The gain HL show looks like the profit you have made on your investment. Mine is now split into two with one line showing the capital return, and the other my reduced holding. No cash yet but expecting the cash line to automatically convert later.
Just contacted Halifax, was told nothing until 31st
Received dividend in my ii account this morning but now sign of capital return (if Computershare can credit accounts today then it would seem likely that brokers should be able to do so too).
No sign of dividend or capital return in AJ Bell yet bit they don't usually credit accounts much before midday, at best. I did however receive a secure message this morning to say that the consolidation would have to be reversed and re-run when the capital proceeds were received so that the adjusted cost carried forward would be correct; so watch this space
Cannot get a reply from HSBC when they will credit the XS capital to my account but the dividend has been credited this morning.
I held 824 shares, at 101 special div would i not receive £832.24, HL are only showing a gain of £338.28. Can anyone explain this?
To manaully cap on HL platform
Select the account and then CAsh tab.. Then select line cash income and loyalty bonus , then next screen far right lower half , Loyalty Bonus and settings , then tfr to Cap account now. Cash will then be available to you
You can manually capitalise the divs ie immediately tfr to Capital account and from their withdraw re invest . They are , as I type starting to post the Lloyds divs so not too bad timing
Well, HL is certainly screwing up the "Performance" stats. eg showing SP down 23.46% in the last week and 27.55% in the last month. They're getting worse.
hasty typing and not checking ... LOL berth ...
"Birth"??
*month
Held through computershare and got the divvi plus the 1.0169 per share capital today.
Regarding HL I had divvis expected by MNG last Mon and it took them till the 10th to actually process the payment into my ISA account. I believe they hold it in their income account till the tenth, depending on what you want en to do with it, ie re invest or pay direct to bank account.
I would hope that HL get it right as dear Miss Blanc has now got herself a NED birth at HL. Embarrassing if they were to screw up Av
Yes indeed true bu that is a latest date . HL have explicitly stated 19th May in all communications and also on the nominal B Share line on account summary.
Read the RNS - " proceeds from the redemption of the B Shares will receive such payment by 31 May 2022"
YEs Barclays are tardy at best , plain awful at worst. They tend to hide behind the regulatory 5 days grace period to post divis when in reality they should be posted and available before opening on the pay date - that is partly why we have rec date so far in advance of pay date thus allowing ( especially in old days of residual form stock ) for the broker to reconcile back to the registrar records. Now, with tech this should be super easy so no excuse . I moved all my accounts and family accounts to HL who are much much better but still do not make div funds available pre open. In their defense today they have Av and Lloyds divs and the Av b share.
Just checked Barclays and neither dividend or capital return has gone in this morning which is normal, may see it tomorrow but more likely Monday. Anyone who receives their capital return today, would be useful to get confirmation on the price per b-share they paid you.
HL never seem to allocate divs at the start of working day - they normally turn up about mid day.
Bad in a rising market - but better in a falling one.
Logged in to HL and the div money hasn’t arrived yet .
@hitman1a - I asked a questions about this at the Aviva AGM. Q1 results presentation shows SII ratio 198% = £8.3bn so rough calc for 180% = £7.5bn (£0.75bn XS). Interest rates due to rise further so this will be good for XS SII cover ratio. You can be rest assured Cevian will be pushing for return of XS ASAP! Also agree DJIA slump is timely for us as dividend & potentially B shares proceeds due tomorrow so can reinvest. Let's see where this goes from now as we shall see a 'clean' set of results going forward. GLA - Aviva!
