Makes sense, a tweet would help
I thing you’ve been sniffing gas.go back to bed.
Who started that rumour ,,,,,Lucan I bet.
I think GavinM is just quoting our latest member of the ramping brainless squad - Lemonleaf.
Stockbob, natural gas news article states that the US could have an energy crunch whist helping alies this winter.
Not a chance
Whatever.
Gavin m who are your sources ?
It wouldn’t surprise me uk are in a right pickle coke winter
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/natural-gas-demand-outpaces-production-160000636.html Now take notice of my 1st July Q&A about upgrading the compressors to protect against any gas pressure drop, you will find it very interesting with further 2023 sidetracks in my other Q&A.
Sources are stating Angus are in discussion over storage at SFB with both Shell and the UK Government
My prediction is in line with the companies, that because the two existing wells have been shut in, there has been a large pressure build up since 2017. And that for the first six months production will comfortably beat predicted production rates. Mean while the sidetrack will kick in producing even more gas. Yes it is true much to HITS annoyance I am a genuine share holder . That can only annoye HITS as she /he isn't . BV has said HITS sold out at 1p lol. Oh dear! Well that would explain the deramping and criticism of those like me who hold for gold wouldn't it.
And yes I do think the government are in talks with Angus over the 100% license held at Saltfleetby where the government gave planning permission to store 800 million cubic metres of gas !!!
HITS you think it is not feasible to use Saltfleetby as Gas storage. If so why did the Government approve it in 2010 for exactly that. I am not saying it will happen while I am in Angus but in the future it could happen if things get really bad with Gas Shortages.
What's currently happening?
The week old ID Lemonleaf - a "genuine investor and "brand new" to this BB (shyeah right) - seems ro have decided that, because his ramptastic predictions of how much money ANGS is going to earn PIs by getting gas out of Saltfleetby are looking more ludicrous each day...
...he's having to switch horses and is now doing his best to convince anyone dumb enough to listen that ANGS will make them a fortune by putting gas into Saltfleetby instead.
Old story yes 2010. But the point is Angus have permission to store gas at Saltfleetby for exactly the same storage space of. as Centrica have. 800 million cubic metres of gas . And Centrica is being backed by Government money ;)
"The main reason we could return Rough is that we would increase its capacity in phases, ahead of each winter, so that we can carry out any required work to allow capacity to be increased safely.”
The approach has now been signed off by HSE, according to The Telegraph.
It added that the company is thought to be aiming for Rough to build up around 800 million cubic metres of gas for this winter and 1.7bn for the next."
Bit of a old story, what's currently happening??
Any still think the Government are not talking to Angus?
Oh I think they are.
The facility will provide up to 800 million cubic metres of storage and boost the UK's storage capacity by 15%.
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-11241347
Wingas Storage will convert an onshore gas field at Saltfleetby into an underground storage facility.
The proposal was approved by the government after a public inquiry.
Some residents of Grimoldby, a village near the site, opposed the plan saying it would create too much traffic.
The facility will provide up to 800 million cubic metres of storage and boost the UK's storage capacity by 15%.
Energy minister Charles Hendry said: "This project will provide the UK with new and much-needed gas storage.
"As the UK becomes increasingly dependent on imported gas, this government has made it a priority to ensure secure gas supplies."
Angus can only hold 90 bfc storage, think an error there. But nice point.
Just sent it to my local MP and asked him to forward my email.
I have been reading up on Gas storage fore the UK and I have read that Centrica are about to open their Rough Gas field for storage that could store up to 100 million(bcf) at a cost of 2 billion pounds. I hold shares in a company called Angus Energy who hold the License to the biggest onshore Gas field that held 90(bcf) in it’s hay day, it did receive permission in 2010 to be used as a Gas storage field I am not sure if this as lapsed but surely this being an onshore Gas Field it would also warrant being considered as a Gas storage facility for the UK and I would think it would not cost 2 billion pounds to make it so. Being that it was 12 years ago that it received permission from the government for Gas storage was given I thought I would bring it to your attention. I would be very grateful if you could have a word or forward this email to Kwasi Kwarteng about the matter. I tried to email the said person but was told I needed to be a constituent or I would not receive a reply to my email and that I needed to write to my own MP. I know I said I own shares in Angus Energy but that is not why I am emailing you. This country as billions and billions(bcf) of Gas and we should be looking at extracting it, and also storing it for years to come so we do not end up in the mess we now find ourselves in.

Nice one.
He knows the UK badly need has storage for the winters.
My feeling for sometime is that Shell may get involved. Ps 360phil if you don't like what I post. Do one.
