Comparing the GGP assets with Clogau is apples and oranges, GGP have large bulk ore bodies with consistent medium grades, Clogau has thin veins of high grade gold which are only sporadically present so harder to hit with exploratory drilling and quantify. GGP has tens of millions of ozs, wheres Clogau is unlikely to get past a couple of million at best, IMO. So GGP may have 10x or 20x the gold we have, with a Mcap of £750m. Of course we have more irons in the fire which may boost our Mcap but at the rate they have been able to progress the Greenland assets it will probably take a couple of years to monetise them.
And @ ocelot as well as some others ... refreshing contributions mate
@ yanis i agree mate I want to have fun too don’t you worry. Just keeping it conservative on my end for now
Same time I could flank a SP prediction of 100p here and then one day in the next year to two years if actually hits that, I may be labelled as correct. But that would have been a fluke.
I personally don’t think ALBA is beyond reaching some of the great SP heights being mentioned. As long most are aware of what is happening in the background at ALBA and not just investing for an overnight gain based on hot air thats all.
Join the party mate! Plenty of virtual beer to go around haha
Shout out to MrNation and St Tropez for posting facts and figures as much as possible as well!
Jeremiah & Shadow_Gunner,
I don’t wish to spoil your party, do enjoy your beer, and I don’t wish to make an SP prediction, but what would you guys tell somebody who when the GGP SP was at 0.4p predicted an SP of 10p or 15p? Of course the GGP SP is now at 20p after hitting a high of 27p.
Sit back guys, enjoy the ALBA ride and let people have fun. GLTA.
@jeremiah
Cheers for the beer! Nothing better than a morning dabble in some fine liquid (virtually of course) :-)
I think its absolutely fair to call out extortionate SPs and try and curb the ‘excitement’ of some with a balanced response.
But yes like you say, imagine it does hit those figures though! :-))) I’ll be throwing a party for all the BB holders here haha. I don’t mind seeing and reading stuff where investors ‘hope’ or ‘wish’ where it could end up given the potential, that to me is refreshing and shows good sentiment. But its the ‘absolutely 100%’ type posts that leave me with a shiver down my spine. Anyway.
Good luck mate and all invested here
@Shadow _Gunner, thanks for the amicable reply, a virtual beer is winging its way to you over the internet. :-) I'll stand by my disapproval of ridiculous s/p forecasts and one sometime has to question the motives of those touting such numbers, but I will be the first to offer grovelling apologies to the poster should we ever hit those dizzy heights. ;-)
At least they are prepared to roll their sleeves up and get their hands dirty. That can’t be said for a lot of men and their briefcase companies.
@ Jeremiah,
I wasn’t planning on becoming a darling, although I have my favourite lipstick on now that I’ve been adorned with such a title lol.
Apologies if I offended you mate, i wasn’t trying to criticise you, just thought your post at the time was slightly aggressive in nature.
Not here to make any enemies, even St Tropez, actually fought his corner a little and gave him a little benefit of the doubt. I always felt a well balanced approach is healthy In response to what someone says on a BB. I’ve had rants on certain BBs about a certain SP but not to deramp. Not a fan of name calling or going in hard on someone is all.
The main reason for the post late last evening was because of what happened to another SP this week, after there was a mass panic sell off for no other reason than mass panic. Im still up on that one thankfully, got in early through research and understand. I just don’t want the same to happen here thats all, because ALBA is potentially a little gem in the making.
Have a good evening all
Shadow_Gunner, you criticised me on Sunday for questioning someone's 10p to 15p s/p prediction on good drill results, now you're the darling of the BB with your 'Lets nourish this company, with a level head and facts and figures, into a fruitful tree, and without overstating an expected SP, as the disappointment in expectation is what sets a panic sell off.'
Apology accepted...
Late trades showing up after COP is very encouraging.
This could go on for days or a few weeks but it means investors are taking larger positions
Maybe stating the obvious but this is what has been happening at GGP with II's recently
Looking forward to the next month or so... to see what they have unearthed.... Rup
With this lockdown many people have started investing with companies like trading 212, i am one of those people and i have limited resources so for me for example 25000 shares at average of 0.493.
with respect to the numerous sub £100 even sun £10 transactions, what's going on with that ? perople putting in "real" dummy trades or some MM tactic that I am as yet unaware of ?
If I can just say..
If and when the news is released, and it is not 100% what people expect, please don’t panic. Seen it happen on another company this week, and expectations far outweighed reality. Expectations were largely high due to subliminal and blatant extortionate SP predictions etc.
I’m very excited about this share/company of course and hold a considerable amount. Lets all try and curb getting ahead of ourselves and ramp this one, even by accident due to enthusiasm. This isn’t aimed at anyone in particular but I just hope people agree that over excitement can sometimes have a negative impact on news day for the majority of investors who rely on rampant posts as an investment strategy.
Lets nourish this company, with a level head and facts and figures, into a fruitful tree, and without overstating an expected SP, as the disappointment in expectation is what sets a panic sell off.
Goos luck to all invested here
IG
just to play with the MM generated ripples during the day without altering my fundamental position.
And how is CFD going to help?
Anyone know of a platform that does CFD trading that covers ALBA ?
If MM are going to play games I may as well profit from it. Ive got my holding and I'm not selling for a long time
Most of the late trades were above 0.5p and this is a good thing. RNS soon I think.
Same yesterday, late recorded trades were about 200 million. Today about 100 million. Doesn’t make sense! Warrants gone? Large order being worked in? TR-1 coming?
As long as it’s not at the expense of everyone who’s in now....
What's with all the late showing trades.....over 100m late logged trades. Something brewing...TR1???
