A bit of a let-down that every other miner is up heavily today (e.g. HIVE: +11%, HUT: +10%,...), while ARB is down. Not spreading FUD, just stating facts. Personally I'm holding a half-sized ARB position; am holding more in RIOT and MARA. Will adjust if I see decent volumes.
Will no doubt attract day traders, and a lot of us on here have been holding since 2020 and before that. but the more institutional investors we have to steady the ship, the better.
@Money: " the more instutional investment we have the better, as currently too many private investors."
The average holding time for RIOT is about 5 days. Our holding time is much longer, but I expect it to drop significantly once on NASDAQ. We're going to attract day-traders like flies to dogshi*... that's fine by me, the more liquidity the better.
OK, wasn't having a pop as such, but think we should go in to tomorrow with a level-head.
I'm extremely bullish on Argo and Bitcoin, and believe any drops will be short term before the true growth phase starts. let the small profit sellers do their thing early on, and let the institutions/funds mop up those shares. the more instutional investment we have the better, as currently too many private investors.
"Money", the "P" is for an oxymoronic pessimistic optimist! If I were 5 years or so younger I'd be more patient. I have absolute faith in PW but loathe the undercurrent of manipulation of the SP. Auction close down to 157p FFS, why? I would love to see folk flogging shares at these levels well and truly sorted. I hope, indeed believe, tomorrow, we become a far less easy target for those years of being shorted and shafted. I suspect by month's end next week we will all be much better off and served as shareholders of this excellent business. Ignition at last!
WE just need bitcoin to play ball, then any doubt where the share price is going will be over.
Onwards and upwards fellow Argonauts
Not sure why people assume that joining the Nasdaq will automatically hike the SP...
On many occasions I have witnessed quite the reverse.
Over the long term I do think it will be a benefit to the company.
@Poptimist - no offence, and I respect you for being a long term holder, but at times I think you should change your name to Pessimist.
I'm with you on that pop, got my hopes up when sp reached £1.73, even when it stayed steady when bitcoin dropped, but I think a lot of us have made NASDAQ into some sort of mystical holy grail and right now I have a feeling in the pit of my stomach that says I'm gonna be disappointed.....but I guess that's where the old adage "hope for the best but prepare for the worst" comes into play. Trying to stay neutral on this and just let it play out long term
I tried so hard not to be excited and failed dismally. Now feeling disappointed over the lack lustre week for our SP and bitcoin sat in the doldrums. $100,00 by year end. At this rate we'll be lucky to keep $40k. Prove me wrong but tomorrow isn't giving me as much hope as I to date had expected. GLA deserving.
Just had another little cheeky top up, 7,291 at 1.62....well happy!!
Got excited, had a notification pop on my phone saying Argo had moved by ~20%. Obviously wasn't the case when i checked the price
yes

was it stop loss hunt or glitch?
got excited for all of 10 secs :)
I bought this as a kind of bitcoin tracker...it now seems to be holding on its own after America started talking about shorters etc.
Fun stock to own.
I saw a brief blip on HL price of +50p ish for a few seconds shortly after open..... put it down to a random spike, but possible it might have triggered a couple of Fill orders somewhere?
Saw 202p as the daily high on Google’s chart but its since reverted back to 169.75p. Thought it must’ve been a glitch.
yes, there was one

Anyone else notice a couple of 3000 trades go through this morning at £2.02?
