Nice one! Not sure whether to laugh or cry though.
What is even sadder is that the fuel cell was actually invented in 1842!
I've enjoyed reading the detective work some of you have put in regarding Fridays price action. I can't deny I'm looking forward to Monday to see what we may learn, though it is not the first time I have seen this type of action. What makes this interesting for me is, as chippy has summed up nicely, we are in an uptrend and green tech is the buzz at the minute. I can't help but feel that "our" turn in the limelight is overdue. It is my personal belief that what AFC have developed/are developing is currently undervalued, and we are due a re-evaluation.
There are many posters who can put things far more eloquently than I, and many here with far more knowledge than I have too, however, we have all shared a common ineterest, and have seen this board change personality along with the share price. I've seen it writen and written it myself before, though I truly believe that this time, finally, the world is on our side. Despite our frustrations, mistakes made along the way, poor or misleading communication, changes of direction, huge fluctuations in share price, interesting posters, the list can go on, we are here today with several products that the world wants and needs.
Watching the NASA/Space X launch tonight made me quite excited. Remember the basis of much of the technology we are presenting to the world was developed and proven in the 1960s! The only sad story here is that it was not utilised sooner.
I, as most of you, will be watching closely Monday morning. I trust AFC will continue to deliver, the future is bright, and the future is now.
What we do know is there was a rise an auction into the close. Tradegate rose and then settled. It cant be insider trading as that would be illegal but the trend is buying pressure not selling pressure going by the trend up. We know where we got last time and we know clean and green tech companies are on the move. The rest is up to individual investors...
What it does show is lse is totally rubbish in reporting trades
Sorry didn't see Athansius's post. I think that's all cleared up then. Roll on Monday..
Hi Notes, it's a single trade. It would be great if it wasn't and I'd love to be wrong.
These are the after hours share trades currently showing on the AFC page on ii described by Tetrolite earlier.
Single big trade, the post auction UT trade.

Buys and Sells are indicators only and are not definitive data items. The type of trade is judged on the basis of the trade price in relation to the mid-price at the time the trade is published, e.g. if the trade price is greater than the mid-price, a purchase is assumed. Therefore, Buy/Sell indicators can occasionally be incorrect. Trades are delayed by at least 15 minutes, unless otherwise stated.

I get the impression there may be some confusion on the board about the auction process and resultant UT trades. This video has helped me in the past:

For those that aren’t able to access the after hours Share Trades, here are a few more.
Notice the variation in trade times, price, volume, bid and times.

IMO because of all these variants. I think there is an institutional investor at work here. We may well find out on Monday.
Ferroty, follow the link given by dtyland below, scroll down and you will see the last 5 trades of the day. This is the official stock exchange page for AFC and is where I got the information I posted earlier today.
There was a single trade of 345k at 1640. It was a UT trade and it was this trade alone that caused the recorded 8% rise just after close.
I expect AFC to open flat at about 25p on Monday. I said early yesterday afternoon when it was below the opening price that I though this would rise into the weekend so I am glad it has. I also thought it would be a good week for the sp next week.
Fingers crossed, but I don't see any sign of a blockbuster RNS on Monday morning and 11m shares were not sold after COP yesterday.
sorry 11 million
Where is this 345k trade, I don't see it and where does this 7 million fit in ????
Thanks dtyland. Yes, an L2 subscription is well overdue. And I wasn’t aware of the new stock exchange page, cheers for that.
Failing that, the (new) London Stock Exchange site probably has most of the information you are looking for, including the Friday Buy at 16.40.23 at 25.5p that pushed the price up to a Rise of 8.74%.

Why not just subscribe to L2? When Barclays Stockbrokers stopped buying overseas shares for me they transferred me to SaxoTraderGO and for £8 I get a full month's entertainment and detailed information.
Having seen the L2, FCI and Athansius have it right.. it’s a single trade. That alone doesn’t explain the activity on L2 so I’m of the view something is afoot. A moderate gap up on Monday’s open would be welcome, and not wholly unexpected. But of course I could be completely wrong.
Iv just followed you, if you follow me back I’ll send the pics
Yes, in a manner of speaking. I don’t tweet but do have an account: @adam101
Are you on twitter?
Diversified, I’d love to see those L2 screenshots.
Is there any way you could upload these to a cloud service like Dropbox and post a link? On the one hand, the rapid succession of trades at that volume makes me think ‘glitch’ but then on further thinking, I can’t get ‘massive buyer’ out of my head..!
When you watch L2 on a regular basis, you come to understand how far away the market makers are from the ask and bid more often than not.
This wasn’t the first time I’ve watched Afc and others in auction, yet the market makers jumped onto the bid and moved away from the ask.
The share price added 5% from auction to UT. Adding approx. £5m to the market cap and not because someone bought 345k shares or approx £75k
I have no idea Notes. I very much hope it is all as it seems in which case there is something significant happening. But it doesn't feel right to me. Just my view.....I may be totally wrong and claim no particular expertise.
Have a great weekend all.......it's lovely out there.
Dersack, this is a possibility. The variation in numbers of shares per transaction may be as a result of currency fluctuations throughout that time of activity.
You may find that if you add all the transactions they may come to a nice round figure in dollars or another currency.
This is speculation though and would take some working out and requires all the info including the currency rates.
