GKB47, your shallow, disingenous, inaccurate, dimwitted, negative and pointless deramping aside . . . how can you be so disrespectful as to refer to AS as the Wetherby Waffler. He and his team are light years ahead of dullards like you in intellect, ability, commitment and vision and are probably decent folks too. For sure, they are going to put a lot of money in the pockets of a lot of total strangers, some of whom use this BB. Yet you feel you can run them down with cheap jibes. Not only does that make you appear foolish, it also marks you as a meely-mouthed loser who attacks others (from the safety of his keyboard) who are not in a position to defend themselves.
Shame in you.
So what happened to the Invitation to Tender OJEU notice for the supply of LFTs published on TED on 29th December? The timetable indicated that it would be awarded due for early February and the recent court rulings would indicate that the results should be published about now. After all the shenanigans with setting up hurdles with Condor, Falcon etc have they moved the goal posts yet again?
I've got to admit I sold a few at 199p for a good profit and have sunk it into another share. Still holding a sizeable chunk though, just had to de risk and take profits. That is the name of the game afterall.
But I thought we'd failed PD?
On that front, it's interesting that PresAl mentioned that they're working with PHE to confirm their test works for the various variants and if not, they can whip up some new affimers to replace the current version. Sounds like they're still very much working in partnership to me. Oh go on then, have another payday 'top up'....
Can I be first?
Is it us?
Whilst I'm here:
Wouldn't want to be out of the weekend.
Friday FOMO.

Here come the yanks.
Thwack.
Cheeky little top-up.
etc. etc.
According to the NHS test ad trace Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Lateral Flow Devices (LFDs) document;
"All LFDs must undergo a rigorous validation programme, which PHE Porton Down has developed in conjunction with the University of Oxford, prior to them being deployed."
(See document below).....
so who else do we know has gone through PHE Porton Down rigorous validation programme that would potentially outbid Avacta. No one comes to mind, I think Avacta is on a home run here in my own opinion.
Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Lateral Flow Devices (LFDs)
Test & Trace
NHS Test and Trace brings together testing, contact tracing and outbreak management into an end-to-end service to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, protect local communities and save lives. Our purpose is to break chains of COVID-19 transmission to enable people to return towards and maintain a more normal way of life.
The quicker we can identify people who need to self-isolate, the more effectively we can reduce the spread of the virus. We are working around the clock to increase testing capacity.
Lateral Flow Devices (LFDs)
LFDs are one of the tools being used to help us to detect and fight COVID-19.
All LFDs must undergo a rigorous validation programme, which PHE Porton Down has developed in conjunction with the University of Oxford, prior to them being deployed.
We know that one in three people who have coronavirus never show any symptoms but that does not mean they are not infectious.
These devices can help identify people who have high levels of virus, who do not have symptoms and would not otherwise be coming forward for a test. We are using testing to find people who have COVID-19 and ensure both they and their recent contacts self-isolate to avoid passing the virus on to other people. This allows us to reduce the risk of local outbreaks and manage them if they do occur.
Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS)
The Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) is a procurement tool that allows those suppliers who qualify onto it to subsequently compete for contracts through mini- competitions. It is similar to a framework agreement but has added flexibility as suppliers can apply and be qualified to join it at any time during its period of validity. This means suppliers are not locked out for the duration of the DPS as they may be under a framework.

Eddie is a legend, I'm sure she'd be proud, I just spotted a similarity :-)
There are actually two kinds of DPS's, open and closed. Open means suppliers can apply to be on the preferred list at any time during the life of the DPS. As long as they meet the qualifying criteria, they will be added to the list. Closed means that once the list is initially established, it is then closed to new suppliers. I assume this one would be open, as I can't see the sense in shutting out potential new suppliers.
By the way, the mini-tenders don't get published. They are just sent out to the preferred suppliers. So, the first we will know about any successful bids, will be after they are awarded...via an RNS, I would imagine.
...Eddie Izzard - Oh that's cruel..... but....

Up to £10 billion for 12 months - first deliveries mid April
https://vimeo.com/516654709/b3f7bdeda6
You can apply at any time during the DPS so let's not create another fake deadline...
https://vimeo.com/516654709/b3f7bdeda6
Didn't know Eddie Izzard was involved
The deadline is April 2022 (01 Apr 2022 00:59)
Least it shows they expecting huge demand for at least the next year.
A DPS (Dynamic Purchasing System) is a system designed to collate a number of qualifying suppliers onto a preferred supplier list. After the framework is established the buyer (DHSC) will run a series of mini-tenders within the framework, to which the preferred suppliers can then apply. That's why there is no value shown in the tender.
Hmmmm April 1st deadline.
Now where have I heard end of Q1 before:)
Oooooh.....I smell an outside chance of being involved
