AgentB - Suggest you google the difference between Antibody and Antigen testing....your answer in under 30 seconds
Fair point jdt... I truly hope you’re right and it is news regarding our test... just trying to calibrate my expectations... and emotions, at the moment :-)
Am not going to go overboard on this, as previously suggested, just throwing it out there, but when the govt's of both countries have been heavily criticized for their handling of this pandemic, a poc test that could enable them to get back to a sense of normality would be a huge coup for both, and maybe restore a little faith in the leaders of both, jointly developed.
Ok that is really rampy, but just talking out loud.
I agree Kaysee when you say "governments surely won’t announce to the world ‘we have a miracle POC test’"
But the Govt's will 100% have to have a forward looking testing plan given no vaccine and a desperate need to boost the economy. Nothing to say we aren't part of that plan dependent on approvals etc.
If we release a 5pm RNS in-line with the gov announcement the FCA will be all over it. It’d be ridiculous or even a 7am RNS. It’s material FFS so will be released ASAP
dont forget this Fauci interview too

better test within this week
There’s been a lot of talk recently on here about lack of competition re the Covid testing, but the BB over at ODX seems pretty excited that they have it in the bag. Can one of you sciency types explain why their test is not optimal. Many thanks.
Although I am bullish for Avacta, I’m not convinced about these talks of announcements by U.K. and also USA... it won’t be Avacta... governments surely won’t announce to the world ‘we have a miracle POC test’ when it isn’t even clinically trialled or approved. I mean we are still optimising a prototype!
Fully agree with Smallfry37 - There's always a chance we could be mentioned, or then again not. If we are, amazing, if not, BAU.
It's clearly not going to be "The AVCT Show" but if anyone has better information than we do it would surely be the govt.
It also fits in with Fauci's comments about something being very close, again, may have nothing to do with awacta, but first him, and now our government with an important announcement, the timeline fits with sir ALs couple of weeks to optimise.
We will know at 5pm, otherwise we continue our wait.
mortgage, am not setting this up for disappointment, simply throwing it out there, it isn't beyond the realms of possibility, if it has nothing to do with us, its as you were, nothing has changed.
I simply don't understand people here setting us up for disappointment when we have not released a test. Unless of course traders want to create volatility. Oh the irony I get accused of so much here but I am actually quiet level headed.
The placing was done through primarybid who are a corrupt vehicle. They will have been the leak. As you say the RNS’s have been pretty water tight most have been a surprise to the market...
So the gov know exactly when a material RNS will drop. It’s nowt to do with us.
Other than the placing, which I guess would be difficult to contain, Avacta have previously been pretty watertight pre RNS. We were down the day prior to the last couple of announcements.
govt, will want the kudos of delivering this
I think I'd agree with that if it was Avacta then there would be some in the know and buys would be increasing
they could have put a stop to the leak, they would surely be under some sort of non disclosure from the govt, if they have indeed confirmed they are going to roll it out.
That was a 1 in 10 ramp for starters
May well see some buying here in anticipation.
I'd love it to be about Avacta BUT we'd be seeing a huge amount of buys if that was the case as more people than just Mat H would be in the know. I suspect he may just be discussing Leicester and perhaps locking other areas down. I hope I am wrong though
Come on. Let’s have a bloody good ramp.
Where are the derampers??! I need to lower my heart rate!
Is it possible those tweets earlier this week were designed to help the government with decision making?
ahh, sorry all, my reading skills not what they used to be .....
If you read the link I posted, the announcement is categorised as testing.
