I normally leave em 8 weeks but you know what, I will open this early ).
If the price isn't up at least I'll have 19 litres to drown my sorrows
Chip, when will the beer be ready!!
I feel this RNS is a "honestly we were working during lockdown."
I will refrain from talking about fruit compote in the future, but really they need to show the products currently developed have a market that sees value in their products.
As for a storm brewing, I'm brewing this today.

Hopefully by the time its ready to drink we'll be above 50p
BB, I posted the suggestion a couple of weeks ago that the company should send out some updates on the various products as it had been 6 months since the proper launch RNSs in November. Today's RNS fits perfectly into this and I agree that an AlkaMem RNS is also due.
Then we have all the other action points I just posted to consider. Let's hope that the directors are listening!
I just hope AB gives us a bite of the cherry rather than drip dilution to his errr, well you know! ;-)
Yes. A few quid. Hopefully this will come from sales and not from debt or us shareholders.
Come on AFC deliver on your promises and get the EV charger systems sold into the market.
A fair few quid required to keep lights on until 2022? Also I'm a little confused, is this the build they weren't going to build?
We could do with some orders, not another jam tomorrow RNS.
Excellent news! Now sell the rights for use of the Membrane outside of the Fuel Cell industry, must be worth a few hundred million just for that!!
It is absolutely astonishing that the share price is still not flying despite all of the recent newsflow and the indications that this is set to continue. Just look at what is happening to ITM/CWR and you can see there are people prepared to throw billions of pounds into risky longterm investments in the hydrogen economy. I note that PHE is also flying, albeit from a lower MCap.
I suspect that there are a few key issues affecting the reaction to AFC (e.g. the previous broken promises, the relentless selling by the former large shareholders and the pump'n'dump cycle involving Schroders) but these all seem to be fading into the background now as the newsflow continues.
Obviously, the key driver is going to be contracts in the end but I am struggling to remember the last time that I saw a company so clearly saying "watch this space, exciting things are happening" and the market seemingly barely noticing it. Interesting times...
No prob, as an ex boxer I probably should have Rocky as my user name instead of Rooky.
Daz, you could look at AFC and think that at this price it really is good value. There is no reason why it cannot achieve the MCap of ITM once they start to receive orders. What AFC have achieved with no debt and a small number of shares is incredible. It should be easy for AFC to become profitable as the cells are low cost to manufacture, they do not have the overheads of a production/manufacturing facility (why would you want this if your system is designed with low cost of the shelf components) and they appear to be generating good relationships with their supply chain. Business model offers great potential and value
Agree Rooky, however, we now appear to be on an upward trend, hopefully for good this time. With so many revenue streams being introduced investors must be starting to think it’s all going to kick off soon, also we may benefit from investors in ITM who think it is overpriced having a look here for somewhere to put their profits

Sorry. Predictive text on small phone
Rocky. AFC are now getting all their ducks in a row. I just want them to generate an income from sales of the smaller system before they start promoting the larger system. Completely different systems in their own right but the focus for investors should be the smaller EV system and membrane sales. I honestly dont think it will be long. COVID-19 has squashed a lot of plans but businesses are finding ways to get back to normal. I still believe AFC is offering great value at it's current price in comparison to its peers and closest competitors.
Although a very good RNS for the future, I think there will be a lack of reaction due to the fact that we are all hoping for the RNS 'We have signed contracts with......'. so when we read an RNS regarding where we might be in 1 to 2 years, human nature takes over and it tends to deflate us somewhat.
So yes it does look like more jam next year or year after, but it's that jam today we are all hungry for.
I expect some uplift today, but not much.
Exciting times ahead for this one. The here and now should be the focus for investors. AFC have given 2 years to commercialise the high density cells. Us investors are hoping that the smaller EV charger systems and membrane sales will have put AFC well and truly on the map for hydrogen power by 2022.
The applications for the larger cell presents a massive opportunity to clean up transport and provide an alternative source of power to dirty diesel. I expect existing shipping could be retrofitted with several large fuel cell system to turn the ships props
Surprised the RNS hasn't lifted the sp on Tradegate just a little.
It is interesting to see that Tradegate hasn't really reacted to the RNS or the LinkedIn update last night. Just waiting for the penny to drop! Very exciting times.
Not forgetting offgrid power for construction site compounds etc. Using a number of these larger cells in a ship over commercial shipping engines would reduce pollution considerably from one of the largest polluting industries.
Athanasius. I agree. The cell is ideal for trains and shipping.
Interesting read. Perhaps not very exciting as 2020 is the year we are expecting sales of the smaller units. I will get excited when AFC release an RNS confirming sales of EV chargers or something from the membrane.
Alkamem notwithstanding, I can't help but feel that this is where AFCs short term future lies......not with stationery power generation competing against eg nuclear (now getting down to 4p/KWh.....buit with this much more dense solid fuel cell. They have been quietly hinting at trains for some time, but here it is in an RNS.....automotive applications with interest from end users already manifest. This is also the system that will replace diesel gen sets.....smaller, portable, power dense. EV charging systems will run perfectly well with the liquid system as bulk and transportability not an issue, but if we get these units into regular automotive production the MCap will dwarf where we are today and this will be a multi billion pound company.
Got it. Thanks Jimmynan.
