SeisNav,
I assume any new mine will be some time away. I'm hoping the lack of mining licence is to allow exploration to continue without pressure to be seen to be mining. I don't think ARCM would have relinquished a licence without firm commitments and NVS would have had to divulge the licence had been revoked if that were the case. The size of the new survey screams AA scale (thanks for previous link). I think we are selling Handa rather than a JV but I haven't got all the pieces of the jigsaw to fit yet.
Thanks Ella, yes that’s the same date currently assigned to the Handa license, I guess that will be updated at some point, unless they plan to apply for a large scale mining license for the whole area...
Hi SeisNav,
The original Zamsort LEL was granted on 10/9/2014.
I noticed that the dates for the Handa license are now from 2014-2024 so I guess these were the dates for the Kalaba mining license.
Thoughts regarding the Kalaba mining license removal.
I think the small scale mining license (8248-HQ-SML) at Kalaba expired in 2024. With the new Handa subsidiary it may now be possible to create new and / or larger mining licenses over the area with a fresh 10 year term. Very helpful with a scoping study pending release soon.
Someone is buying in lots of thousands or 5 figures of "£"

OK thanks a lot.
I think you're referring to the 40kg that was sent for assessment. This will be for the scoping study and I doubt something that will be announced separately.
That was to feed into the scoping study. They never said that would be released.
What happened to the lab results which we told were due in a few days time?
Done.
Ive just set my telegram username to same as LSE name Orowe21. Cheers

Do you have a telegram username?
That's what I thought at the time, hence my query if there had been any specific mention of Kalaba in th IC. I couldn't remember any mention of Kalaba. Any one know how chief areas are divided up in Zambia?
In the IC Nick referred to the Cheyeza plant (as opposed to Kalaba),so I wonder if mining license has/or will shift ?
I think we will see a deal fairly soon, assuming the Kalaba licence has been relinquushed as part if the deal. We wouldn't have done that until deal was signed (and almost delivered). That's my thought anyway, although the SP doesn't appear to agree that a good deal is about to be delivered.
How does one get added to the telegram group?
Tweet seems to be just same as what's been discussed here tbh.....
But it's clearly housekeeping ahead of the deal, in the event that AA accept the terms NvS has put forward and a deal is executed.

Not got Telegr@m
Interesting tweet from bradley@hierarch343 on kalaba licence.
Yeah not worried. Have to wait and see what picture the Jigsaw pieces make when we're told.
I have seen worrying licence situations in Zambia in the past. I'm not concerned about these changes at the moment as the area has been moved under Handa and I'm pretty convinced that wouldn't have happened if the licences had been revoked. I assume (possibly incorrectly) that Kalaba is too smalll for AA and that relinquishing the minimg licence will mean no pressure to be seen to be mining the resource in the next year. All speculation of course.
Hmmmmm
