"Preferred the jumbo to the turbo but the Graham gooch 333 was a belter"
Wow Doggy,
I was at Lords and saw that innings of 333. Tendulkar got a ton that match too. Wow. Over 30 years ago that!

After a whole year in Avacta I thought s and s was the cricket bat
Stuart surridge
Wow
Are you a genuine person or a weirdo?
Personally I’m genuinely a wierdo!
"You get that is still a possibility?"
I do get that, But:
-The evidence of 56 sample cv says 97/100
-The evidence of the same affimer used in an ELISA test says it's the most sensitive in the world and is now available globally through ABCAM
- The evidence is that same affimer works incredibly well on deepverge waste water test.
Show me the concerning evidence to say it's crap?
Yes a reality check. The most important reason why Avacta need to get a move on, never mind us investors, this thing needs stopping! Test, test, test!
From the Guardian:
The coronavirus pandemic is at a “critical point” and people need a “reality check” as restrictions are eased, a World Health Organisation (WHO) expert warned.
Dr Maria van Kerkhove, head of the WHO’s technical response, told a press conference that vaccinations alone are not enough to combat Covid-19.
She said: “We need headlines around these public health and social measures, we need headlines around the tools that we have right now that can prevent infections and save lives.
“We are in a critical point of the pandemic right now, the trajectory of this pandemic is growing.
“It’s the seventh week in a row where we’ve had more than 4.4 million new cases reported in the last week (around the world).
“If you compare that to a year ago we had about 500,000 cases being reported per week... the trajectory of the pandemic right now is growing exponentially.
This is not the situation we want to be in 16 months into a pandemic, where we have proven control measures. It is time right now where everyone has to take stock and have a reality check about what we need to be doing.”
That's a very real possibility and to be honest even I would be ****ed off if that happens.
But I cant see it happening, why the hell would they do that after months of CV, hardly just going to bin that data.
We know they have a fully scalable repeatable process in place now for the LFT production so perhaps that joint effort wouldn't take long and the year it's taken to get this far is clearly worth it. This is Avacta's chance to firmly shine the spotlight on the humble Affimer as big Al had already alluded to in the last interview. Affimers already have the backing of some huge global players and a successful LFT will amplify that further
Investing in Avacta messes with your head!
Risk/ reward. I know full well I’m taking a huge risk, so hopefully I’ll reap a big reward. A rise to £10 (wish people wouldn’t ramp) gives me wealth I’ve only ever dreamed of. That’s the point, holding a bucket load of Avacta shares gives me permission to dream because all the research suggests it could and should actually happen, a dream come true. But fate may have other ideas! We’ve been so near yet so far, for so long, so to speak. I ask myself if a higher authority upstairs has decided a sudden increase in my wealth is not going to be allowed to happen.
Can AS not see how this is torturing some people ie me! But I’m not going to give in!
Let the torture continue!
GLA
"I give it until next week"
Then what? Are you going to write a stern moaning post on here that'll make no difference? You won't sell though, will you...? FOMO's gonna get you....
works = weeks
3cwerks = 3 weeks
Grrr...sorry
Q1 ended 31 March.
Around the end of Q1 would be a couple if works before up to a couple of weeks after...
However, we're in a pandemic and I would stretch to up to 3cwerks or so after the end of Q1...as it all depends on people power and whether or not all the companies/departments are fully up and running and not bogged down due to staff off sick or having to self isolating due to positive test or having been in contact with someone who has tested positive....
I give it until next week and if there are going to be more delays we should be told...
Glad I have your blessing.
I agree Timster - obviously anyone's death is sad. However, what is going on here is in the interest of public and global health (to put it mildly). Can't see anything being held back for the sake of PP's funeral. Seems absurd to me.
Mart, 12 months? same here we have been through the two big drops and I can understand a little nerves.
I remind myself there is no delay from around the end of Q1, about the initial LFT data, the test going through CE with mologic, the large scale CV, Avacta are not doing all this just for the craic.
I am sure there will be a LFT imminently with at least good enough CV to generate decent income and most likely a whole lot more.
Also I think if there was a pullback from here then we have plenty of chances for recovery, I believe very good AVA6k early data alone maybe worth another £400-£600 million to our mcap. AVA6k is more than fully funded and early data is only around the corner, by end of year at the latest hopefully.
It is frustrating to wait at times but I believe it will be worth it and its good to see the SP has held up very well while waiting.

I can't imagine the whole world has to stop because of a royal death.
Maybe I'm wrong but surely everything doesn't have to stop until the funeral is done.
Agreed, as an Avacta holder for over a year now it is getting pretty frustrating all this waiting.
Yes I understand patience is required and a lot of this will be out of the companies hands
Yes I understand samples may be difficult to get hold of
Yes I understand government entities can be difficult to deal with
Yes I understand that this is a first class LFT which may need a few iterations before it is complete
Yes I am overexposed here as I am sure a lot of us are
Yes I am happy to wait a few more weeks if required
What is frustrating here is the missed timelines which AS gives, if he said early Q2 for CE/CV then fine just be realistic!
We are lucky most of the dreamless were in the NCYT camp else we’d be getting an earful
Let’s hope we get something later in the week.
gkb - you're not a journalist are you? They never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
Yep agree very stressful and slow. If no rns tomorrow, I can see another shake out. Suprised the price has held up today.
You wrote this for yourself but sums me up as well as I am sure lots of others on here! First ever venture into shares this year and what a year! No one would hold back the good news just to be sensitive re a funeral. What ever is happening as outside of Avacs capability to manage. They have no doubt got the thing as they have said. the need to get it validated is in somebodies jobs worth hands. how long and how fast they work? No idea.
Will they be rushing this? No reason to think they will. Like you I just need to see if this is actual give me some closure and putting the laptop down.
Very odd that some of you seem to think mid April is 2 weeks past the end of Q2. No wonder you are panicking.
Good honest summary.
The test is there, and it’s the best. But understand the frustration. Don’t get caught up in the theories about why it’s late, and checking every 5 mins. Easier said, I imagine.
Well I ask myself everyday can I wait much longer? Yes!
Alastair please! I beg you! Please help me out here! I don’t want to go into therapy I just want that rns. Please! My compulsive behaviour is getting serious.
Checking for rns every morning at 7pm, monitoring avct share price on google every few minutes, reading every post on LSE Avacta board, searching web for anything Covid lft related. This is what happens after you eat, sleep and breathe Avacta for 12 months. I’ve turned into an antigen test geek! But I have no wish to appear on Mastermind; specialist subject: Avacta, the life and times of their antigen lft!
FFS I just want closure of this episode. Yes, many more episodes to come but I will at least then know for sure if I’m to become a tramp or have a roof over my head, a car on the drive and food on the table, all thanks to Avacta!
Balls deep and starting to get a tiny weeny bit shaky!
Maybe waiting for the 16 April?
'flak Cameron is getting': People just want to put the boot in with Cameron though, and rightly.
And he waited a month before releasing news!
