Jacquibic I was watching "Get back" you know the new Beatles films last night (brilliant btw) and Paul said "John, you're too loud in my headphones" and John said "Leave the group then Paul if it's too loud" "Leave the group"
Please all of us, just leave the group! Americanisms are here, but they are not good. The path of the righteous man etc etc
Gonzo, I also cannot wrap my head around “my bad” but I thought it would get your evening off to a stimulated start
Gotta love anyone in England who says "my bad" ag ag ag, god it's embarrassing just being alive today eh?
Sorry Gonzo my bad!
btw, Pheonix is exactly correct in that there is no money to be made in the profit of white goods. As he said, they have always made their money on the warranties. Take a closer look at where the money goes.
Jacquibic, not sure of the meaning of your post? maybe elaborate? One guy was trying to state that if Odey have invested in AO then it must be a sound investment, I was merely pointing out that Odey made a substantial investment in Sirius which was a dead duck. So what's your point Stanley knife?
So you think the business is only worth £92 million, haha give over you numpty, go buy some meme coins or summat.
I don't know if Odey is stupid or not, what I do know from personal experience is there is no money to be made either selling the products or delivering the products and that's a fact!
As I said the shares maybe worth a punt at 20p.
Gonzo, not sure who’s the sharpest tool in the box you or the other 2….after your extensive research that was your best!
Well they did buy a lot of Sirius minerals. That wasn't a great move eh.
Hi Phoenix and Yuri, investment firm Odey bought a 10% stake in AO 3 days ago, Odey are now the 3rd largest single stake holder behind Camelot and JR, YOU HAVE BOTH highlighted that this stock is outrageously overpriced…..are Odey completely stupid?
I used to work in the domestic appliance industry and believe me the margins achievable on the products were terrible, single digits at best. In addition there is no profit in delivering the products first off and any returns scupper any profit from multiple sales. The only money to be made selling domestic appliances is on repair/replacement insurances & why buy one of those when you can buy a new machine cheaper than paying a policy for 5 years? Even at 95p these shares are imo are overvalued, at 20p they just might be worth a punt ?
Lol
I don’t see it as bad as that
Plenty of upside in my opinion
Could easy re-trace to £2, which if your buying / owning
at these levels is a good ROI
I’m in, nothing massive but got my BE to £1.01
(Sold some last week At 1.10 by a stroke of good luck to
buy travel , they since recovered so sold and buy these at 97p)
Yuri.F it’s a blessing you are not invested in this stock then but thanks for stumbling into this chat and potentially saving thousands of investors their hard earned cash with your insight x
What's the point of comparing to whatever it was some time ago?
It's rather about fundamentals. Valued at close to half billions m-cap
while having only 90mil equity left
(which is easily swallowed by virtual goodwill, non-existent intangibles
and impairments plus write-off of illiquid stock)
They hardly managed to get 3 consequent profitable semesters, otherwise it's losses all around
(and last reports shows falling below break-even point again)
Even looking at those 3 profitable semesters it's hardly worth one-third of current valuation.
Not to mention absence of sustainability in performance, high negatively-skewed volatility, very risky and way overvalued.
So yes, you're right, nothing fundamentally has changed on a company side since previous announcement, sp just converges closer to it's intrinsic value.
Looking at the price movements over the last few days and specifically the buys compared to sells it would not surprise me if this company gets taken over shortly as the price is so low compared to a few months ago and although they issued figures recently nothing had changed from the previous announcement when the shares were so much higher
