Yea it’s very difficult people seem to think as soon as JB wins the vote ( if he does) he will start buying up shares, no only when he’s approved ceo by the fca( potentiality might not happen).
And JBs has said he’s buying 1% a day, not the whole 29% in one hit ??? He will only pay up to 20p hopefully JB gives us more clarity on this.
Yes but that still means he needs approval prior to him buying
Will FCA approve him ? Yes he's been approved before but he's done himself no favors over the last few weeks/months
yea i know, but they put it like this
"CEO Vacant (pending FCA approval for Gary Jennison*. Mr. Benamor will not be automatically appointed to this role)"
as it would be Gary as CEO of Amigo ltd and James as CEO of PLC and they are two different roles they dont conflict?
im assuming needing a minimum number of FCA approved directors at one time on the Ltd company currently is one of the main things stopping them?
James Benamor
@JamesBenamor
Level 1:
Our irrevocable purchase contract is conditional on me being approved as CEO by the FCA. We’ve been clear about that.
I will not take up that position unless I am approved as CEO and as a shareholder. We do not foresee a problem with that as I have been both before.
James wants to become CEO of the holding company, for which is not needed FCA approval. There are x2 separate companies and positions.
"· Whilst Mr. Benamor would become a director of the Company, the Board has appointed Gary Jennison to the role of CEO (pending FCA approval) and has no intention of considering Mr. Benamor for the role should he be elected. "
"has no intention of considering Mr. Benamor for the role should he be elected"
if he gets voted in by the owners of the company how does that work?
Hey Itisa
Book, That;s why you know stuff
I'm watching MadMax Fury Road :)
Hey Tam
Please share
I hope like most for a better week next week re- amigo but dont count your chickens,, dont let your optimism run ahead of itself. Amigo has a way to go yet after the egm but lets keep fingers crossed, and, i dont know why some people are so focus on the 20p sp price ,thats small to what it could do in the coming weeks. lets be patient
itsagame........totaly correct and thats before aircraft but as usual the motorist is the easy target .
Based on what Tam? Gut feel or evidence based?
i thought it was mixed with urea or a chemical alternative.
hydrogen / capacitors / lithium batteries / regenerative energy will be the future long long term.
the weight and payload is terrible, if they made a van and it was around the weight of a tesla x (~2.5 ton) vs a sprinter van (~1.5 ton) im limited to 3.5 ton total i could only ~1 ton. Plus strain of weight = harder working electrical motor which can = a lower motor life. Would be all right for something like a small flower company delivery van unless but to most companies useless
and they have created so many potential issues, look at tesla everyone was locked out of their cars the other day because of a dodgy software update how is that reliable.
no doubt lithium batteries and the technology is fantastic but when you compare the recycle-ability to lead which over 90% of get easily and cheaply recycled its awful. There isnt a cost effective way of recycling it when the cells are finally depleted so the rate is near 0% (i know some people rebuild them for storage but good luck with that when they go boom).
if the government were serious the way forward is to remove all duties on green electric imports, when china wants to give you panels at less than they cost to build bite their hand off instead of charging ~42% duty on them to force you to buy them from some where like Siemens. If they took that approach 10 years ago the UK would already be near all renewable but instead anti-dumping rules cost the end user more and more again and hand billions to the same hands.
we dont need a fast revolution for a better planet, the government only need it for GDP figures and votes and "to create jobs", a slow change while making the most of what we have is a better sustainable option.
decommissioning a few Cargo ships or making them renewable would help much more, just think of the following.
"It has been estimated that just one of these container ships, the length of around six football pitches, can produce the same amount of pollution as 50 million cars. The emissions from 15 of these mega-ships match those from all the cars in the world. And if the shipping industry were a country, it would be ranked between Germany and Japan as the sixth-largest contributor to global CO2 emissions."

Government ruin most things by monetizing it and being bribed.
Rant over back to my book :)
I think COVID has but us back a bit with public transport and the like
AFC are working towards hydrogen and I don't mean the football club :)
You are bang on with the cost of egr valves etc but with ad blue it is only deionised water essentially so environmentally friendly which is a start , problem is I have a Vw crafter over 4 tonnes in weight when full so battery’s are useless and probably for quite some time , the environmental impact of mining for battery components , impact of producing an electric car , danger of crashing in one , decommissioning an electric car is something not talked about at all. Keeping cars for longer is a great point by yourself and sense too. It’s not the environmental revolution the world is really waiting for !! Hydrogen could have been better , but get public transport better , car sharing and so on would have been a better start to this all
I'm no prof when it comes to this Itisa so I bow to your knowledge :)
I’m reading an American hedge fund right now the Tim Sykes book. He’s the guy who made over a million while at college in the states. He started trading using 13k of bar mitzvah money can you believe. Only a third way thru at mo
when you take in to account the CO2 and other emissions required to source the materials and build a new car its much greener to just keep an old car on the road for another 5 years and not buy a new one, as for ad blue, i think its a total waste, they should have gone down a route of a soot tray built in to the exhaust which and allows you to empty it easily and dump it in to the trash, like on some trucks, instead of heating it up to higher temps making the molecules smaller, airborne and easier to breath in and throwing it out in to the atmosphere while spraying the newest form of pee on it
Plus costs a fortune to replace them egr valves and other gubbins when it blocks up :)
shame most dont understand the emission cost of production, and just try to get the liberal vote i guess
I thought the cost of producing green energy has fallen massively over the last few years.
Our government keeps costs up by subsidizing than as if by magic companies find a cheaper way
I remember when you could get 45p per unit paid to you from government for 20 years if you had solar installed, Cost of installation was lets say 11k average and you'd claim 20k back over 20 years.
Suddenly the Goverment pulls feed in tariff and solar companies all kick off, then suddenly you can get the same installation for around 4/5k. They also did it with wind/biomass/air and ground source pumps. It was Biomass that closed Stormont in Ireland for around 2 bloody years
Saying all this I do think we can now produce around 50% from wind farms
Busy doing charging units for next year then the infrastructure which isn’t in place and will not be for years ahead ( been NIC/EIC electrical company for 20 years ) crashes !! It’s ridiculous that hybrid and ad blue has not been Utilised for the next few years !! But as our governments always do they jump 3 steps in front then it puts us 10 steps backwards in years to come. We must look at the fact our power stations struggle at present without the extra capacity for cars with no new power stations on the cards bar hickley point which is 10 years away ? Our green energy costs a fortune and is so heavily subsidised by the Goverment we all pay a huge premium for this at present
" How to make a million...slowly, by John Lee" i like the sound of that one Vorag,
Anyone recommend any other investing books for the quiet cosy winter weekends ?
Right - off to get ready for me curry - mmmmmm - and Leeds away to Sheff Utd at my Dad's tomorrow lunch - then Monday nail biting and Tuesday we are all rich : ) Perfect next 3 days!!!!
Mark - ta for that. I met an installer of EV electrical charging points nationwide on holiday and he said his company are really busy!!! It's the future!!!
HL sorted it for me. Just had to complete it online. At least they get something right. :)
FB II is good
As MrI said you'll need to complete a tax form but it last 5 years
Expru - a little light reading

And yes if Amgo did this I’d prob keel over !!! But this is the kind of ridiculous move some of these little companies can ( but rarely ) do! I didn’t get the full benefit but I was in and out of mbo when that did a stupid rise out of not a lot .
