He’s not invested. One liners, hand grenades, insults, then moves on. He’s a troll be definition.
Is it Ray or Victor Meldrew?
For someone who's apparently invested in Avacta, he sure does have a lot of negative things to say......which begs the question, why is he invested?
If I become that negative with a stock, I simply move on to the next one I believe in.
Strange behaviour indeed.
MFM and Ray you are two real grumpy chestnuts. Cheer up!
If ABDX falls much lower, we'll be able to have a whip-round here, buy the company out, manufacturing capacity solved!
Ray - I’m sure if you asked him about his new curtains in a professional forum like that, he’d not answer.
But I’m sure he has, like me and many others, carried out some upgrades on his house with the profits Avacta have provided. You should try it.
Medusa RNS FYI
https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/AVCT/distribution-agreement-for-covid-19-antigen-test-21mboh9bzzm6j5g.html
BBI and ABDX are listed in the RNS's too, worth a read.
Ma
if you want to contact Sir Al its
alastair dot smith at avacta dot com
Ask him if he will be speaking about his new curtains on monday lol
Wow when you say you only read the tea leaves you really do wyn.
At what point have Medusa been confirmed a manufac provider in all the RNSs and prezzos…not at all. But they touted 50m/month as their capacity.
Will they be producing and selling an average antibody test in those volumes? Highly doubt it!
So IMO they’re ones for AS to speak to and look at for manufac capacity. Could be a dark horse.
Currently only have distribution agreement.
But you knew that wyn didn’t you - been here whining long enough!
All of what has been suggested is possible (or indeed probable) but not answering the phones is pretty unprofessional. They can't be very happy if that is being forced on them by events.
I thought Medusa had put in manufacturing capability? Is that not correct? Are they just a (potential) sales outlet?
No! Avacta will be able to send the odd box of 20 to a UK Company whilst simultaneously juggling a world theater of 27+ Country's asking for all of them.
Capacity is limited - we know that. So why would Avct be tying up any of that capacity for the Medusa site when the test is only ce marked for professional use only and the only route to market in the UK is via the govt. would make zero sense.
For me, this points in the right direction in that it looks like larger orders which need some work on the contracts.
Otherwise they would have just stuck the test straight on Medusa website.
Sorry guys but I think the little businesses won’t be getting a look in until there is significantly expanded capacity.
I think that's obvious, they're not entertaining small businesses yet. They're clearly working on government and large commercial sales for the time being. That's a good sign.
Phone Rosemary the Telephone Operator and ask her to ask Henry, the janitor why he exercised his shares.
Also Hong Kong Phooey, (Sir Al) will he be Number One Superguy by Monday’s presentation.
Ignore the last two lines, don't know what happened there :-)
@biffa @JRDC
That's 3 companies we know of that can't get a response from Avacta re: ordering tests and, also, the test is not being shown as available on the Medusa website.
I'm beginning to think more and more, that this radio silence points to serious background negotiations being conducted between Avacta & UK govt. These negotiations, if real, put Avacta in a really awkward position regarding enquiries from private companies. They can't very well say "The test isn't yet available for purchase", as suggested by JRDC, since that would contradict what they've said in the last RNS. And, of course, they can't say "Sorry, the first 5 million are already spoken for", since that's price sensitive information. So, stuck between a rock and a hard place they have no choice but to go under the radar.
Couple that with the fact that PHE are assisting Avacta with verifying the test works against VoC's, as stated by AS (I mean, you have to ask yourself, why are they assisting Avacta?), there has to be a strong possibility that Avacta receives govt orders in the not too distant.
I'm really start
"The test isn't yet available for purchase"
No one will answer any of the 4 lines into Wetherby.
I've tried every hour from a number of different lines and tried each 1-4 option they give you.
I've left messages since Friday and Monday with my company details and number of staff etc.
Email is totally useless as no response from a variety of ones sent from again different outlets.
I'm sorry, but there is no way that this is anyway normal or acceptable for any company, let alone one that after 12 months has actually got a product to sell.
They have had months to get ready for this.
Has anyone been able to get any response from the company since last week?
