The bod are obliged to report such matters as new prospects. I realise that our focus is on ipo and dewatering, but there's no negatives in today's rns., only positives. There's no one more peeved than me with nrw lack of alacrity and transparency, and I've made a complaint to them some weeks ago.
Golds still there...
Mms will play games
Easy easy... No rush
Surely by now GF must have got the message that every incidental and unimportant RNS is going to drop the share price.
Time and time again this has happened and he still hasn't, or doesn't want to, realize that the one RNS we want is one stating that that some gold has been produced and how much! Exploration far and wide is fine but surely some of this energy must be diverted to production instead from whatever resources we have.
TullyCrow, it all boils down to extremely poor PR. Check out KAV I mentioned in my previous post.
Alba IMO has superior assets.
KAV also showed nothing yet, they are still exploring.
IMO Alba MCap should be much higher than KAV. Yet, Alba has £15 mil MCap and KAV has £25 mil MCap - Why the difference? Better PR. Check and compare RNSs and tweets.
Very happy with the RNS, they wouldn't have sought to expand the total licence area if they didn't think it was worth doing:
... This new area will be included within our overall plan for
continued regional exploration of the Dolgellau Gold Field, details of which will be
announced soon.”
well there has to be some gold to show, and a reason for not showing it. who cares I have almost given up wasting my time with this
Hi Yanis
Welsh interests wont save ALBA until they actually show the gold, otherwise it's just more holes and associated expense. I can honestly say I haven't sold a share as yet, but like others i suspect we all feel misled. The market doesn't often get it wrong and for many many weeks this has dropped whilst others perhaps better informed have bailed out. I honestly can't be bothered to go through all the RNs released by ALBA or the podcasts to see the Grin of GF and how excited they all were at their latest discovery. Share price soared on the strength of his many comments only to be hit with sell after sell. Am i suspicious? You bet I am...especially seeing that nothing has been produced.
6,926,891 share dump at 0.2335p
Today was a great RNS I suppose … just what the market was expecting - more pressure on the SP.
Just hope this IPO is launched this week (late Sept taken as 20-30 Sep, we are in late Sep now). This IPO is another letdown … launch in August … becomes mid-September … becomes late September.
Either they don’t want to show and tell as it will make everyone buy a metal detector, pick, shovel and drive to Wales like the Aussie gold hunters or they are scared of going to jail…
TyllyCrow,
I agree with most of what you posted (09:58) but not with the last statement - Welsh gold interest will certainly help the SP.
The problem here is as I said many times - the Alba PR.
When was the last REAL tweet or RNS on Clogau. And I think all know what I mean by real.
Check the PR of KAV -Kavango Resources (disclaimer: I do not own shares, just for comparison). They have an MCap of ~£25 mil Vs Alba’s ~£15 mil. Compare their assets and their PR, RNS and tweets. Alba has by far superior assets in my opinion.
They have been pushing their luck for a year now. Getting paid while the power pushes down the sp to demoralise the MAJORITY of SHAREHOLDERS. I’m too stubborn to sell at a loss.
When i saw the headline of todays RNs, i thought to myself finally...But no...Just more holes to be dug and further soothing words from Mr Grin. When is this company actually going to produce some gold? We hear about quartz, excitement, past drills etc but nothing is produced. Is this new exclusive license to drill just another way of saying we can't find anything where we have drilled up to date? If they had announced that they had already found gold and were now expanding the site then fair enough, but they just go from month to month on a song and a prayer trying to find gold, and to date they have failed miserably. When GreenRoc finally gets launched it may save the ALBA share price, because Welsh interests certainly wont.
Cmon cmon aaaaaaaaaah…
I understood the joke Nookie :-)
Nookie ????
Copland, are you Elvis?
How about a little less exploration and a little more production!

Alba's Executive Chairman, George Frangeskides, commented:
"We are very pleased to have been granted this new licence area within the Dolgellau Gold Field. It consolidates our control of the prospective gold exploration ground both within and adjacent to the Gold Field. This new area will be included within our overall plan for continued regional exploration of the Dolgellau Gold Field, details of w
