what price did you buy at in March?
I always do research, but am not into biochemistry, so don't understand the fine scientific stuff. Perhaps many posters on here were over-optimistic in their opinions in earlier times. I had noted the webinar in my diary but had another pressing thing to do came up, so may watch the recording later. There are many other interesting biotech companies! And ps: the school kids test mentioned just now still had to be checked on a machine. Anyway, let's leave it that now, shall we? No point in clogging up the bb with vitriol!
I’ve posted multiple times Cytiva were not an LFD manufacturer, they’ve got a website that explains what they offer. They offer services to develop LFDs and they’ve done a cracking job by the sounds of it. Good ol’ Klaus. Not so nippy at tech transfer, but hey ho, as Sir Al said it’s best to remove all technical risk now.
HaHa larry.
You got lucky here taking a shot in March without doing any research. You pick today of all days to come on here and announce that the company lied to you and conned you (after the presentation today).
And now you put your trust in metland - the 1 post wonder!
A tad gullible you are? Would you say?
What I took from the comments about Cytiva and their partner role was that they would appear to have no potential influence/role in helping to get any U.S. approvals.
Some posters on here seemed to be implying that they would be our foot in the door for getting a 'fast-track' EUA
I always thought Cytiva was a major partner until I read Metland's comment. Who is right? To me a simple saliva test is a great way of testing, and I read somewhere that is is used for school kids who just have to spit into a test tube.
Why does anyone care if a single impatient investor sold out?
Good luck Larry, in particular finding another opportunity as good as this.
Larryh,
Why are you still here?
Don't do Facebook. It is an open bb, not just for the glory boys (and girls)!
Point taken and proved. The sp began to stagnate and go backwards.
Why do you care? You’re minted. Go and buy something :-)
@Larryhaha - If you sold out a month ago why are you still here? Strikes me as the jilted lover who's still reading his ex girlfriends facebook.....lol
ahh diddums Larry, you should probably sell and move on then!
Cytiva are a significant partner, they developed the goddamn test numbnuts! Avacta only made the reagent. Cytiva will be manufacturing the second most significant component, the media itself, which has been optimised to work with Affimers. If you don't think that makes them a major manufacturing partner you need your bumps testing, as well as your saliva!
Where is the test being offered?
One month ago we were almost exactly where we are now. So you made circa 650% profit from this ‘jam tomorrow’ company? My heart bleeds.
I see the circus is back in town, clowns everywhere, these ones are so funny am thinking of buying a ticket !
I sold out a month ago when the 'delays' were becoming apparent.
HaHa has two 'H's.
@larryh
If you have been in since March, you’re circa 650% at this point. What on earth are you complaining about? :-)
LarryH - It still is a simple saliva test being offered to the general public, that was made abundantly clear in the presentation.
Not really sure how you have concluded Cytiva are a "nonsense" partner, given their membrane technology is foundational to the LFT and forms the basis of every test...
Got to love the MM action. Made me another 15% which I've kept as additional shares, love the volatility.
larryh
Does the "H" stand for HaHa?
Metland, I agree with you 100%. I bought into avacta in March because it sounded like a simple saliva test that was about to be offered to the public for self-testing. Cytiva was made out to be a great partner, but it was all nonsense - and simply put, I feel conned by them, and like you Met, have lost all faith in them and their jam tomorrow philosophy.
Bella6532..... it’s not only the fact that he is not anxious about being beaten to market. He is so confident that demand will so massively outstrip supply, that we wants to sell AVACTAs reagents to competitors so that they can make their own tests. So then , this is our ‘catch all’ remedy for the challenges of finding sufficient manufacturing partners to scale up our own tests... don’t worry, we will sell the reagents instead. WIN - WIN :-)
Bella,
The global market will only be able to source Affimer based products from companies having a licence or relationship with Avacta.
So there won't be "room for many", just Avacta when discussing the use of Affimers.
