202000 buy
Cloud clearing in all areas ARBB, sunshine all the way...well at least for today. Luck to all.
Maybe these low volumes won't help to narrow the HUGE spread. A tasty February trading statement with a dash of special divi may do the trick. Back to sleep. GL out there.
and Renaissance supply problems pulling on this, otherwise an improving picture https://www.investegate.co.uk/arbuthnot-banking--arbb-/rns/third-quarter-trading-update/202110200700065932P/ GL all
How about they take the proceeds from the Secure Trust share sale and buy back (and cancel) their own shares? Would arbitrage the recent share price fortunes of each bank, and ease the dividend issue
Good luck guitar, hope this does well for us both. Added a few more this morning so it's all about austerity this weekend. atb
Wilks, I do hope so! I've been in ARBB since 2017 I think it was with a small holding at 1470p, so I've got a way to go yet! There's been a few divis along the way.
My reading of ARBB though is that it has huge potential. It's solid with its deposits easily exceeding its loans, the defaults are relatively well managed (incl. Boris Becker!), and they seem to have a team of high-quality bankers! My concern is whether the profits from using our capital will be substantially returned to shareholders or will be siphoned off by the workforce! There has to be a balance.
I obviously invested well before Covid took its toll and will probably hang around to give them time to get themselves sorted. It is a nice bijou bank that might hit a sweet spot in a few years' time. It's never going to be a spectacular investment for me with a high entry point but I can live in hope.

quite spectacular for bijou bank ARBB: I couldn't quite catch the lows pre xmas but happy enough with an early February entry. Little debt, assets through the roof was an initial attraction, copious director deals in January decided it. Could be more than an ok year for Sir H. and the team, although all imho, dyor etc. GL holders, spectators.
Why the huge drop?
how will brexit affect us any ideas?
not a lot going on
Very little change since this time last year.
Just bought in today. Seems to be a decent company with a lot of cash on its hands. Like the regularity of the dividends too.
is that correct ? HL have stated its ex dividend today ? so does that mean I have until end of today to buy to receive the dividend ?
If you get in today, you get the dividend too!!
seems a good buy in price ?
to build in the special dividend into the SP
a massive drop today
Hi All, Fairly new to trading but wanted to understand when you need to own arbb shares to qualify for the divi payout. Am i right in thinking this needs to be 3 days before the register date (21st Oct) therefore 18th Oct? if anyone can clear this up would be much help Thanks
its time for another rise-been stable since 350 to 1300. and admin been clearing out previous posts on this stock. :-)
I was an executor for a deceased estate in 2014. We were granted Business Property Relief by HMRC on the ARBB shares so that no IHT was paid on that holding.
Does anyone know if ARBB qualifies for Business Property Relief (BPR) and thus is exempt from inheritance tax?
and on stb sister ship :_))
http://www.investegate.co.uk/arbuthnot-banking--arbb-/rns/agm-statement/201505141523502355N/ its all good :-) highest paid ever although volumes poor and spread too wide
