I will email them too now. People think that those higher up in the chain of command such as the PM will know about this brilliant test but they won't. There is too much going on. People lower down the chain choose the path that is easiest for them because of red tape and not what is in the interests of the public always.
An email to people such as Robert Peston (ITV) or Beth Rigby (Sky) may help as they are quite often featured on the 5 O'clock News briefings and could bring the subject up as a concern.
I've emailed reform UK also to highlight that we don't want the Innova test manufactured in the UK under the guise as a sovereign test.
Great, I've just emailed Richard Tice as well, thanks
Dear Boris,
A significant number of U.K. citizens are now alert to the fact that the Gov is peddling inaccurate LFTs imported at vast expense from China. Meanwhile, news has emerged this week the Wetherby-based Avacta has gone through rigorous clinical validation to establish that it’s LFT has the best sensitivity and specificity of any test anywhere in the world. Please see sense and change supplier ASAP.
Done!
I'll do that now. thanks
If you want to get it discussed email Richard Tice at Reform UK. The anti-China, pro-British rhetoric of a sovereign test is perfect for them. They'll plaster it all over social media.
Just emailed Boris and Kier
Looking forward to the next few weeks
Go Avacta!!!
Yes, we are raising the profile in advance , so they don't just end up manufacturing the Innova one in the UK, it's a matter of principle also when the government talk about buying British. People think the gov officials know what is going on but most of the time they work in silo even now and the left hand often doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
Well, I've done the PM email thingy. It will certainly add to the tonnage of messages some poor soul in the PM's staff will have to deal with.
Imagine if we were in North Korea and all men had to copy their leader’s haircut! That would put the barbers out of business sharpish!
Now getting annoyed with it looking likely the EU will beat the U.K. to our LFT. Then when manufacturing capacity cannot match U.K. demand who will they blame? EU will just smile.
Dear PM,
We have built it. Now are you going to come?
Yours
GAZALA69
PS I find your haircut unbelievable Jeff.
PPS PL75 for Health Minister ( he too has a pink tie).
ISO is required first for the sovereign test to be supplied by us- a legal requirement.
email the no 10 email as they will pass it to the relevant. I emailed the Sun newspaper from a BUY lOCAL point of view and also to highlight that INNOVA was CE only for professional use and also to point out this test is easier to use because of the nostril swab yet still more accurate than the other current tests.
we have nothing to lose by raising the profile, there is power in joining forces.
Thinking AS just piled a lot of pressure on Government. ‘Government is slow (PD, PHE, BSI), can sell to EU, looking at USA, best LFT, demand outstrips supply. Boris needs to do some arse kicking.
I will do that now. On quick google search the Sun is. the most sold newspaper in the UK.
Maybe we should be sending this to Starmer. I am sure he can spin this along the lines of government ignoring anything that does not come via Oxford or the chumocracy.
Yeah, pretty sure they're absolutely, already well aware of Avacta and their LFT......and yeah I'm taking the P I S S
This is an excellent idea. The gov only respond to media or backlash, otherwise the will just keep using the cheap Chinese ones. Lets all do this
If you take time to post here you have time to join me in emailing the PM, they do take note of the emails that are sent into no 10. Copy and Paste my words if you wish for ease. https://email.number10.gov.uk
Dear PM,
I have just been in the AVACTA webinar on the results of the worlds most accurate lateral Flow test and implore you not to miss out on this easy to use swab from nostrils test. It is the most accurate test in the world and will be sold globally without doubt in millions each month. In a post Brexit Britain it is so important not only to manufacture a test but to have a complete UK made test. The DHSC fast tracked the Innova for consumer use under emergency use, ensure the same for the Avacta UK gold standard test. To let this opportunity pass would let the UK economy down. Testing will only work to prevent transmission if we have an easy to use reliable test. I understand from SAGE minutes the projected figures out of lockdown do not include waning vaccine antibodies. Therefore an accurate easy to use LFT will be paramount in preventing further transmission. We heard hot off the press, the Avacta LFT detects the South African variant.
