Noobz - thanks for emailing the company. Hopefully, they will clarify for us.
LL010 did its job of finding further quartz veins and delineating the widths and dip etc. Assaying for whatever gold may be present is of minor secondary importance as, has been mentioned umpteen times, the bulk of any gold will be concentrated in high grade zones. It is more than likely that a single drill hole will return minimal or even zero grades of gold while a few metres along there could be bonanza grades. One can imagine the squealing of the traders on here and resultant s/p plummet should GF decide to publish meagre LL010 assays, even though the overall gold grades throughout the quartz may ultimately equal the historical 17gms/tonne. Hopefully it would see off some of the impatient whingers on this BB.
Andysel, LL010 was probably their best drill? If they have not assayed this one then they are in the wrong business … they should pack up and go.
I think, as some say, we been GF’ed again! If he doesn’t RNS LL010 assay results soon then there is no hope - SP will not break out.
Xcoder Thankyou for opening my eyes and raising the question in my mind. I was waiting for these as are the others but perhaps I was GF’d. I have sent an email to them.
@Yanis, i would tend to agree, however as LL010 was not originally planned they may not have Assay'd it, or there was not sufficient grade to warrant putting it in the RNS (however this seems unlikely as there was literally nearly a whole RNS just for LL010 earlier in the year). Either way it would be good to have this communicated.
Whilst I can see where you coming from xcoder they did say assay together and that they have said best grades and omitted these results. With the way GF was talking about hole 10 especially that they think it is open at further depth and they want to retest this later it seems funny that they found nothing. Email required I take both points here. Perhaps more managing news?
Andysel, valid point. The LL010 assay results should be RNS’ed, it takes two weeks to do this (according to GF). Maybe we’ll get an RNS this week?
HI Andy, it doesn't say they didn't assay any of the cores, it just lists the ones where significant grades were found. That's just the way I read it - sorry if I'm missing something. It's an encouraging grade in LL008 and hopefully lots more to be found!
@xcoder, it would seem strange not to Assay the largest core drill, they have Assay'd every other hole they have drilled. we were informed in an earlier RNS that all the cores from the phase 1 drilling will be sent for Assay. it may be that because LL010 was not originally planned there may either be a delay in scheduling in the Assay for the extra hole, or they are not doing one, either way we should be informed. Its worth noting that they recovered over half a ton of quartz from LL010, as an explorer why would you not test it for mineralisation?
Hi Andy - looking at the RNS there is no mention of any results to come. The Table 1 only lists holes were significant gold grades were found - these are 1,2,3,8 and 9. I can only assume the others didn't have anything significant and this would include hole 10.
@xcoder
we have had the Assay results form the phase 1 drilling, showing good levels of mineralisation, however, the most important drill hole, LL010 we have not seen any Assay results for, we are assuming that this would be done as with all the other holes
Why do people think we are still awaiting results of LL010?
extract from RNS dated 12th March:
Key Points
· LL010, the final hole in Alba's Phase 1 surface drilling programme, has been completed.
· LL010 was the deepest hole drilled at 176.4 m. It intersected the Upper Lode quartz vein system from 120 to 129 m and the Lower Lode quartz vein system from 139 to 145 m.
· A total of 1.82 m of quartz veins were intersected in the Upper Lode and 5.92 m in the Lower Lode including one intercept of 3.73 m which is the widest intercept in the entire programme.
· At its deepest point LL010 intersected the lode structure 122 metres below the existing Llechfraith mine workings, almost doubling the depth extent identified previously by LL009 (at 66 metres).
· Now that Phase 1 has been completed, Alba's initial geological modelling indicates that the total tonnage estimation for the newly identified lode structure is between 24,000 to 27,000 tonnes in the Lower Lode alone.
· The lode structure remains open at depth within economic stratigraphy below the deepest intercept in LL010, and the western strike extent has yet to be constrained, meaning that this tonnage estimation for the Lower Lode has the potential to be materially increased by further exploration drilling.
· The success of LL010 strongly reinforces Alba's view that the newly modelled zone, which Alba is calling the Llechfraith Lode, is a key target for future development and production at Clogau-St David's.
· Intersecting the lode structure at such depth has significant implications for the entire Clogau St. David's Project, as it indicates that gold-bearing structures mined in and around the mine could extend significantly to depths which historical mining efforts never reached.
there was nearly a whole RNS detailing the quartz veins intersected by LL010, i'm assuming the went to Assay and we will get some results of mineralisation
“Saved the best til last”, are the words that came from GF’s lips.
So let’s hear about the grades found from the assay and inform us of the quartz zones that were intersected?????? What is so great about LL010???
We would all love to know. GLA
