Lol different companies...!
well why would they talk about that
H1 Results are good, but not a word about the price-fixing investigation.
Alliance Healthcare no link with Alliance Pharma.
So no denial needed! My mistake. ??
winnings1,
You may be right.

Another denial on its way?
I do not like the long delay in an outcome/conclusion re the price fixing investigation.
Indeed there being no mention at all of progress on that score in the Trading Update makes me
feel somewhat uncomfortable. If APH were absolutely clean in all respects, then APH
should by now have been formally removed from the investigation, IMHO.
Today's Trading Update is very robust and outlook appears extremely positive. This may well boost the
share price significantly.
Despite APH's very assuring statement on the price fixing investigation, I now somehow fear there might just be something ominous for coming out of the investigation which could have an adverse affect on APH's reputation.
Why should APH out-licence a niche medicine, the very thing (direct sales of niche-medicines) APH's specializes in?
If nothing at all was wrong, then the investigation into APH's connection would be over and done with in a few days,
not weeks or months. Sorry, if I sound negative, I am suspicious by nature, but at times it has served me well. I do hope I am wrong here.
You could be right Winnings. But it's just gone ex divvi so this small drop was to be expected to be fair.
Based on fundamentals, APH shares ought to be trading in region of 100p, not in region of current low price of 70p-75p. IMHO.
Happy days.
That seems a lot. Something cooking maybe?
Interest in the pharmaceutical sector over the years, but after stumbling on this one recently, I think this one has got great growth potential over the next few years.
I originally bought 1000 a couple of weeks ago as a small punt, but going over the last trading update again recently I can see potential increased market share gain over the course of time.
So much so I added another 500 shares in here today, May well add further at a later stage of I'm right.
Target price of 115 is not out of the ordinary, but could take a year or more to get there though. My target price for the short term is 90p, although I won't be selling at that.
Agreed. Trouble is, they seldom are.
Hopefully they are right
A nice boost for profits once This is established there.
In fact I may well add via dividends from elsewhere as & when. At some point. Will see how things progress
Here (1000 shares) today after reading the rns. It made for a good read IMO. Not really heard of its brands, but Very little debt, seemingly good growth plans & potential, good results posted and a small dividend. What's not to like? A good growth potential here long term. May well top up at a later stage of all goes well.
Focus on the underlying profit, the underlying EPS, that way it becomes clear that the shares are undervalued.
Shares of a profitable company operating in the medicines field deserve to trade on a high PE-Ratio. APH shares are, as yet, trading on a low PE-ratio, that is bound to change, IMHO.
Hope not.
Down probably.
On the face of it. Just bought 1000 shares as a small punt. Let's see how we go.
I don't quite understand the results and suspect there's some creative accounting going on. Revenue is rising but profits are NOT rising plus there is more debt. It is noticable that the highlights don't say profit is increasing and just talk of revenue.
The upgrade is either because others don't understand the figures either and have just looked at the gross profit, or 'the market' sees good growth prospects. I more subscribe to the latter and despite what I've said above feel the company is undervalued.
Once again, Good Results (see RNS). T/O Rising, Profit Rising, Product Range Rising, Dividend Rising.
Sound and Safe for long term hold, IMHO.
