CS your post at 20:48 is pretty much it. We’ve got USPs over the competition so no concerns and like you I’m relaxed having given up on the daily hopeful expectation of news. When it arrives it’ll be a cracker, until then, the madness continues. Genuinely have no idea why people would sell at the moment, especially if it’s based on other inferior tests turning up.
*chance
This is the post of the day Captain Stanley. I've been pushing a balanced, responsible approach all day and been vilified and even been threatened about being reported to the FCA for suggesting you need to have your eyes wide open with this. It's clear many are way deep and counting the chickens before they've come home to roost. It could go either way - a knife edge. This forum is full of rampers that's for sure. DYOR and only invest what you can afford to see return to pre covid levels but know we have a life change at a multi bagger and those don't come along too often.
You had one fella whose post history showed he was in at 190-205 and would be devastated for it to go wrong accusing people of suggesting the above that they are costing the little investor money and somehow he was looking out for them. Really they are worried about their own investment and doing some classic ramping.
(My position for clarity over 20k shares at over £1 and less than £1.50 average)

There were some negative comments in the Guardian article including by Prof Deeks, but, it looks as if the government had advice from people who are likely to be correct.
From the DM article:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8587591/Do-Matt-Han****s-new-coronavirus-tests-work-Scientists-urge-government-release-data.html
* "Sir John Bell, a professor of medicine at Oxford University, who has been advising ministers on tests, said both were just as accurate as the lab swabs currently in use in the UK."
* "Professor Andrew Beggs, a University of Birmingham scientist who ran one of the independent testing labs for LamPORE, told the BBC today: 'My lab was one of the labs chosen to try and pilot this system.
'We are right next door to the hospital Queen Elizabeth in Birmingham, we've already run it on patient samples that we've received in and it's 100 per cent accurate compared to the NHS test at the moment, in some ways it's slightly better because instead of having one target for coronavirus testing we can test for separate targets that you can use to detect the coronavirus it allows us to try and reduce the false negative and the false positive rate.' "
I am much more optimistic than earlier that the tests work to a reasonable S & S, but the trial results do need to be published.
However, the tests do not look as cheap as the mass test Avacta/Cytiva approach.
Very true PL..... if we shout too loud, HM Govt might become nervous about taking similar shortcuts for Avct tests...... especially bearing in mind that the validation of the LFT doesn’t seem to be being done by CONDOR itself (just ‘supported’).
Before we stroll too far down this path, bear in mind Awacta’s tests will no doubt be viewed in a similar way. The govt are quite deliberately taking shortcuts using trials and if a new test shows promise they’ll go for it. It’s the entire purpose of Condor. It was discussed here:
https://www.pri.org/file/2020-07-28/do-instant-covid-19-tests-work
According to Professor Jon Deeks who’s job is to evaluate tests said on Sky today that he knows nothing about these new tests ..they have not been evaluated, there has been no Peer reviews or detailed studies done which he would expect of every new test ... and he has no idea if they are accurate.
Looks like another panic buy by the shambolic government to grab the headlines today !
i just want to know so if the share price does drop I can say well done to you and good call, if it doesn't and rises I can laugh at you. so please let us know today so we know you're not bull****ting.
He’ll decide later
global did you buy back in or are you waiting for tomorrow?
You obviously have no concept of technical analysis seethree.
I thought this was entering into a covid rich news period a few weeks back, or was that to create excitement to raise the 48m
“Inevitable” best post ever! Thanks mystic meg
It's looking like it's closing on a low today, so a move lower tomorrow looks inevitable
I'm worried for tomorrow as the price is heading down again.
Treeshake gave the sp a battering today and now.
Avacta Top Tip AIM for 2020
Take a look at biotechnology company Avacta, whose share price has rocketed 783% since mid-March. Despite being a loss-making company, I think Avacta has huge potential, something made clear by its positive developments since the outbreak of Covid-19. The post I think these are the best UK shares to buy now after the 2020 stock market crash appeared.
