Hi Starchild,
If you (and your team?) are researching you should be aware that a takeover is very much on the cards, which is the driver for the price right now. This isn't a strong sell at all.
The ADVFN business is now reporting a £1M annual projected profit in it's latest update, so is only trading in 20x now anyway!
Cheers
Thanks for nothing, not really useful information a load of jibberish trying to get the price down after selling to buy back in. Fair play though for the effort

Simple00’s post Monday was very good. Why did they feel compelled to issue an RNS under the circumstances? Strange when a company appears ‘forced’ to issue an RNS pre-empting a future positive RNS.
I am aware complaints have been made due to their alleged lack of moderators’ oversight. It is also alleged almost anything goes on their BBs including alleged trolling, share manipulation and ra61st comments. What if they get fined or have their wings clipped by the authorities? What happens to future profit? Will advertisers pull out? If I was an advertiser I wouldn’t want to be associated with the stuff they allow under freedom of speech. At least LSE BBs are moderated to, I believe, a greater extent. Although not a PLC (hence I am not ramping them) , they recently appointed a COO to move the company forward in competition to ADF+N.
The SP more than doubled since I bought at 32.5p in February. I have now sold. For the record I’m not into CFD’s or shorting. Look back at my previous posts. I tend to be upbeat in companies I invest in with heavy research I or my staff undertake.
However I could be wrong and there could be a bid in progress…..so DYOR and don’t use this post as a basis for your decision.
IMHO: STRONG SELL
GL folks.

Is anybody alive?
Will there be a takeover?
Yes Clem has run this for 20 years without any regard for shareholders. Its time for someone else
if was a dead duck it would of tank..
hold on
power of the low float
take over
hold for gold
its coming
mm
are going to do a tree shake soon
I genuinely believe a takeover or offer will be received by June . especially given today’s Panic RNS issued . Fill your boots Chuck what you have at this !! Will start moving fast when the market cottons on
big rise is the desired effect of course.
Make Yair pay through the nose..... battle well and truly engaged!!
For holders here it means exactly that - keep holding!
1 million profit compared to a previous loss is great news. Books looking healthy , any buyers sniffing about know there buying a profitable business model that isn’t losing money especially within a pandemic ! Great timing also indicates there is definitely a takeover or a least interest sniffing about . Think this won’t be the only RNS this week !
But will take a good rise today
So we know very clearly that the board is fully aware that a hostile takeover is underway. This is their attempt at assuaging long term shareholders that the ship is in good hands with old Clem at the helm. Pathetic actually and consistent with the small minded egotist Chambers is. What right minded shareholder would back this board against a £1.50 bid given the perform across 20 years. Chambers is just a lazy wage slave, no leadership nor requisite ability to run a sweet shop never mind ADVFN.
So old Clem has felt the need to come out fighting. Too little too late. This business with the right leadership should be generating £10m a year not a paltry £1m and having had to endure losses for pretty much £20 years. Run by Chambers as though it was his own private business. He needs to go. Let the takeover happen!
that's not a bad thing.
Not much traffic again today
I think the price action here has been very positive (not just the obvious rise) but the stability on days without the RNS..... this has all the hallmarks of patient holders waiting, whilst each new chapter of the holdings saga will trigger a further rise as a low float is chased by the increasing number of traders watching on the side.
I still think this may have a bit more volatility to come as some get in and out short term, but a 30% RNS would move this quickly to a potential takeover offer price - and that could be anybody's guess but definitely more than now.
It certainly does look like the classic stock-hoover in action scenario.
I'm going to hold on tight and see how she runs... ADVFN has been sooo undervalued, considering its global reach.
I have also been buying OBC, as that has hardly moved, despite owning 18% of ADVFN.
2 x 25,000 trades at 79p each went through..... probably buys IMHO
Notice how the bid drops but it's incredibly difficult to get cheaper shares. I think the float is running quite short and orders are being filled. Midday auctions tend to show a few chunky orders in the background too. There's only 25mil shares and nearly 70% of those are held. Can see a rocket up AFN's arse over the coming weeks.
UT @ 85, think we'll finish in the 90's today
Was no significant rise on TR1’s folk cautious of the reduction in shares a suppose . Won’t be happy if they get caught out if news lands
Simple00 you still holding?
Where's it gone?
