Funding news on the way hopefully.
It was perhaps quite a bullish move on the face of it to invest in Solar Foods, €3m of existing funds including a small sum from the Mellon facility, into this brand new investment.
The rationale behind the proposed de-listing was perceived problems raising funding without private equity, and so eg dilution in the existing investee companies in their equity raises ANIC couldn’t then participate in. Therefore you’d perhaps expect the bod to be acting cautiously and defensively for now, and preserve cash, and only use it to avoid dilution in existing investments, rather than making new investments. So does the Solar investment indicate the bod are confident long term funding is now imminent?
About to pop? Imo ANIC has to prove itself fundable and funded on reasonable terms first, even if NAV improves.
Surely tempting. Trading at 52week low, confirmation staying on aim, Jim Mellon backing...
Looks like they've just widened the spread, low volume, too early to call this.
Here we go. I did say :)
Rosewell, ITM is a very sore point with me having researched and added it to my watchlist I got distracted by other opportunities and didn't buy. Not making that mistake here though!
This will be a very slow burner but it will develop its own momentum. It has similarities to ITM. A big player in a very small current market where the potential market is huge. A product that meets a huge need because it can't be business as usual. 1-2 years ago, ITM was 14p, and now .....
JM actually understands the science and is in comfort zone, less so than with MFX.
I hate to be a naysayer, but I do not think any stock price manipulation is taking place. I rather think that the market maker(s) had to purchase a large number of shares after the board announced that the were thinking of taking the company private. Now, they want to get rid of those shares and therefore keep the stock price at a discount relative to the last reported net asset value (NAV). Once they have sold off their surplus - and this could be fairly soon given the volumes traded - I expect that they raise the price to parity or even a premium to NAV.
The reasoning above rests on my hopefully correct understanding that all trades in AIM take place to/from a market maker. This is in contrast to most other stock markets in which shares can sold/bough directly between shareholders without an intermediate.
As far as the sp goes it's pure manipulation. Anyone remember bmn. Buy after buy no movement.. Then one day they let it go... Keep buying.
I find it weird that we have not seen any fluctuation in price over the last 3-4 months. I have been watching the bugs and sells for whatever that means and it is constantly buys far outweighing the sells. I am struggling to understand as to why this share is stuck at 5p it is worth at least double that. If anyone of it’s single investments take off this share price will fly surely? Am I correct in saying that vitrolabs are realising their products at the end of this year/ start of next?
I’d like to think ANIC and its backers are better than some AIM companies. The metatheme is a good one, and I believe the bod is a good one, and will make good investment decisions. Already are imo.
I think the key here is funding. Getting a large comprehensive package to see us right for the medium/long term, after the temporary Jim Mellon facility (we’re already nearly half way through the 6 mth term). Maybe we’ll get a cornerstone II aboard, to stump up a large cash pile, and some other investors and facilities to give financial muscle, agility and flexibility. That’s what’s needed here. We’ve had some comfort that financing proposals won’t be at less than an implied 6p NAV, but we need to see the funding now, the sooner the better, or the jitters might set in. Jim Mellon or another might give another temporary facility on reasonable terms, if it’s not sorted by Christmas. They should do, if ANIC is as good as it’s been touted by…er…Jim Mellon.
Hi guys, I have been invested in agronomics for a while now and like many of you I am invested here for both financial reasons and environmental reasons. I have looked into the portfolio and it looks impressive. I am just curious as to what others thoughts are, AIM is a dodgy place full of people filling their pockets for very little work and screwing share holders over. I for one have already lost a lot of trust after seeing that they want to take the company private. What are people’s thoughts on accounts, prospects, and outlook over the coming weeks months and years?
