Nothing new but worth posting from today's Results
Amedeo continued to make progress. In April 2014, the keel of Explorer 1, Amedeo's first jack up rig order was laid at, importantly, Amedeo's new offshore vessel yard. Explorer 1's build is currently on schedule and to quality, and it is expected to be delivered in 3Q15. Moreover, the new yard is fully operational. Discussions with new potential customers are on-going, and despite the declining oil price, the new yard's management are confident of obtaining further orders. Approximately half the world's offshore rig fleet is over 25 years old and replacement cannot be postponed indefinitely. Amedeo's 49% investee, MGR Resources PTE ltd ("MGR"), remained profitable despite a fall in iron ore prices. In addition, MGR improved the quality of its contracts.
Whoops; if only! Not 1.45p, we wish!!! I mean 0.46p now, to sell whether hefty or smaller amounts. Tick up though
You can sell hefty amounts at 1.45p, which has not been possible for some recent days. Tight spread, generally 0.46p to sell & 1.485p to buy, but a premium to buy larger amounts. Looks like it'll be next year for an update now; disappointing the lack of updates, and share price lows, but the Aim market has been similarly hit' generally. I'm continuing to remain positive though, as we all know this has the potential to multi-bag and a positive exciting future.
Actually Year End is Dec 2014, final results would probably be announced Feb/Mar
Amedeo Final Results end of Dec 2014
I know, the ones closer to 0.485 are buys and those nearer the 0.42 mark are sells. All this week all trades have beenshown as sells even thorugh some were buys.
sale is actually a purchase. Me averaging down. Unless some know of bad developments yet to be advised to the market I feel this price decline is a good buying opportunity. gla.
Indonesia to import 500 ships from China Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) yesterday announced a plan to import 500 Chinese-built vessels by 2019. The procurement is expected to strengthen local maritime sector and improve domestic logistics efficiency, in response to the sea highway concept initiated by President Joko Widodo, according to Kadin. "Kadin has held co-operation with China to procure the vessels," Didie Soewondo, vice-chairman of Kadin, told local media. The total value of these vessels will be around $5.5Bn, he added. However, Indonesia's Ministry of Industry expressed regrets over Kadin's move to import vessels from China rather than constructing them in local shipyards. Prior to this, Indonesian government has laid out a set of taxation facilities for investors interested in developing the shipbuilding industry in Indonesia. http://www.ihsmaritime360.com/article/15789/indonesia-to-import-500-ships-from-china
Anyone who can be patient here should see a great profit from this level IMO.... I've been in here before and bought back in yesterday....... this is practically the bottom I would say and any news will blow this sp out the water....
Bought a few quids worth yesterday following the drop (of 4%-ish), looking in today and it's dropped another 16%, bloomin typical luck. Oh well. Good things come etc etc. Merry bloomin christmas :-)
Excellent point. Post rec.
A lot of jackups and other offshore rig builds have been cancelled or suspended by many companies in recent months due to oil price drop. Clients and yards are in fear of financial obligation. For builds already at construction stage, clients may walk away due to financial risk, leaving yards with rigs. Or in case where a contract has been put in place but no build has started either client or yard have cancelled due to financial risk. This doesn't look too good for many clients/yards. But now consider this for YZJ: YZJ is financially stable and in fact one of the best performing yards in China. Singapore is considerably experienced at building offshore rigs compared to China but at a cost. The same rig can be build in China for 20-30% cheaper. YZJ is based both in China and Singapore. YZJ builds take place in China but their expertise comes from Singapore so they have best of both worlds. Every rig cancelled by other clients or other yards is an advantage for YZJ to take the contracts on themselves.
Unbelievable and a total bargain imo. I'm seriously looking at getting some funds from elsewhere. SP too good to turn down, there are going to be plenty of opportunities throughout the market, there seems to be a lot of fear at the moment. GLA.
MM's willing to take-on large amounts, which hasn't been the case for some weeks; a positive sign(maybe a large buy going through, who knows) However, this drop is very disappointing. Selling at this poxy price! Maybe the oil price outlook & rig demand has become a little muted of late, but surely, by the time the 'large ticket items' as Glen describes them as, are finished, one would expect the oil price will have recovered significantly. atleast, all the news that has been posted here lately, does point to an encouraging outlook, in general.,
