Well done SC. I've also sent to my MP. Both her parents are medics and she has previously worked for Ian Duncan Smith's think tank - Centre for Social Justice. Whether any of that will help remains to be seen.
I sent this e-mail to Lord Hunt and got this response
Hi
Thanks for your email.
I will look into this
Best wishes

It is a very good account of the Innova saga by scaredy but the draft legislation must surely just be to get the DHSC out of a tricky corner and they are surely willing to move on to a better test especially if they are allowed this leeway in the rules to smooth over past errors. Kicking up a stink I hope will not backfire. I hate to see money wasted but I am sure the Innova test had some utility, even if just to prepare the testing scene going forward. The public are in the picture testing procedures now and the DHSC are about to slot in a better test.
@scaredy thanks. Will do
@Falcone789
If you send me an email at this throw away email address, I'll send you a copy of the letter and you can just forward it on to your MP. That goes for anybody else too.
primergy63@gmail.com
And include your home address in the email, otherwise it will get bounced back.
Great letter template, sent to my useless MP too
How do you copy and paste, please?
If you are writing to Jeremy in his capacity as Chair of the Health and Social Care Committee, please send your email to: hsccom@parliament.uk
Yeh, just did that @MCB, you beat me to it! It's gone through.
Send it to Jeremy Hunt as Chair of the Health Committee not as a constituency MP!
Thanks @mstar. Sent to Jeremy Hunt (with MrA's corrections :-))
However, got bounced back:
"Parliamentary protocol states that MPs can only respond to correspondence from their constituents"
So, somebody in his constituency needs to send it.
Good stuff scardey. I recommend you also write to Jeremy Hunt MP, chair of the Heath and Social Care Select Committee.

Or a contract lawyer?
Thanks MrA, very helpful.
I actually had you down as an English teacher, after seeing your suggested 'edits' to AgentB's fine effort.
My partner is also an English teacher :-)
Many thanks MrA...correction made.
I knew you'd spot something :-)
Scardey I forwarded your letter to MP's with List of Links and received this reply from Owen Patersons office by return:
'Thank you for your email. Mr Paterson will write to the Minister about this and I will be in touch as soon as I have received a response.
Best wishes,
Claire
Mrs Claire Ayres
Senior Parliamentary Assistant to the Rt Hon Owen Paterson MP'
Just sent it to my bezza, Christian @ Medusa. Asked him if he could forward it on to Sir Al - you never know.
Thanks @Bella. Yes, I'll send them a copy. Any other recipient suggestions welcome.
Scardey...will you be sending a copy to Avacta too?
Thumbs up to Julie....and Scardey...

Subject: RE: The Innova tests: another Covid scandal in the making?
Thank you Martin for your email. It's such a scandal regarding this 'free pass' for Innova. I will forward this on to my editor and discuss with her. I think your letter to MP is very good and should be used as a template.
Yeh, I'll do that AgentB. Will send an accompanying English dictionary with it - you know what that lot are like :-)
Scardey, how about posting this on ODX as well? They seem to appreciate cross-board co-operation.
Scardey_cat, That's a stunning, classy letter you've written there, well done. I like that you don't mention Avacta as it may have come across as a bit prejudised.
I'll certainly be copying and pasting, word for word, and forwarding to anybody of influence I can think of.
You're one of the very best posters, in my opinion, on this board. Keep it up my friend.
Cheers
JT
I hope someone who is a constituent of Kier Starmer or Jon Ashworth sends them a copy - useful for pmq's imv.
