I think a successful GL drill campaign followed by a spinoff at a good price will boost the s/p several fold and add a cash lump sum to the coffers to get Clogau going. Doing it the other way round would take years, IMO, and in any case we are not arctic miners, the costs and logistics would be beyond us whereas we could handle a small, good grade, high margin, boutique mine in Wales that already has most of its infrastructure in place.
Jeremiah,
To be giving most of the attention to Greenland at this present moment is the wrong thing to do. Most of the attention should be on Clogau.
Even Alba acknowledged that last years meteoric rise from 0.048p to 0.56p was down to Clogau in the Listco RNS.On this basis, not to be capitalising on Clogau is the wrong thing to do for shareholder’s interest.
They should be giving most of the attention (should have done so already) on early revenue generation. They know is Clogau (and Clogau alone) that propelled the SP to last year’s high of 0.56p, said so in the RNS, unforgivable that they dropped (lost) the Clogau ball.
If we don’t get a Clogau RNS soon (as in the next couple of days) expect the SP to drop to below 0.2p. Ofcourse, from what you are saying you don’t mind that.
I would imagine the (small) BoD's time has been almost fully taken up with approaching institutions and corporate lawyers etc. prior to implementing the Greenland Newco float, as well as liaising with the GL govt and contractors to arrange the drilling campaign. Hopefully the diversion of their attention will bear plenty of fruit in months to come.
Another lol, tight spread seems to be supporting trading quite nicely from my point of view.
Constant down slip with the odd tiny blip to reduce your average, ultimately, eventually topped off with a tasty spike of profit slice.
I would say can't wait, but quite clearly, I can.
Plenty of time on my hands.
Jeremiah, “sit patiently and just let the story pan out at its own pace”? Really? Have you taken a look at the SP? There is a very good reason for it to be sinking.
And by the way, there are no short term traders here … they are all gone. For the last few weeks Alba volume does not support trading.
I agree been here nearly two years with a 3million share holding
There must be few things more irritating to a BoD than a squealing short term trader who is out of pocket. Real long term investors of the kind which any fledgling company would love to attract, will sit patiently and just let the story pan out at its own pace.
Where is the gold...in the ground waiting for the year 3000 for gf to pull his bleeding finger out the muppet
Mark, I will be sending another email to Alba this week. This time a lot stronger in tone. All the damage done to the SP is caused by the way the Alba BOD acted. This is frustrating and unwarranted and hopefully, this time I will manage to send the message home.
Explain?
Don’t know about anyone else but I feel I’m caught between a rock and a hard place here ?
Craig, no, no news is not bad news.
We know this from experience. Earlier on we were expecting last years bulk sample assays at the end of Q1, but last April GF downplayed the expected assay results and delayed the laboratory analysis. The assays came in May and they were excellent (up to 165 g/t from concentrate) but the SP by then was so damaged it failed to appreciate.
Not necessarily bad news, is George loosing the ball.
Bid now sub 25 hard to tell without l2 what is happening are they making a push for support? Looks like GF is waiting for the bottom before the next news run
surely no news is bad news? If there was positive results to be shared then I imagine they would have been announced. Is it possible that there is infact little gold, and they are trying to string this out for as long as possible?
Elir, The AGM just finished … hopefully a Q&A session soon.
We just passed the middle of June … early revenue generation confirmation was expected in the middle of May … I think another email to Alba is justified. Looks like George not just dropped the Clogau ball but lost it.
@Yanis .. .you should bring it up in the next AGM ... well .... virtually you know
I thought alba had contractors on the ground in Greenland already while Clogau is progressing….lucky for me prem the dog is supporting my other dogs.
Ham, I think they dropped the Clogau ball and are concentrating on Greenland Listco - big mistake.
They should be concentrating on Clogau for now, in fact they should have gone for early revenue generation much earlier. Imagine how high the SP would be if we were producing gold from the waste pits in parallel to exploration … and add to that a showing or two of gold (but not from the waste pits).
The SP would have been so high so that Greenland spinout would not have come in to the picture. They are only spinning out because it is not easy raising from the current rotten SP.
Hi Yanis
This is getting beyond insanity.... why not just once can they deliver on a date
Ham, we need an update on early revenue generation from the waste pits, was expected a month ago. I emailed Alba reminding them of this (re 13 April RNS).
I hope this doesn’t turn out like the delayed bulk sample assays.
Next RNS to say "we have dug a couple of holes and have sent the material for assaying, results due in 2085".
just bought an old jaguar without seeing it, dont hold much hope but reckon it will make me more from a £1000 puchase than an unseen gold mine
So bored of this
and myself
