''HSBC investdirect , shows the consolidation but the cash is not there..''
if you check again you should find that the return money will be in your account
I think I did thanks, can’t make sense of it all.! So am off out.
Just FYI.
I got div and b shares yesterday morning.
Both appeared in the morning.
I'd already invested it back in at 391. Glad I didn't wait.
Optimist… with the Halifax and got my Divi yesturday afternoon and b shares money late last night. Strange you have not got your Divi. Might be worth contacting them as in all the years I have been with them I have always got the Divi on the day. Did you look in the dividend folder?
Ok thanks shatter, best get onto it then
Ash..no, the b money is not automatically reinvested but is available to invest immediately in the normal way.
TheOptimist - i am with halifax and my div was in account yesterday along with the certificate b money.
If i have dividend reinvestment selected on my account does anyone know if the certificate b money will be considered in same way as div and automatically reinvested?
Spoke to Halifax yesterday morning, was told 31st of May,however Capital return was in my account 9pm last night.Still no dividend.
AllAtSea… just chatting to Halifax. Apparently this will be rectified once the capital return is completed ! If it does not rectify automatically they say it can be done manually. He did not give a date so could even be the 31st when the cap return is officially to be completed.
I also received relevant cash today and will reinvest back.
What I don't understand is the average price paid shown by Halifax. On 3 May it was 391p per share; On 19 May without any intervening transactions it had shot up to 526p per share and since my 2 purchases on 19 and 20 May it is still at 462p. It doesn't make a real difference to my asset value but it does show up as a stock I have lost money on AV. when the opposite is true!
Bought a 33% increase in my holding yesterday. Today I got a lump sum and with the dividend I have bought another load. (Halifax)
Strange how they all differ in a digital world..
HFX capital return is in and consolidation showing now.
HSBC investdirect , shows the consolidation but the cash is not there... guess still coming sometime by May 31
Same here Shatter. Told me the 25th May and was totally disinterested. Sounded ?Ike she was WFH and I had disturbed her daytime TV. Lol
So much for contacting Halifax earlier and being told that the return would be on or after the 31st May and getting spun a load of fluff by someone who doesn’t know their ar+e from their elbow. Money just in. All good.
Just had my capital return from Halifax 8pm,no did I as yet
Jnkeir - "So I’ve got my div and the cash distribution both through now, am I right in thinking I’m waiting for B shares now? Or did that cash distribution technically the B shares and I have to reinvest them ?"
The cash distribution is a result of the automatic redemption of the B shares (which happened yesterday). You can forget about the B shares now and just use the cash as you will.
Popeye.
You can always transfer when you know a dividend has been received and not wait for HL to do it for you "within 10 days"
I transferred mine upon receipt today.
Warthog4 - Thank you for that. I've now transferred it on my wife's account and mine. HL are a bit crafty, they state that I had requested it to be held on account and therefore was unavailable to invest until 10 days after of the following month! Thank you ever so much for explaining, it's much appreciated. Atb Popeye.
I assume the funds haven’t fully cleared
Go into "Cash" then "Income & loyalty bonus" and transfer it to your Capital Account.
Although my Aviva dividend is showing on my HL account, it isn't showing as available to invest? Does anyone know how to change this? The return of cash from my "B" shares was available to invest immediately. Any help much appreciated, as I would like to invest the dividend as well for additional Aviva shares.
Pete, I'm clearly going to have to change my surname to Aadvark; the capital retun didn't appear in my ii account until after 12:30am, by which time I'd missed the opportunity early doors to buy sub-410p. It would appear that ii's chipmunks aren't automated and customer accounts are being updated manually in alphabetical order ;-)
Chatting online with the Halifax and got the stock reply “The shares have been consolidated and the cash rebate is due on or after the 31st :)”
Not sure the agent was fully engaged or fully aware of what was going on. Amazing the time difference with different companies for divi’s and the return of capital.
Halifax told me 31st
