I have been chasing up my broker for the AGM papers. Does anyone know the process (I know that we need to get legal authorisation for ARC to be able to pay dividends) and if there is any indication of what sort of dividends we may get ? The face value of the share is 0.1p, so even a 10% dividend would be 0.01p...not much, but a very good start given our share price is still in the region of 0.22p. Any mention of share consolidation ? TIA
Yep. I am assuming so on divis. Given they said dependent on reclassification on reserves. The reclassification is happening. So my guess divis will follow.
Thanks for the update..I am yet to receive the AGM papers. This may explain the sudden flurry of big trades following the Chairman's buy yesterday. If "dividends on the way", this is going to launch big time by ARC standards :) About time too and maybe we will see early 0.03p range for starters then ?
Had me AGM papers in. Liked the reclassification of premium account. Looks like divis on the way. Now directors buys. Looking good here...
Yesterday director buy. Today more? good news coming..
I agree that a dividend would be nice, unless it slowed capital growth.
A penny may be a stretch too far given its current revenues and profitability, but 0.4p or thereabouts is realistic. IMHO. The recent announcement about intent to seek legal authorisation so that dividends can be paid is very welcome. We are now in sustainable profit, no debt and cash of over £1m. I guess a 10:1 consolidation (which would mean a share price of 2p) followed by a maiden dividend of 0.1p per consolidated share will offer a conservative start with room for a progressive dividend as revenues move upwards. However, it may so happen that to our surprise - unexpected shareholder value may be unlocked by a predatory bid given our low market cap.
Was hoping this would go to a penny, guess I will have to find something to fill the time until it does.
Not sure what you are talking about in ref to VAL as they had a share consolidation so don't understand what you mean when you said that 1k became 304k
Hi V, obviously some bad times on AIM. However, if last May ( say 11 weeks ago), you had taken out a small punt on VAL at .21p, by the middle of the month ( following good news), a £1k investment would have been worth, on paper, £304K. I only mention this because it's a share you comment on. Now, since I did not own any shares ( unfortunately), I have no idea in what volume one could sell it. It wou;d have to be a fool who did not attempt to sell at least 50%. Now, on the other hand, if one had bought after the news, and paid about 60p, things are not so good with the price now at 33p. Timing is everything. There are plenty of these examples on AIM. Choose wisely. Shorts. Plenty of on-line brokers deal in CFD's. I use Galvan as a broker, and it uses IG), Simply deposit some cash, give some personal details ( required for anti-money laundering), and tell broker ( or do it on-line) co. you want to short ( 90% of my trades are long, being more optomistic than you) , and broker will tell you the deposit you have to pay on the margin call.. There are many cos. that you cannot short ( or long) because of poor liquidity in market, and a lot of AIM shares come under this category. Be v v v careful, and choose wisely. the worst downside on a long is the sp hitting 0 and/or B/K. if one has a £5K ( sometimes the minimum) position, on AIM the deposit may be 25% and if hitting 0 ( without a stop loss) one loses the deposit and a further £3750, making a total of £5K loss. If short, there in no max loss ( unless a stop loss in place), since a share may skyrocket ( eg VAL), and losses could be enormous theoretically. Although in practice the broker will sell when your deposit has gone ( if it can?). On a positive note, you are correct in as much it is far easier to find crap cos. on AIM, rather than good ones. Have a gander at CRU, but do your own research, and remember, multibaggers are few and far between, and much better to seek solid cos, with the potential to gain 10-20% pa, and they will make you £millions in 20 years of investing. All in MHO of course, and GL
Good news makes shares go DOWN No news makes shares go DOWN Bad news makes shares go DOWN FASTER Motto - SHORT (Someone teach me how) OUCH
Came across this one trawling thru this am's rns's. No debt, revenue stream, makes profits, in a growing market ( much competition, but that equates of size of market), formality of getting share premium a/c credit cancelled in High Court - what's not to like, especially in AIM. I appreciate some of you holders who have been here for some time will have plenty to 'not like', especially if buying 4 years ago. On the other hand, must be lots of you who bought in at 0.07 or better, and seen good returns. Good contract wins are hard to get, and I would expect long periods of silence, but with a P/E <10 any decent wins will produce immediate northwards sp. I will have a little nibble at this one, All in MHO of course, and GL to all.
"...the lead time to a sale continues to be unpredictable" If they put out some positive news more often, like when a lead converts into a sale, the SP might actually go somewhere.
solid results, cash in hand, able to fund r&d via cash, repeat business, contract growth and revenue and now proftiable! I especially like changing intention to apply to court to redesignate reserves status to facilitate divis, that's confidence! holding onto my tickets here.

ARC have kindly sent me the Finncap research note - unable to post here due to size restriction. Please check the other thread if interested....as I have posted excerpts there.
Target 0.27p for starters....but I have not been able to get hold of the document as yet
Interesting to note that the price moved on a 750k buy over 10%.....let's see if that holds and price improves :)
Hi Evelyn ! Unfortunately you are not going to make much at all after selling the shares and paying the brokerage. Maybe about £27.50 if you are lucky. You may be better off leaving them and seeing what happens as you been holding since 2001.Good luck :)
How can I sell my ARCONTECH SHARES? Evelyn
I have 20, 000 ordinary shares of.1p each fully paid. It was bought in 2001. Can you tell me the value now. Evelyn
Let us hope the strong rhetoric by Mark Carney at Mansion House translates into more / new business for us with institutions scrambling to buy our products....a couple of 1m buys yesterday, but volumes still remain low ( as usual).
