I have been buying too! Great momentum in the business going into this year, I can see it doing well and who doesn't like to help the animals :)
Yes it’s looking like there getting slowly back on track to growing the business again.Looking like this will be good long term investment so i added another 1000 at £2.35 today.
Interesting to see ANP have entered the Dog food sector and fish/ shrimp farm sector. Could be big upside in these markets...
Mastercube®, our 100% natural pellet binder, has been adopted by a European dog food manufacturer following extensive factory trials over a long period. Our sales team are cognisant that there are other similar opportunities in this sector and are actively pursuing these. We were also pleased to receive a European Union complementary feed license through our Irish subsidiary which now means we can market products such as Orego-Stim® liquid directly to vet practises in the region.
And...
Anpario's original technology was a novel chemosensory stimulant for fish and crustacea which enhanced palatability improving the uptake of aquafeed, reducing waste, and thereby helping to protect the aquatic environment. In addition to improving the productivity and financial returns for fish farmers it also has the benefit of allowing more sustainable forms of protein to be used thereby reducing the reliance on fishmeal sourced from wild fish stocks to support aquaculture production.
This technology was originally branded as Aquatice® but commercialisation was halted about ten years ago due to several factors, one being that at the time fish meal was still being included in formulations in high quantities and therefore palatability was not so much of an issue. Secondly, Aquatice® was only available in liquid form which means it needed to be applied at farm level rather than in the feed which is a much simpler method of delivery. In short, we believe the Aquatice® technology was before its time and now with the industry focused on using sustainable feeds such as vegetable or insect-based protein that there is a potential opportunity for Aquatice® to be commercialised. During the last year we therefore developed a powder version for use in feed and adjusted the formulation to suit current regulations. A shrimp trial is planned for later in the year with a global aquafeed producer.
Further to my previous message I note the house broker, Shore Capital, has issued an update today rating Anpario as a recovery play, trading at a 50% discount to their 5 year average EV/EBITDA and have upgraded their 2024 FC by +12% (EBITDA) and +17% (adjusted EBIT).
I suspect the "huge upgrade" to eps which "turnkey17" mentions is partly due to the 20% stock buy back which is only now, and slowly, starting to be recognised by the market, as well as the more favourable forecast trading environment going forward.
Finally, my last word here as I don't post often, I like Anpario as they significantly benefit for the UK's patent box on qualifying worldwide revenue. The benefit a fixed 10% Corporation Tax rate on sales of one of their biggest products, Orego-Stim, and is now extended to their toxin binders. They don't appear to give a breakdown of total global revenue from these products, but from a little research I estimate it probably falls between 30% and 40% and growing. Thus revenue uplift has an outsized bottom line impact.
The 2023 results are no surprise, as guided and are the reason the stock price halved. However I am optimistic given the Q4 and forward commentary. It also appears that the buy back of 20% of the stock is not yet recognised by the market whilst I am positively surprised that despite the buy back their cash position is nearly recouped. Their trading outlook, cash position, and a 4%+ dividend, justifies my stock purchases over the last few months which I am happy to tuck away.
Huge upgrades. 2025 estimate is 19.6 pence. Only 12.1 times now and 12.8m GBP of net cash forecast.
Yes another positive statement today took advantage of the recent drop yesterday so bought another 1000 shares at £2.24 just below there tender offer.Good luck .
Me12345 "Think you will see steady return to revenue growth and profits going forward"
Just read the salient (hopefully I got them all) bits of the finals; and it appears you are spot on. The numbers are far from great but their comments about Q4 & the star of this year suggest good times are returning. I expect the market in its current negative mind set to send the sp down today in response to the numbers, but I hope things should slowly recover thereafter, and in 3 months when they update us again I'm optimistic that we'll start to see a real recovery.
Well that sp recovery did not last long . anyone know why the recent crash in the sp from an already low valuation.
Think you will see stead return to revenue growth and profits going forward taken longer for there markets to start to recover and get inflation costs under control. But have been happy with last 2 updates so back in today bottom draw not expecting fire works just stead progress.
Yes, when ever a company says profits will be ahead of expectations it's good news. I'm a bit concerned that turnover is not going up. The world's population is for ever increasing, therefore the amount of food consumed is going up. As nations get wealthier they eat more meat, so the amount of meat being eaten in going up. One would expect that normal trading for ANP should see sales going up. But it seems that profits are increasing through selling more profitable products, and tightening the belts.
Seems now as if they are on the long road to recovery !
The Chancellor announced lots of things, one was investing in and industrial hub in the East Midlands. I confess I've not researched it very much, but could this benefit Anpario?
If anyone wants to go to the AGM & stay overnight before hand - I have a room you can have, I got so excited about the AGM, tour and meet the directors that I wrote to ask if I could attend then found a hotel for the previous night (Best Western next to an M1 Junction) and booked it and paid for it with reduction for no cancellation, then I realised I had tickets for the Ashes Test at Lords the same day! So I won't be going to the AGM and there is a paid for hotel room perfect for anyone wanting to attend.
If anyone is interested, reply on this discussion board & I'll give you my email address.
This sounds to me as if they are trying to get more shareholder friendly. If I can make it I'll be there.
Looks interesting, and certainly a way of getting the share price back up a bit. As an existing holder (so not affected if the record date for the offer is already gone) with a guaranteed sell price of 225, and still able to buy under 215, I've just bought a few more. It may only lead to a 5% gain, but I'd be happy if a bank would give me 5% guaranteed for 3 months.
Seems to be a falling knife and hard to catch bottoms but this seemed good entry point to buy into and increase on up coming dividend time thinks longer term will come come good and be seen as a great buying opportunity.Good luck all
Many congratulations to all the team at Anpario on this award for sustainable enterprise.
yes that director buy seems to have restored some confidence. But things are still going to be tough for a while - end users are struggling with rising costs, let's hope the next trading statement will be more positive about the future.
Nice to see Anp and Anic side by side amongst the top risers again
Lotta life left in this old cat! I suppose there will
Be some profit taking at some point, but I can’t see any reason not to get back to £4 if their market rebounds in the second half as forecast Edwards obviously abounds with confidence
Nice to see a good buy from a director
Absolutely not. Late reported trade from 8.30 a.m. which in all probability started the rise. I would be amazed if you can buy at £1.86 in the morning. Will be ready and waiting.

Almost all the news today was flagged in the January update. Massive overreaction today. A weak start to the year but a diversified profitable business with a good cash balance, and dividend up. Incredible resilience demonstrated with sales value actually flat. Cash lower, as guided, but only due to prudent inventory build of key inputs.
