Fredx4. What on earth are you doing on this board? If you’re not into AFC that’s fine. If you’re not interested in new technologies helping rid the world of dirty, outdated technology that have been doing untold harm to the planet since the industrial revolution. That’s your choice. But do us a favour, go and start ramping the oilie boards rather than blatantly shorting stocks like AFC. Your negativity is tedious beyond words! Goodbye!
Littlefinger, muscorum, chippy, fair opinions, well stated.
Fredx3 there was a major review of both the business model and the tech following the shut down of Kore. With Denora and AFC techs the reality it we were only commercial as of last December. This was a phased implementation of tech starting with the small demo unit.
Southern will I'm sure take the unit once they've sorted out their final design and funding.
fred , you say,
'Amazing AFC Energy is still managing to tread water, but it can't last.
AFC have sold nothing, ever, '
and we are at this level in spite of that, others are hugely effected at the moment by loss of income and slashed profits,
AFC however already has this priced in because we have no profits or turnover to fall , hence the 'treading of water'.
The SP at the moment seems to be in line with the general markets rather than the fortunes of the company.
Chippy - interesting view, although another view is as written in The Guardian today "...the fossil fuel industry will bounce back as it always has, and bargain basement oil prices will slow the much-needed transition to green energy".
Amazing AFC Energy is still managing to tread water, but it can't last.
AFC have sold nothing, ever, despite RNS's claiming to have done so that never actually made it to the "here is your XYZ Sir / thank you AFC Energy here is your £££" stage.
The harsh truth that some locked in here nursing heavy losses cannot face but know to be true, is that AFC Energy couldn't and didn't sell anything in the 10+ years before Coronavirus, so how does anyone seriously believe they will sell something during the Coronavirus outbreak or even in the year or so after the Coronavirus outbreak is over (which could be, well, unfortunately, and tragically, who knows)?
Doubtless abuse will ensue despite this simply being a non-abusive counter argument and opinion, but it'll be water off Ducks back and all that, there are far, far larger issues to concern ourselves with right now.
I agree Chippy. This has really highlighted the impact industrial emissions have on the environment.
Daz the whole of the country could go out of business, doesn't meant to say a solvent company before the crisis will as the Government have made it clear they will support business and are paying a huge wage bill to most of the country at the moment.
De Nora....no
Advanced plastics...don't think so.
Rolec....unlikely to make any different.
Most of the other stuff could be sourced from any number of companies.
What this may have effected most is sales right now. Going forward, there will be a huge amount of climate data from the reduction of polutants into the atmosphere which the green campaigners will latch onto post virus. This will only strengthen AFC and other green tech companies position in my view.
Not a deliberate deramp Chippy, this is a serious risk to AFC's business, if one of their partners goes out of business it will seriously set them back.
By the way jggb I can see why you think it might have been directed at you which it wasn't given that you started the thread. I posted an update which was my opinion and contained no personal content. I then responded to next post in the thread which I had filtered and couldn't see. But for the record I used the words negative and basher. Take another look at the words you have used which are almost certainly personal.
Take another look at my post jgbb and then take another look at my post in which I was expressing my opinion and take your abuse elsewhere. And by way in case you missed it my post wasn't aimed at you.
Come on now daz, all the companies in the UK and you chose 2 suppliers of AFC to mention. That was a deliberate de ramp..
The reality is, all unnecessary expense will be pared back until an end to this is in sight and companies can reassess their cash in hand or reconfirm the previous expenditure is still justified.
For AFC the big thing they could do in this situation is to get the solid high power density cell ready for sale when the virus dust settles.
Then I think you will see a completely different drive in sales.
Sharesport,
Until now, you have just been a boring, non descriptive mood hoover to me, who I just ignore.
But if you want to get personal, perhaps you should read through my posts first before spouting your thoughtless drivel!
As a very heavily invested holder of AFC I want nothing more than success for the company but also as a heavily invested shareholder I am entitled to my views on this board without being subjected to demeaning accusations from a fool like you.
As you probably don’t go out much anyway, you probably wouldn’t be aware of what is actually going on in the World right now, but hey, ignorance is bliss eh?
To everyone else here, I will try wherever possible to post balanced views and as we’re “all in this together” will try to lift the mood on occasions while at the same time trying to keep the BOD as accountable as we can expect from them in what is very different times for us all
Hey chippjo, could you amend me to 275000 please. Thanks.
Hi Chippy, i'm not suggesting customers will be focussed on purchasing EV chargers right now although business is carrying on, I've just received 2 very nice orders today. AFC have no funding issues right now, but yes you are right, they may be worried about their suppliers staying in business, Advanced plastics, Rolec and whoever else could go into administration I suppose.
It's a good time to promote your business even if only to shareholders, if you follow H2view on twitter there's plenty of activity going on right now.
Daz we are in the middle of a global pandemic. You think there will be companies pushing more vital company decisions at the moment than ev chargers. Like staying in business....
9th March was non regulatory if I choose to split hairs...
That is a list of the bare minimum required legally.
I'm amazed what low expectations some people have.
Let's see a bit of enthusiasm and excitement from the guy at the top ! Does he have any drive whatsoever ?
Communication from March. Seems reasonable to me.
30 March Notice of AGM and Posting of Accounts
23 March Listing & Issue Subscription
19 March Non Regulatory Announcement COVID-19 Update
09 March Non Regulatory Announcement Appointment of National EV Sales Manager
Whatever happened to the blog? Is it still on the go?
I just can’t help feeling this would be a great time for AFC to use tools such as social media and blogging to encourage shareholders, staff and potential customers alike that the future could be very bright for us all when this is all over.
When we see some of the fantastic things people are doing like Andrew Lloyd Webber on STV news last night, surely it wouldn’t be beyond the capacity of AFC to do something creative in this time of dire fear and sadness that is going on in the World.
Update us on how the people at DeNora in Italy are coping.
How the AFC staff are all getting on.
What the sales team are doing to stay proactive.
Adam could even play us a time on his guitar if he is so inclined!
There are so many ways AFC could help keep spirits up but nothing is forthcoming. I find this very disappointing.
