I posted afew weeks ago about my pal in USA.
His wife is Japanese. She had breast cancer and was given the usual dosage for her weight, etc,
She suffered, is suffering, from cardiotoxicity, .
It was subsequently discovered that the dosage she was given was appropriate for a western woman but was more than can be tolerated by a woman of oriental origin.
This info was passed to me by my pal, I have no reason to doubt him, why would I.
Make of it what you will.
Stodgy. I doubt they will.
Surely part of the point about AVA6000 is that it targets the tumour and not other organs?
Otherwise, there is no point.
It seems that AVA6000 is a bit misunderstood by some and the Safety Committee have agreed an increased dosage.
I am very happy with the Safety Committee's decision and believe that this means that " it works".
Hence I continue to buy when funds allow.
Onwards Avacta.
Rich, it definitely wasn't AVA6000. Some existing dox or similar, that causes cardiomyopathy. The sort of thing that AVA6k should avoid.
Hopefully the original poster will re-emerge.
just confirming the poster is telling the truth.
Rememdering that is fine, Stodgy.
Was it dox? Was it ava6000? Was it anything at all?
Rich OB.
I can remember that been posted.
How many unsubstantiated posts would you like to make?
Either put a link on/ grow up/ realise that you are posting rubbish.
No offence intended but you never post anything positive about a share you are allegedly invested in.

Someone on this BB wrote that an acquaintance (or relative?) was given dox (think it was dox) appropriate to their weight but it should have been a lower dose as they were oriental. As a result of the chemo the person experienced irreversible heart damage.
Other people on this BB will remember and perhaps the posted themselves will reappear to confirm the details.
Hasn't someone already pointed out that an oriental person reacted differently to an amount of chemo and so was damaged more by it than anticipated. I'm not saying that 'Americans' are a different race but their makeup is probably not quite the same now when compared to an equivalent European or Brit of a particular race. Add in all the other sensible comments and it must be worth testing in US sites.
I don't use Twitter and I don't care about what he is doing elsewhere.
I just want to see what his argument is. If it is as I (and probably others here suspect) simply unfounded crapola then its easy to filter him out. But I would like to find out for myself
You've missed the reams of posts about him having multiple accounts on twitter and him posting that he is now shorting avct then?
Because Tim, its an odd stance that poster has taken from being so positive to being so negative. And rather than just assuming any ulterior motives I try to engage in a discussion to find out his reasoning.
If it turns out he wont engage or has no coherent argument I will ignore/filter him.
Thinking about the logistics and costs involved would there be any advantage in bringing on the US site for what’s left of phase 1a? It seems more logical to bring the new sites on to contribute to 1b where they can select particular patient groups and set up the trial protocol just for 1b.
Thanks both, appreciate the replies, makes sense
That's a valid question PL. Of course, from the point of view of the
trial, it is irrelevant where the patients are dosed. But I think it
matters from the market's perspective. Adding additional hospitals to
the trial at this stage is surely a positive sign, it shows a
willingness of the committee to expand the study. And the US is particularly
noteworthy, at least in the market psychology, in that it is openning
up a much larger potential market, with bigger players. This would be
a clear step towards US approval (eventually). Adding
international sites at this stage would seem ludicrous if the data to
date on ava6k wasn't living up to expectations.
Why do we care about the geographic location of participants?
I hold there and it was good news today but I am still well underwater.
Been there, done that, interesting tech, needs gov with appropriate vision.
Thanks
Good luck with it mate.
Your choice mate
Dyor. :-)
Linked to government and council decision makers mate. After the LFT situation I’d rather not.

I wonder where these small sellers are heading today. I honestly can’t see where you’d have news potentially as big on the horizon. Yes they may be worrying it won’t be positive, but that’s the risk with playing for large gains. So far all looks rosey, but maybe they simply plan to wait for data then pay a much higher premium.
Cheers folks.
I’m onto my second shift in 24 hours. (I’ll put a complaint into my boss… oh no wait) I couldn’t get my brain into gear to work it out.
