Axe if it is that easy then set yourself up a company pop it on AIM and lets see if you can get people to invest in it. Before it goes on AIM you may have to put some of your own hard earned in to it and dedicate an enormous amount of your time and make sacrifices with no certainty. I think it is much easier for most PIs to piggy back of someone elses hard work and endeavors, risk only what we can afford to lose and benefit if things go well. I am happy for Al that he has made some profit from his business and wish him well. I hope he makes more and we all make some along the way with him. If it fails he will lose more than most of us have risked, probably even that shiny new home he has worked hard for. Good luck to him .
jdt1990 - what gives Pi's or any investor the right to question this is the 500k sale as the head of the company and the fact that whilst he was selling and making his cash (to buy his lovely expensive house for his family) people were buying and have now lost money on the release of the information after the event and made their families worse off today! That is not on any side of any Pi or investor when he makes out of this situation and the people purchasing gets screwed when he decides to tell the buyer after the event. All the promises he has made to us about pipeline products, which have yet to come to fruition, and none of us that are holding have yet to benefit in cash or certainly not to the tune of 500k to buy a house! Unlike the Head of the Company today who has bigged his company up for 6mths, sucked all the investment in and pocketed 500k to but a lovely new house for himself and family - Ah Bless!!!
I was invested in GVC, 2 directors sold s substantial amount of shares causing the sp to tank
Then they bought back in
As Jimmy Saville would say
" How's about that then "
His salary is 282k pa I believe, and yes he's free to do whatever he lies with his 10p shares, however I think the timing stinks
Axe - Because you can't pay for a house after you bought it.....very simple to grasp concept (especially with all these brain cells you have). Needs a lump sum now to pay for the house and has to sell some equity for it. Equity that has risen significantly in value over the last year and only a tiny portion of his overall equity/options holding.
What gives PI's the right to dictate when he buys a house and how he pays for it? No red flag at all!
Global his wife more than likely made him do it... How many of you have bought and sold houses based on it being the wife's idea.... Lol!!!
She probably needs a new decorating project in her life as Big Al is never at home these days working such long hours...
Maybe Al sold those shares at £1.80 and bought them back at £1.65 ;-)
On a serious note when I saw it drop my a s s did twitch a bit initially but now to be honest I feel right now exactly the same as I did yesterday. The man is entitled to do what he wants with his shares just as you or I am. You have shares to eventually cash them in and hopefully make money to spend on the things you want. Al wanted a house. If he had sold the lot then I may have a different view. I have found it amusing how there seem to be SOOOOO many new names on this board with opinions that I have never seen before (I have been looking at this board since April) I guess that tells you all you need to know.
3 weeks into Q4 I am not overly worried as I am looking at the medium/long term not day trading it.
All I'm saying is the company is weak if it collapses like that after CEO who thinks he's on minimum wage selling 4% to buy a house, avsolute rubbish first time ever seen a nonsense RNS like that
Stupid stupid stupid, don't you get it?
Massive Red Flag selling 500K today - after all with amount of shares he has if positive news round corner (as most are crowing about on here) then why not wait 12 mths when his shares could be worth Zillions according to 90% of investors on here. He could have bought the whole of the Midlands instead of just a house!
Directors buying ncyt at 330p was a sign too.
Certainly precluded from selling ahead of as yet, undisclosed bad news but not that which would be considered positive for the Company. Thus important news could still land at any time. Suspect thus sale was delayed as long as possible in an attempt to catch any uplift, but we know matters are currently not within their own hands.
Mr 277 Posts - your just a sheep Pi, if you willing to defend the boss who just pocketed 500k at the expense of our money to buy a massive house, you are just deluded. 4 Posts or not I do have a more than 1 brain cell, unlike some who have recently posted on here.
Mr 4 posts, have you not read any of the previous posts? ( even deramps)
Pathetic summary of events
Everyone crowing on here how good Director is - lets just have a look at shall we, sold for £1.80p today and we finish down, not to mention all those who bought his shares today to fund his lovely New Mansion!!! Invested in this but this has a bad smell about it!!!! Seen stuff like this earlier in year with NMC Health. He probably not buying house and just stuck it all in Synairgen . This is becoming a joke. No News, nothing tangible coming from company for weeks, and director sells £500,000 pounds worth of his stock to buy a house, couldn't make this s**t up!!!!
Ive already filtered him, so I do not see any of his nonsense...
He's a stoogie and a dinlow
A tale of 2 co NCYT reaches high and AVCT is being dumped by the CEO hmmm.
Sir Al what are you playing at get a grip man!! You have a reputations what's left of it to consider.
Its the wrong RNS Gromit! lol
People were bashing NCYT saying their products no good blah blah yet their SP is £10 and surprise suprise AVCT hasn't even released a working product, are they releasing the ultimate product or something just doesn't make any sense.
What I know is I went with my gut and sold out and put it into SYME, this company with Myles messaging day before the official news just doesn't make any sense.
Exactly. Accounting for options and shares its just 4 per cent and just so he can get a house closer to the Wetherby Whaler.
He can sell if the price isn’t due to tank based on a negative announcement. They can still release good news anytime.
This isn’t a closed period.
And his options?.....FFS some folk people really shouldn't be on here....
I have a question that would like experienced investors to answer if possible: "Director dealings aren’t they not allowed prior to financial results or within 30 days of price sensitive news"
Is this true?
Its a 3rd of his shares so it is a bit worrying
