Mikey I did And just sliced Still holding 3457 of shares ;-)
This one actually will probably have more to offer
Global bottleneck in testing.
This is potentially equal to the co who finds the vaccine - if indeed one can be found.
With Africa verging on the abyss, it could save a continent [or sub continent with India.
1. Presumably, revenues are split 50/50 with Cytiva. Anyone know for sure the split? Or is the Cytiva technology platform an inbuilt cost of business on which AVCT adds its own mark up?
2. Anyone know the gross revenue per rapid test of their previous Zika Affimer-based point of care rapid test strip?
onion guy, looks like we should've held ncyt haha
I never doubted NCYT, just sold out about 1600% too early. Lol.
Those who doubted ncyt....sng etc. ;)
It doesn't prove if you have had it and recovered. It proves if you have it or you don't. The advantage over other tests is that it will be available and usable in mass markets with results available in minutes not hours. It's still a strong buy for obvious reasons. No need to invent things.

Olderandwiser, haha....it’s nice to find any excuse to have a laugh as we are all ‘lockdowned’ behind our keyboards, lol....brings down the tension. Good luck with your holding, I’m sure we are into a big winner just on the test...will do much better than ncyt from 6p to 17p in January to 355p now.
I am excited about this too but it doesn't prove if you have had it. It proves if you do or you don't. The advantage over other tests is the speed and the easy application so we can all buy them and prove that we are negative if we want to move around freely. That's how we will end lockdown.
The Market is massive 7.5 billion, I would buy one if I could, and until we have a vaccine this is the only way forward "testing testing and more testing" Kenya has only had 6 deaths and less than 200 tested positive mainly foreign tourists and a idiot politician who came back from a conference in USA and contimated most of the ones I mention when he should have self isolated. They all have to wear face masks and are fined 5000 shillings for not wearing them and when you consider most only earn 20000 a month that is not good. Any persons that came back into the country have to go into 14 days quaratine at their own cost, international borders closed county borders are now closed a curfew is in force from from 4 in the afternoon till the following morning. Kenya is closed no planes in or out ! If only they had testing kits I had heard the Gov bought some from China and they do not work no surprise there ! The worlds major pharmas together with the minows will solve it ! Let us hope the NHS bureaucracy does not get in the way most have been promoted above the capabilities ! I should know I have all my offspring who a senior Doctors !
Love this response, "coronavirus will be over"...Yes the bulk of infected will have either died or recovered however the point of this testing kit is to prove whether you have had it or not. Incredibly valuable knowledge for when countries need to reopen borders. Pre-check in - Positive test/ Negative test - or even if you have it. Knowledge is a powerful tool.
Olderandwiser ,good to see you here ,hope every thing going well for you
LOL. Comek2, you're such a hoot, sitting behind your anonymous keyboard. Bravo for those few kind words of encouragement, but I do very well, thank you, with my small cap investing.
News on discussions with other potential partners could come quickly as all pharma companies need to be very fast moving. The volume of tests required is enormous and will require many companies to meet the demand. I invested in this more than a year ago because of the many prospective developments. Spend time if you haven't already, researching the company. I managed to buy more at 39p.
Another top at 39 - must admit didn't think I'd see this again. With a global Pharma backing us it's a gift imo. Gla in these trying times.
Olderandwiser, “end of May is a little late”, lol? Thank you for the implicit fantastic news that the coronavirus will be overcome by end of May. I’m sure the WHO, the world governments, the world businesses, the world airlines, the world stock markets would love to read your post. Why don’t float your post on the stock market, preferably the Nasdaq and make $billions for your ONE post effort? Yes there are always novels ideas about making money. You may be old, but certainly not wiser. Do you eat onions or garlic by any chance????
by end of May I expect much of the world will still be in varying degrees of significant lockdown ... rapid tests will be essential for moving out of lockdown and getting the machine moving again and will be required for a significant amount of time going forwards.
what i mean is, buy in before the RNS comes out.
There are tests available now but not ones that can be done in 10 mins via saliva. These could be bought by the public, companies, customs etc etc. Huge market and testing will be needed for months and years to come! Say if we have SARS-3 in a few years this would be the most in demand test for its ease of use
Isn't "by the end of May" for developing a rapid test, a bit on the late side? The world needs it NOW.
I... did?
Why don't you read and research before buying into a stock ? i really don't get the strategy of some of the rainbow chasers on here. Everyone will be jumping up and down at every pull back. Those who did their homework and seek value couldn't care less.
Just finished reading McNulty's report on Avacta and I'm very impressed. Ran this by some of my medic friends at university and they backed up that science, saying antibody mimetics are definitely the future in medicine.
This is something I'm very keen to buy and hold for a long while, it'll peak and dip with the shorter's attention, but this is a great oppertunity to get very cheap shares in a future market leader.
