy type test that will provide an answer on whether you have or do not have CV19.
Further, provide me a link that says an Antibody Test can be carried out using Saliva?
Hi Jiffybag,
Nice to see you hear, very good company! If you listen to this interview with Colin King, CEO of ODX, on their antibody tests, I think you'll find he interestingly describes them as 'like a pregnancy test' too. I suspect for this reason Boris was referring to the RTC test - i.e. ODX's antibody test. I'm in ODX, Avacta and GDR. All the best.

Nope.
This is the lateral flow COVID-19 test from Roche that the PM is probably talking about. This link is from 2 weeks ago.

Jiffy wtf are you on about. I was talking about the antibody test...10 million ordered a few weeks ago from Roche..I never once mentioned pregnancy type tests..I was out playing gold when that news hit.. which is in fact amazing! I was referring to the people who piled into ODX although they have no test...ok???
themuir,
Antibody Test - Have you had CV19 recovered and have antibodies in your blood?
Antigen Test- Do you currently have CV19
https://abcnews.go.com/Health/antigen-versus-antibody-testing-covid-19/story?id=70409446
themuir,
A Pregnancy type Lateral Flow test that the PM has just alluded to in the live Liasion Committe meeting today ,started at 4pm , has nothing to with an Antibody test that you are banging on about. The antibody test (Roche) requires Lab analysis and time etc.
The Avacta Lateral Flow test is purely to test if you are postive for CV19.
