Hi IiAG,
Regarding Diredtor buys and closed periods.
The rules is a month “before reporting”
Q2 reporting in the past has been, 3rd week, e.g. Thurs Nov 19th...
- so closed period would start 4 week prior. Around Oct 15th
I.e Roughly around the Vreq complaints issue.
My head tells me any Director Buys “around or before Vreq is completed” is a major trigger point.
That’s what I would do.
This is 2 weeks away;)
FB - 67000 IS THE DENOMINATION AMOUNT - It could be 10x 67000 throughout the day. It could be various amounts throughout the day - as long as the buyer/seller remains anonymous
steve - PT trades are done throughout the trading day in small denominations of one large amount under the radar so as not to influence share price or market sentiment.
Come on JB ffs win this vote
I must be tired or really think because I don’t understand.
So e.g 67x1000 buys throughout the day? But 67000 isn’t a huge amount to purchase or is it who was buying? But that we don’t know!
I just dont get why the secrecy?
What’s a PT trade? :-)
official london stock feed lists it as
2020-09-28T15:36:54.353 GBX 11.96 67196 8036.6416 AT XLON ALGO
Algos are learning :)
no - thats not how it works - multiple trades throughout the day adding up to the final amount declared after the close
I don't know, and I am not that sad to go through the trades!
I thought all the trades added together to 67000 for the PT?
How many times during the day was 67000 shares bought?
It was only 67000 shares, not 670000 or 6700000. I would understand why the latter might change the price, but 67000, people here have bought more than that in one go. So why a PT?
I'd love to know who bought - I have always said it's JB buying back through the other companies he is involve with/owns : )
didnt*
yea i know JB did, but no one ever noticed PT trades, im sure we would have been wagging about how they could be the secret buyer buying on the sly
itsa - JB didn't sell using PT - we saw his 1% sells every day with an RNS the following day
The market is told about the PT at the beginning of the day - the denominations and the frequency, then the total amount is added to trading figures after market close, hence the jump after the close : )
SIMPLES : )
@expru
so was there more PT throughout the day?
Or is there more to come?
I don't understand how a £8k buy would change much?
Now we are all PT experts : )

Well... You learn something new everyday.
i have never seen a PT trade as they dont seem to get reported on any feed i look at (including the official london stock exchange website) even with us watching JBs sells with eagle eyes for 3 months we have not talked about one before!
The PT trade is seen here.

It was only a small order, so how would it change the share price? or is it part of a bigger order?
Is anyone really tired now? Some people (not me) has been married for less time than this!
Its why he put the order in with his broker beforehand, so he has no insider input to the order if he does win
