Who do you think would make the takeover? A foreign capital markets company, or a domestic takeover?
Writeup on Aquis for someone without knowledge on the company - https://southseastocks.substack.com/p/aquis-exchange-plc-europes-stealthy
Good company but relatively unloved by investors (at the moment). I first invested 3 years ago but have seen my investment slowly but surely diminish - a good time to invest imo, far more upside than downside plus an outside bet for a takeover
I have taken a small position here today (tho’ showing as a sell) following a decent RNS. Revenue, profit & cash all up.
It has been on my watchlist for a while. An attractive P/E and the key factor, a glut of directors’ buys over the past year.
my thoughts are where the **** is their cto?
he left in april 2023, they are a trading platform without a cto lol, that's ridiculous. i've emailed them.
Thoughts on results?

surely a cracking buy at 520, what does everyone know that I dont? trading update out very soon
The MOATs on this stocks are huge (which also explains the valuations) but they continue to grapple market share. 10x bagger.

Aquis exchange just rose to a new record market share in July: 6.2%. Thanks to the subscription model there should be sustained momentum going forward (ie clients should give aquis more and more orders as there is no incremental cost)

Hey thanks for the reply itsawrap - appreciate it - going to have another look at it today not bought in yet was looking for a pullback. All the best :)
I have a modest holding as I think there's still time to join the party, current mcap £186m which I think is modestly over priced based on the recent newsflow but undervalued based on what I perceive as tremendous potential (does that make sense?). My feeling is this will be a £1bn company with 5 years, possibly sooner. I also think aquis will be a prime takeover target in the next few years. Hardly anyone talking about this company here or on advn, I think that will change.
I was interested in these shares but worried that I am too late to the party, do people familiar with this stock think that there is still a bit of upside to go? Thanks
Shares now difficult to buy. Always a good sign but frustrating.
from last week:
Canaccord Genuity started coverage of Aquis Exchange at a 'buy', setting a target price of 1,047.0p per share.
Analysts at the Canadian broker labelled the firm a 'game changer' in the market exchange space, thanks to its focus on "price competitiveness, quality, transparency and accessibility driven by market-leading technology." That, they argued, should support its "significant" growth potential after a 2020 that saw the exchange "come of age" with the acquisition of NEX Exchange, which was afterwards rebranded to Aquis Stock Exchange. On their estimates, the exchange operator's revenues were set to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 28% between 2020-22, with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation seen 91% higher over the same timeframe.
I have been invested here since the start. Sold a few when they were above 6 pounds but in this for long term. Low overheads and now ready to move to the next stage of potential rapid growth and strong profits
very encouraging, this company will do very well in the next few years
